What building is that on the top left? It looks like Spawn Alley on the right (I could be wrong), but I can't place what the other is.

uberlad 01-22-2016 07:01 PM

Regardless, that's a badass dio set up.

because once again they are skipping on a 3¾ line
I miss the Iron Man 2, Thor 1, Captain America 1 lines.

Yeah that is Spawn Alley and the one on the left is the Police Academy headquarters.

Thanks! I've been on a bit of a play-set kick recently. It started with Castle Greyskull, then my kiddo found my stashed boxed (and subsequently unboxed )TMNT sewer play set, and then I found an affordable second hand Wayne Manor/Batcave. Now it seems like I have to track down that police academy set before my wife finally (justifiably) puts an end to my shenanigans.

ukmu 01-23-2016 01:55 AM

Check out the MU COMPATIBLE thread, all those and more are pictured.

ukmu 01-23-2016 02:04 AM

I'm not too bothered about getting skipped on the last few movies, it is all repackaged figures anyway. This though, looks promising! I think we'll get a 3.75 line this time after the unpredictable success of the first film.

I also like this thread over on HISS Tank for playsets
NON-G.I. Joe Play Sets That Rock! - HissTank.com

And I am working on a playset checklist where I use "playset" as a "species" for easier searching.

Was thinking about figures I wish we would get. I know these list are silly, but what 4 inch figures do you want now?
For me

1. Coulson - feel his time has passed and he's not very likely, but I really like him
2. Agent Venom - same as Coulson. If we get a modern MU Venom it will be Space Knight. I'd even would have been happy with a 5 POA Cartoon figure but those have shifted to 6 inch
3 Spider Gwen
4. Female Wolverine
5 Old Man Logan Mass Retail
6. Dracula (that Quasar silhouette made me want one)
7. Blue Marvel
8. Any Netflix versions (highly doubtful)
9. Squirrel Girl
10 Modern Ms Marvel

Who do you guys want?

I had hoped 2.5 was dead after the product shelf rots around here, but there's more for Civil War. I'm hoping they just don't do 2.5 for GotG 2, again.

Kernel 01-23-2016 11:04 AM

^Yeah I stopped by Ross last night and they had a bunch of those 2.5" figures. Mainly the riding lawn mower ones.

I'd take all of those for sure.
I would also like Gamora (shown in 2014? should be here in 2018), night thrasher, kingpin, the jackal (clone saga 2 pack?), tarantula, carrion (or any spidey villians), stryfe, sauron, kazaar, sasquatcch, wendigo, any symbiotes, any zombies, doppleganger, shriek, Tigra, Mantis, Moondragon, Ronan, Malekith, domino, Death's Head II and some of the legends stuff looks pretty cool like udon taskmaster and cap wolf. I also wouldn't mind competing the squadron supreme but I'm not sure how well Dr. Spectrum, power princess and whizzer would sell. Heck throw in a Dr. Bong while we are at it.
I love how we've gotten some obscure characters in this line, but if you really think about it there are a TON of characters that have never been made, and a ton of costume variations that Hasbro could easily keep this line going forever.

You covered most of what I want. The X-23 wolverine I want three versions of. Coat no mask, no mask, and with mask. Plus her sisters too!

As for Agent Venom. He's more likely than you think. Due to his still being in the cartoons, and likely an eventual MCU appearance, Agent Venom is on the slate of eventually. I want the space knight venom too though. So a "Heroes evolve" type two pack would rock. Or even a comic pack that has one of the GOTG issues that builds to the transition could rock.

I also want Menace from Agent Venom's Remender comic run.
And New X-Men Rockslide, Surge, Mercury, Anole, and Prodigy. All 4 slingers would rock too. Ricochet, Prodigy, Dusk, and Hornet. An updated DarkHawk would rock too. The new Blade and an updated figure for her father would rock too. I want both outfits of hers. The white outfit and the black outfit.

Overall, eventually I want the full marvel library covered, especially these two decades of them starting at about 2002 on up with a heavy reliance on Marvel Now! and All-New Marvel.

Great choices. I really like the current Nighthawk in the new Squadron Supreme. I think he'd make a great action figure. I'd also love a Toxin that is a new sculpt and not a repainted Spider Man Venom. Ronan is a favorite of mine that I forgot. All three of those would make me happy.

ukmu 01-23-2016 01:04 PM

They are pushing that silly 2.5" line just to make playset NOT in our scale. Bastards!

