Haha It's pretty much his unofficial battle cry.

Very cool redfox. Love the usage of the snow.

I wish, since Hasbro is so anti-packing in the stands these days, they'd just sell a bunch of unmarked ones in a cheap bundle. I like those stands more than any others and I hate having to buy old figures just to get them.

FancyPants 01-17-2013 04:41 PM

Took some shots at my dad's house today. Here's the MU portion

You probably already have, but have you tried the Modern Stands from SmallJoes.com? They're roughly the same size, and have multiple pegs so that you can pose them a better on the stand.

I like the MU stands too, but these work really well for those figures that don't come with them.

Yeah, always throws me back to the 90's cartoon. It's Scott's "I'm frustrated" move.

Maybe it was Scarlett Johansson's acting, but I can't stand that line. Every time I hear it makes me cringe. Maybe if she'd actually had a Russian accent or something.

Th0r4z1n3 01-18-2013 01:15 AM

Got a friend in Oz to middle-man me one of those Anti-Venom sets! The cool thing about it, when he went to pick it up, it was on clearance for $15!

I was thinking this same thing but then I remembered my ex-wife who is German and never in our 20 years being married did she ever have a German accent when speaking to Americans. I recall once when we went to visit my Mom in Mississippi, we ran into my old boss and we started talking and I could hear she was using a little southern "twang" talking to him. I almost lost my coke I was drinking when my former boss asked my wife, well what state you from, my wife said Bavaria. My boss looked at me and then my wife and he said what state is that. I lost it then. Then he said you ain't from around here are you. I really lost it then. He was okay with it though and complimented my wife on how he couldn't tell the difference in her speaking. She was very proud of herself.

Excellent display, sir.

But I have to say "Holy @$#! does Natasha have issues!". It looks like she shot them both in the crotch. You'd need a pallet each of Visine, Oxy Clean and Liquid Paper to get that much red out.

Hm, no, I've never heard of the place. I'll give 'em a try, thanks!

Be wary though with Smalljoes, they are notorious for poor customer service, getting orders wrong and the guy who runs it is not exactly helpful. Twice I've ordered from there to poor results and some of the forums have people who've had similar problems.

They may be improving, as I ordered a few of the clear acrylic 3 step displays and they were mailed te same day I ordered them with no issues.

mikefavata 01-18-2013 12:06 PM

I'll vouch for Smalljoes. I order all my stands and 3-tier risers for my Detolf from them without any issues.

I haven't ordered from them heavily, but the couple of times I did there were no problems; I usually just order stands though, so it's hard to eff that up I guess.

Great pictures, guys. That bloody snow scene is awesome, red.

Nice score. He should buy up all he finds at that price.

Right, and she is a capable spy that I'm sure could hide her accent. I just thought she had an accent in the comics. In the movie I don't even know if they mentioned her Russian origin at all (in IM2?). I think as far as the movie-going audience is concerned she's American.

Hey, thanks! I don't get snow a lot so I knew I had to jump and get some pics. Just a little sad is melted so soon before I could take more. :(

Watching that scene again, there is something off about that line. But when I first watched the movie, it was a line that really stuck with me. I have a huge crush on Scarlett, so she was awesome in my book!:p haha As for the Russian accent, I dismiss it with her whole super spy background. A spy with an accent is a big no, no.

Thanks! And yeah I noticed that afterwards. Face meet palm. haha I was actually worried about the dye staining the figure, if that is even possible with food dye???

Hey, thanks! I had fun setting it up. Love the snow, but only in the brief periods I get it.:thumbs

Yeah, I think she has an accent in the comics. And in the movieverse she's Russian, too. "Regimes fall every day. I tend not to weep over that, I'm Russian. Or I was."

I thought about it, but he's not a Marvel collector and he already went way out of his way to hook me up with this set; I didn't want to be too pushy.

salsa4datass 01-18-2013 06:59 PM

^ be pushy and get me a set!...

EDIT: He said he'd be willing to middle man for others. If anybody is interested I'll shoot you his user name on TFW, just lmk. This is the first time I've dealt with him, so if you do so, you do so at your own risk; I accept NO RESPONSIBILITY for anybody's transactions.

Well here's the deal; retail on these was $30aud, shipping was a flat $20aud based on weight (so loose/misb was the same). I mentioned something to him about middlmaning en mass for a couple of dollars, as long as he can keep the price under retail (I'm assuming 20-25 for his time, which is still under retail), and I'll see what he says... if anybody's interested that is.

I think it wouldn't be hard to find people that would pay enough for him to make a fast profit. I know I'd pay $30-40 shipped for one

I wouldn't think so. Considering it's designed to be mixed into food, I don't think it will have any effect on the plastic. But then again, I haven't ever used food coloring on toys before.

Deadops 01-19-2013 07:35 AM

I FINALLY GOT STRETCH STRIKE VENOM WITH RHINO FOR £10 altogether and anti venom of ebay loose for £5. :) :) :) !
