Thanks 77, Louie, and Jason! The head is from Onyx, cape is Storm, all other parts are Iron Fist and some apoxie sculpt. I figured that we may never see this guy (we may not ever see Speedball either) and I used to love that character growing up. Obscure, I know :)

I found 3D had a negative effect on both Thor and Cap for me, made brilliant colors look dark and muddy.

I heard an interview with David Vonner where he explained how he tried so hard to get popular obscure characters into the line, but had such a hard time because he basically had to convince a room of executives who've never read a comic that a character they'd never even heard of would sell well. It put an interesting spin on my gripes with all the versions of the main characters who continue to come out.