Coulson
Moondragon
Hellcat
Jocasta
Kingpin
Squirrel Girl
Gold Ultron

more Guardians would be welcome.

yes all of these are good choices. tho not super bothered on a Dracula and didn't we already get a Coulson? Could be wrong. I'd prefer a AoS Quake to Coulson tho.

Madame Warlock 01-23-2016 01:46 PM

Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel (pack in with Lockjaw?)
Faizah Hussain Excalibur
America Chavez(I just made my own custom one, but she should still get a figure)
Spectrum
Blue Marvel
Bug
Mantis
Moondragon/Phyla Vell lesbian space adventures 2 pack
More Spider-verse figs - Silk, Spider-man India, Spider-ham etc.
Agent Venom
Pixie
Magik
Surge
Mercury
Dust(would have to come with cool accessories to make it worthwhile though and we don't get those in the smaller scales :/)
Karma(w/ robot leg)
Banshee & Siryn
Forge
Warlock
Dani Moonstar
Wolfsbane
Quinten Quire/Kid Omega(if there was so gimmick where he could have interchangable shirt slogans that'd be amazing, but again, 6" territory :( )
Meggan(pref. the Captain Britain and MI13 version - figures from that in general would be great)
Modern Storm
Cyclops(Rightclops vers.)
Modern Magneto
Modern Iceman
Modern Bishop(maybe, the one we have is ridiculously tall)
Sebastian Shaw
Modern Hawkeye(Hawkguy)/Kate Bishop 2 pack
Runaways boxset
MCU Vision
Mr. Fixit Hulk
Badass Metal Arm Unworthy Shirtless Thor
Wiccan & Hulkling & the other Young Avengers

sorry got carried away lol

They desperately need to make figures of the X kids. Problem is they've sidelined X stuff too much since House of M that nobody really cares about them. They really need to relaunch them in a good way, they're great characters that never got a fair chance since they had to deal with constant tragedy.

Damn she looks great. Shame about the lack of waist articulation but sh'es not really one of the ones that needs it. Wanda's face looks so derpy.

Madame Warlock 01-23-2016 01:54 PM

I like the new Steve design and will probably buy a fig of it. It's a breath of fresh air, I've gotten tired of both the 616 and MCU Captain America designs. I don't like when everything stays the same forever. It'd suck if Carol was still stuck in her original costume and Beast was just some dude with big feet.

Madame Warlock 01-23-2016 03:12 PM

Anyone know if there'll be toys for Ultron Revolution? I know they'll be 5PoA but I'm 100% fine with getting a 5PoA Kamala Khan over nothing

ukmu 01-23-2016 03:52 PM

Great list MW, lots of good stuff. I always forget who I want on the spot. I actually have a list written down. I just want something that gets me excited again. It seems recently, with each release I have no feeling one way or another. Used to be I HAD to have certain ones. Now I'm like, if it comes it comes.

I am having fun building a reputable First Order army for my sons room. 5 POA but what can you do? I had loads of fun with Star Wars five POA when I was his age so it is more than fine. At least we are excited over them. There is SOME stuff current and upcoming that has my interest for sure. With Toy Fair just a few weeks out the tide should change.

Madame Warlock 01-23-2016 04:14 PM

i have some of the 5 PoA stuff. Some of it's pretty okay, but it does take getting used to.

Autobot_Goldbug 01-23-2016 05:39 PM

your lists are missing Sharon Carter Agent 13

Another favorite. While I'd love a new sculpt, Movie Widow cast in white with an Invisible Woman or Shana head and boom. Maybe toss on the Red She Hulk belt.

Great lists. Don't get me too excited about Agent Venom. LOL. He's one of my favorite characters. I'd love the X-23 sisters too, but man that's be a stretch! :)

I agree it's time to bring the X-characters back. The figures don't really line Fox's pockets do they? It'd be a stretch to say that.

Time Lost X-men
Kid Omega
New Sculpted Magneto
X masked Cyclops
Fantomex
Domino
New Sinister
X-23 Wolverine
Newer Young x-men everyone has listed
So much Action figure goodness

I have no real connection to that Troll, but man he looks awesome. Captain Marvel is great I just got her as well.
