Because as of 2013 the ones around here at least had nothing of the sort?

Gamestop bought Thinkgeek so a lot of stuff that was sold on Thinkgeek is being sold in Gamestop now including collectible toys, hell I even saw a Figma figure at one. I also recall reading that Gamestop will open a new chain of stores specifically for collectibles.

My local stores all have/get the Pops and legacy figures (some Game of Thrones but mostly Evolve, Fallout, and Skyrim).

Same at the Gamestop that I talked about in my last message except x10. They had Figma stuff, Japanese statues, Figuarts, in glass cases and what-not. I specified more in my last message.

Don't remember seeing any of this rise during 2013. Maybe late 2014 if I recall correctly. I rarely check out Gamestop at all anymore since I buy all of my stuff on Steam. In fact, the only reason I found out about the Gamestop I mentioned a few messages back with all the Japanese collectibles and what-not was because I had to buy a gift for my best friend.

For anyone looking for more of the DW figures for the kitbash or anything else you should also check out B&N.

What do these initialisms mean?

First 5 or 6 mins is the updated Marvel dio before I tear it all down to move...

Also wanted to add that it is funny to me that 10 people or less ever saw this in person, I wish more people could have taken it all in...*sheds single tear*

Ace set up dude, i've actually seen one of your dio on you tube before but didn't realise it was you.

Kamatayan 12-30-2015 07:40 AM

Yup. B&N = Barnes and Noble.

Anyone know what to do with my collection problem? I have a lot of the MU Giant Battles stuff and the MU Galactus and they're too big for my shelf so I've had to put my entire collection aside for the past few months. Really don't know what to do cause I've stopped buying MU stuff as much and it prohibits me from collecting stuff because it all just goes into a box until I find something to do about it. Of course, I still buy stuff, but still, it's getting frustrating.

Especially now that I got a TIE Fighter and the Millennium Falcon for my collection. My room is too small to add another shelf. Is there anyone that was in this situation before that can give me advice?

I was thinking about putting the wooden shelves on my wall but they might easily fall.

Depends on the installment of the shelves, I would think. I haven't personally tried this one, but you could try having a rotating display. Switch which figures are on the shelf every few months, you know? Just have the others packed away safely during that time.

Again, it is untested.

If you send me your Tie Fighter you will have some extra room. :D

No but seriously, I am in the same boat in a way. Underway of building a new house next year and fixing the one we're in currently. Lots of stuff in boxes and even going into storage to make room for remodeling. Right now I'm not displaying anything :( Hopefully the new house will have areas I can build shelves because I really want to display these and not have them just sitting in boxes of money I've spent

Just saw a 3.75 "Marvel Legends" Black Panther on ebay, don't recall seeing this on the SDCC presentation. Seems to be part of the Ulik/Ms Marvel wave...

I've NEVER seen that. Where the heck did this guy even manage to get him?

EDIT: I did a quick search online and I've found absolutely nothing. What's with this? Could it be fake?

EDIT #2: I just checked out this guys other items. He has a lot of EXTREMELY new stuff. But seriously, what's up with that BP?

En Sabah Nerd 12-31-2015 01:08 PM

If that Panther is truly representative of what Hasbro will release then I'm glad. It's been no secret that I really like the light-up base Black Panther and this one looks to be a solid black repaint which is fine. I like the blue highlights on the base one because they're metallic, unlike the individual release symbiote spidey where they used flat blue highlights that looked way off. With his upcoming appearance in Civil War I'm imagining more people will want Black Panther like how people (at least in my area) went nuts over the MI Daredevil (red not armored) because of the show.

Photoshop.

The martini glass and the beer mug were from Kidrobot Family Guy blind box figs.

I don't think those are real. Looks photoshopped in. We have been duped yet again by @mutantkind!

Awesome New Years pic! Maybe it's because I haven't been active on this thread as much, but I haven't seen your work in a while. It's still as awesome as ever!

Thanks @Kamatayan! I haven't been all that active recently either because the holidays are very busy in my professional life. I have some stuff I haven't posted that I'll probably put up tomorrow. Happy New Year!

Ninjinister 12-31-2015 01:48 PM

You guys weren't kiddin' about Gamestop and toys. Only thing they had that interested me though was an unmasked Arrow ReAction DeathStroke. Hate those figs but I keep buyin em.

Almost grabbed that Dr. Who girl for Nebula but gamn her head is tiny. Might just use the bald lady from Clone Wars.

I'm glad to see that he's getting a rerelease. I've loved the character since he was on the EMH cartoon(which is my favorite incarnation of the Avengers, btw), and his MU figures were always too expensive on Amazon and other places. Now, I can get him at retail price!
