I'm not an ML collector so I'm not sure what's uncommon and what's isn't but a Walgreens that isn't local but I'm always very close to every weekend because of work has quite a few Namor's and Taskmasters. I've seen the same batch of the two figures along with the rest of the Onslaught wave and they haven't budged so I'm assuming there aren't any collectors eyeing the spot. If anyone is looking for them I could pick them up exclusively for trading and what-not.

erastop 09-10-2016 08:57 PM

Awesome, congrats on holding off like you said on that Namor!

Same w/ me! I held off on Namor and Punisher and sure enough, a couple of my walgreens have about 8 Namors and one walgreens already has the Punisher but Im holding off on Punisher cuz I REALLY like the Toybiz one I have...

And here he is, with his face fixed, with a couple of his former Thunderbolts Teammates Frank and Flash.

I ran into the X wave at Wal-Mart tonight for the first time and while there was no Wolvie or DP in sight I decided to pick up Bobby and Jean on impulse. Iceman's frosty deco effect is very cool (tee hee) and his pose is great except I'm not sure if he's supposed to have thigh swivels or if mine are just frozen (double tee hee) stuck. Phoenix is painted phenomenally and has an awesome head sculpt but I feel like finding a lasting dynamic pose will be a bit troubling with her heels. My only con for both figures is that neither comes with any accessories whatsoever which is a shame.

Select res hulk was one of my first figure purchases, when i got into collecting. He's an excellent figure.

For anyone who is interested, uncannyxmen.net is about as deep a resource as you can find for X related comic history.

Mastersteef 09-11-2016 08:56 AM

Stopped by walmart for a couple things and after a month of furious hunting, saw not 1 or 2...but 5 CASES of Xmen Legends sitting unopened on a palette in the middle of the aisle.

sh002 09-11-2016 09:32 AM

All Marvel and DC comics action figures are 20% off at TRU until 9/17. The Dr. Strange wave is up and included in the sale.

Thanks man for the heads up. Had the 3 pack in my cart for a week trying to decide whether or not to pull trigger. Guess this was a sign. Lol.

The same body would work but Iceman's extra bits are jagged not swirly flamey. I could see copying where the effects are though, like Iceman is sort of a template for doing Human Torch. They'd have to change the feet because Iceman here has bare feet and Johnny is always wearing the team suit.

Yah. They could use the same head and just replace his crystals with flame effects and ya just slap on some booted feet and viola.....instant human torch. Id hope they would do one where hes in his new inhumans uniform.

Spyne98 09-11-2016 01:19 PM

I would rather get a Fantastic Four outfit before they give us the new Inhumans costume. I feel like a new updated Fantastic Four is a higher priority.

warmachine6 09-11-2016 02:25 PM

i would buy the hell out of a f4 wave with a new dr doom , i dont mind who the BAF will be , but 3 mcu movies next year got a lot to fill with other stuff

En Sabah Nerd 09-11-2016 03:53 PM

So of course today I go into a different Wal-Mart in my area and not only do I finally find Black Panther in one of those cardboard displays but also Deadpool and Wolverine since they just got out their fresh X wave case at this store. It was a nice surprise since I assumed that they would be more like my store but instead now my store feels very crummy in comparison.

The BAF could be Blastaar or maybe Ronan. Honestly I wish BAFs would go away and be replaced with a deluxe figure per wave that would have been the BAF. It would be like the difference between a deluxe transformer and a voyager transformer.

Im with ya on that. I mean itd be one thing if the bafs were worth a spit, but when even giant man is just slightly taller its time to hang up the bafs and give us a lotta good accessories like with Deadpool. The drop the price to 15 bucks make deluxes 20 or 21 and viola.

SymbiSpidey 09-11-2016 05:06 PM

They should really consider using that 12-inch line for bigger characters like Giant Man or Apocalypse.

The only BAF I've actually wanted recently is Onslaught but I don't want a single figure from that wave, though I wouldn't even need Taskmaster because I would definitely use the proper Onslaught head that comes with Kitty. From what I've seen Onslaught has yet to cool down on eBay, if anything Kitty coming with the proper head seems to have reignited the figure's value. At $80 I might as well cough up the extra cash and just have the entire wave as well, except paying $160 when I only want the BAF is ridiculous because there's no way I could move the figures themselves given how badly they all clog up my store pegs. I would value any given current BAF at around $30 as an actual toy and the only Onslaughts I see on eBay are at least twice that.

Onslaught! I would get a 12" Apocalypse too.
