Love that Deathbird, Oscar!!

And Pilk, great selection as always, sir!!

Jay West 01-30-2016 06:42 PM

Oscars, welcome great use of customs and other lines as supplements. Thunderbolt Ross is inspired. Quick question what is your Agent X recipe and who is the character using the Spider Man line Doc Ock head? Thanks!

Who's the crazy looking bastard in the silver proff x chair??

Oscarv 01-30-2016 07:39 PM

I can't take much credit for Deathbird, I only got the parts together and did a bit of painting, the rest was all my girlfriends handy paint work.

Ross was a mega easy one, just painted a gi joe figures hair and moustache ;)

Agent X recipe;
Nick fury/winter soldier body
Gi joe renegades ripcord Head and goggles
Couple of random guns from the fodder box
Lots of paint/time/effort

Doc ock head custom is Jack Dio (underworld)

"the crazy looking bastard in the silver proff x chair" is none other than Montgomery Burns (one of Deadpools unfortunate pals, of LL&L)

I reckon a bit of gold paint on his hat just helps to finish the look:

Nice... Most from MUCC are here anyway in one form or another. Some same, some lurk some under different names. Even the resident super mod pops in with pics from time to time.
I just don't have time for both. Here just suits me. I need to pop in over there and say hello more though.

I have been seeing the MLS popping up at Wal-Mart for people in the states. Perhaps that is great news as the line might become more retail friendly again. The empty shelves and pegs from Star Wars Force Awakens might help regenerate the consumer 3.75" craze. I hope so, as a 3.75" collector and a Hasbro business follower I hope for the change. The focus shift toward 6" has failed. In the sense that it took some away from one to another and brought in only a few from outside. If they carry on with that it is damaging as we've all witnessed.

However if they shift back to 3.75" more consumer buy, more collectors are happy and the same crowd can follow both scales. Of coarse. I'm biased toward one scale but I think everyone wins if they keep making 6" Marvel and keep them available everywhere but then jump in and really give the 3.75" the proper push, it can be plesent for both. Go back to how it was. Stop doing movie line crap figures, integrate the MCU into the regular line and up the articulation. Don't make less figures by dropping a dedicated movie lines- make more by adding them in. That way they don't end up at discount stores.

Why not have cartoon figures and movie figurers and modern era current figures and classic golden and silver age figures all together? Maybe a few in each wave??

ukmu 01-31-2016 02:03 AM

I just think a Spidey wave or an Avengers wave or X-Men wave or classic wave or Guardians wave or any wave with a theme isn't the way to go. Three or more lines isnt the way to go. Integration into one.

OfficialHegarty 01-31-2016 02:49 AM

Oscarv nice to see you joined "Marvel UniverseUk" these pictures are much clear the ones on the email were really blurry for some reason you have just made me add like 10 more figures I want :( I was nearly at the finish line

This is one of them posts I wish there was a function like twitter where you just quickly give a like instead of me having to reply and say well said man, only because its early and I'm lazy for typing this early in the morning, ha

Oh and great collection Oscarv, I keep thinking in the past year since I started collecting I've got a decent collection of about 100 figures (and counting), but then you come along and show yours and its like Im way behind. There is one thing though where mine will differ, I do want my collection to grow but I'm defo not into collection multiples of the same character like all the different Iron Men, I'm happy with the best version of each character for my collection. My next big expense is a display cabinet, figure bench stands and I need aload of the little round figure stands. Great to see collections like this though

With a second Guardians movie scheduled, at least 3 Inhumans left to do, and plenty of Kree, I think there is more than enough selection to do another 3 figure box set. For this the figures don't matter so much, but it would be nice if the liner art inside was the Supreme Intelligence on his screen. That would be like getting an extra figure free.

Right. That sort of thing just MIX them. Stop having lines that may fail. I mean you can have something with the first Thor film and Guardians 2 in the same wave. All side a new current character say Shevolerine and a cartoon version of Venom and a classic giant footed Beast or something. I'm over "themes" of waves and branding.

And yeah, ToyArk is much more international. And we proud few UK'ers have our own little corner. So God bless the Queen. I wonder if there is a mankini meme for that????

Pilkster 01-31-2016 06:26 AM

Rule Britania, Britania rule the waves!!!!! lmao

I'm hoping now that 4 inch is Legends it can start to follow the 6 model and just dump all figures into the line. I think that is beginning with Civil War. The 4 inch Cap and Falcon are Legends and maybe looking back Ant Man was the first 4 inch Legends figure. I like the silly little method of giving us the truly obscure with the 4 inch line, but tying them closer to the films would be great. I'd love a Civil War themed wave with the two figures we are getting and then a few comic Cap world figures.

I think Hasbro would be silly not to toss at least one MCU figure into each wave. Kingpin, Coulson, Daisy Johnshon, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Peggy Carter etc. They probably couldn't support a wave, could easily fill a spot.
