You know there is a big following of my little pony right ?? While i don't know much about them. I recall owning maybe one toy of them as a kid, their comic currently from IDW is a popular thing... including many men buying it as well. Shocking i know. |
@Dark
Glad you liked it, B...thanks! |
hey i have a younger sister and she used to watch and have all that shit as a kid. i remember the care bears .."CARE BEAR STARE"..HAHA..and her My little pony toys..but she had cool stuff too.. she also had that Sega..the one that came out BEFORE the Genesis..Mater System i think it was.....we used to play Rocky on that thing...ahhh..the good ole days..
and to stay on topic since i went off.... i read enough...heard enough...and saw enough youtube reviews on the bootleg Marvel legends to think they are worth their cost....so i went on and ordered me a few too..First and foremost being Vision of course...i snagged 6 total... we'll see how long they take on the slow boat from China to get here. |

:eek: I had no idea you guys were so close. I will definitely have to check ya'll out sometime. I don't get down that way much but if there's a nexus of collectibles within a part of a day trip of me, I'm all for it. |

I put up a bunch of stuff in my sale list again. Hate to do it but has to be done. Hopefully some of this stuff can find a good home.

I wanted to revisit a rumor that popped up back in the late Spring, the Wolverine wave , with the BAF Silver Samurai. IIRC it had a list of figures but unlike the other rumored waves that have since proven to be true it did not have any kind of ID/DCPI/SKU numbers.
How many at this point feel that was nothing more than wishful thinking and that we won't see it? Please don't get me wrong I would LOVE for it to be confirmed eventually, but I'm now kind of guessing it was a false "leak". Interested in other people's thoughts. |
Hit a real surprise yesterday at TRU in my weekly hunt. The new Doctor Strange wave of ML!!
http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...psiq7frvhl.jpg I was low on funds and only picked up Nico, Iron Fist, and the movie Strange. I bought Enchantress, but returned her before I headed home for the day. I have the SDCC one and am in no hurry for her. I really only wanted Nico, but seeing the Iron Fist in person..... amazing job on the see thru hands and fire attachments. and the movie Strange looks great. I also really like how the Astral Strange is VERY pearlescent and ghostly and not just white like he looks in pics. http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...pswsund0md.jpg The same TRU had a full case of Xmen legends as well, so I got the last one I needed in Wolverine and a Deadpool for a friend. http://i1058.photobucket.com/albums/...psqsnnphnm.jpg |
Why are the girls the only ones to not have their names on the packaging? All of the males get their names in nice fonts and stuff, the girls just get MARVEL.

1 - The girls have "Marvel" on their packaging where there would otherwise be a title logo - note how MCU Strange/Mordo/Astral Strange have the film 'Doctor Strange' logo, Voodoo/Comics Strange have the comic 'Doctor Strange' logo, and Iron Fist has the 'Iron Fist' logo. Nico and Enchantress, if they followed suit, would have to have 'Runaways' and, probably, 'Thor' logos, which might have been deemed 'too confusing' or something like that, since neither Nico nor Enchantress are headliner characters in their own books (Voodoo is a regular in Strange's current comic, hence why he can share the logo with Strange) 2 - Nico and Enchantress both have the 'Mystic Rivals' denotation, just as Comics Strange and Voodoo both have the 'Masters of Magic' one. While I still can't say for certain why Hasbro does this, it seems to be some sort of 'cost-saving' measure, doing 'shared' boxes/releases like this (hell, the Absorbing Man and Red Onslaught waves were almost entirely 'shared' title waves, barring Venom for the former and Cap for the latter). One box that works for two figures must shave a few cents off somewhere along the line. I agree though, it's utter crap that this seems to happen mostly to female characters - either this, or the occasional 'double-up' on a particular BAF piece (the Rhino and UGG torsos, anyone?). There seems to be a bit more of an effort to change this in recent waves, but it's still a weird and kind of off-putting practice. |
I want that Iron Fist. The hands/extra hands look awesome.
|
Wow! Iron Fist looks awesome! Same with Nico. I'll need them for sure!

Since Hasbro seems to use certain characters as 'lynchpins' for their waves, which versions (costume, continuity, adaptation, etc) of the following characters would you guys like to see, if they have to be included in a given wave?
Spider-Man Captain America Iron Man Thor Wolverine Personally, I'd like to see the following versions: Spider-Man - Amazing Bag-Man in Fantastic Four costume (alternately, the Insulated Spider-Suit designed for fighting Electro) Captain America - The Captain (with alternate head for US Agent) Iron Man - Superior Iron Man (AKA Model 50/Endo-Sym Armor) Thor - That horrible 90s costume (or the costume he wore while fighting the God Pack, before the World Engine arc) Wolverine - Laura Wolverine (or, if we gotta have another Logan, maybe a civilian version in bomber jacket, with alternate 'Days of Future Past' grey-templed head) |
