Nice. After how cool he was in Asylum and how he wasn't in City or Origins I'm glad to see him as the main baddie in Knight. He's definitely one of my favorites but my #1 Batman villain is and probably always will be Two-Face. I hope if they do an Arkham Origins 2 (how the hell would they even name that?) that they'll do the downfall of Harvey Dent.

Two-Face is also a favorite of mine. He's such a great tragedy character and I freaking love most of his animated series episodes. I hope he gets way more screen-time in Knight than he did in City, he was very under-used. A new figure of him based on Knight would be appreciated as I was disappointed with the City Two-Face toy, his recent animated figure is a sheer joy though.

Definitely agree. He was pretty much wasted in Arkham City.

And I still don't get why Harvey wasn't featured at all in Origins unless they were saving him for Origins 2.

The rest of the Stunticons arrived a few days early, courtesy of HTS, and honestly, I feel that a lot of the reviewers out there on Youtube and various sites kinda stretched on how great the new combiners were. Honestly, once assembled into the gesalt mode, they are not much fun at all. Things constantly unpeg, the combined robots themselves are a bit unsteady, hands and feet don't peg or rest properly and fall off easily, and the "armor" bots (in this case Black Jack) don't peg on very well and fall off at the slightest touch. The same thing happens just simply moving limbs...the combiners just kinda fall apart in your hands.

I really love the bots as individuals, and Hasbro had done some great strides with the Generations line, especially the revamped clamshell packaging (the new comic books were bad ass as well, especially the bios on the back,) but as far as actual combiners go...they still have a bit to learn.

Still...Menasor does look a lot better in person than he does in photos, so at least that allowed me to feel a little less buyers guilt. Here's Menasor (with Black Jack) alongside Bruticus (with Boosticus upgrade kit...)

In addition, these also arrived in the mail today courtesy of a nice fellow on Ebay...

The disappointment felt in Menasor has suddenly dissipated.. :D

Who is off-Road? He doesn't look anything like Wildrider.

Basically, they're introducing a new character for each combiner team. Instead of Wildrider, you get Offroad for the Stunticons. Instead of Slingshot, you get Alpha Bravo for Superion (but Slingshot/Quickslinger will be coming in a later wave, YAY! While I like Alpha Bravo, but he'll never be a part of the Aerialbots, he's a helicopter! He can never keep up to the team! Slingshot - a Harrier jet, had trouble keeping up as he was!) For Defensor (Protectobots), they're introducing Rook, while Groove will become chest armor.

That Boosticus kit makes a whole world of difference for Bruticus. Too bad it's so expensive!

The bio on the back of Off Road's comic hints that Wildrider was killed in a battle, and Off Road was picked to be his successor by Motormaster due to his confidence and his fighting skills. Off Road then takes the color scheme of Wildrider, but whether or not it's in tribute or in mockery is unknown to anyone except him.

I thought about getting the voyager class (Not)Onslaught from Microblaze creations, but they never made in in the FOC color scheme, and after seeing it at a recent toy show, I honestly wasn't all that impressed with it. It was nice and bulky sure, but the transformation was awkward and the figure felt cheap in my hands, definetely not worth 120 bucks. While the Boosticus kit is not perfect by any means, (it can be tricky getting some pieces on and I had a few moments where I was fearful I was going to break them) it does a good job for a fraction of the cost, greatly enhances the size and stability, and more importantly, there are versions for every version of Bruticus out there, from the FOC to G2 scheme. Plus, the transport vehicle it creates when not in combiner mode is kinda neat.

I actually prefer the look of the Hasbro Menasor over the 3P version. I know someone who has the 3P Bruticus, and honestly, it looked wimpy and dull next to the FOC version with the Boosticus kit. I felt the same about the 3P Menasor. The Hasbro one is truly a beast, and is bright and colorful, just like Transformers used to be. I just wish that it held together a little better, especially the armor bots like Blackjack, and if the pegs on Motormaster were just a little larger and pegged tighter, the whole thing would hold up better. Thankfully I had ordered nearly all of the Stunticons when HTS had their 25% off plus free shipping sale, and was able to build this monster at a fraction of the price, lessening the sting.

The most frustrating thing though, is that I watched and read several reviews from different reviewers including Shartimus Prime, Optibotimus, and Emgo, and yet none of them mentioned the stability problems Menasor had, and all applauded that despite his wierd look, he was an excellent figure. Being that many of these youtubers do get their stuff direct to review, it's caused me to question their integrity a bit, wondering if they are loving a product because they truly love it, or loving it because they dare not draw the ire of Hasbro and lose out on a sponsership and/or free stuff.

That's enough complaining though. All in all, I still am happy to have the big guy, but I wish I could have been happier. Oh well.

Just wanted to share some shots I took of the two Hot Toys I received yesterday. I'm so happy to finally have these guys!

I'm all caught up on this toy line but I won't post pics of the older waves because you've all seen them many time by now I'm sure.

All were found @ either Walmart, Target or ToysRus (including Thano's wave just this morning @ ToysRus. Found 2 complete, my figures are MOC but since I opened my son's, I'll post pics of his).

BTW, ToysRus and Target had buy one get one for 40% off on all Avengers stuff so I saved a buck... Lol

Is Spidey 2099 a figure that I can find at stores now?

PROVOST 04-10-2015 08:38 PM

Really sad that AoU is not 3.75" scale with good articulation.

snake5289 04-10-2015 08:38 PM

Except for the few two-packs exclusive to Toys R Us and all they are is some repacks and repaints. That said I'd really like to find the Iron Man/Fury pack. I like the IM figure and I'm gonna turn that Fury into Blade if it kills me.

The new ML figure? I've seen it a couple of times.

Got this guy from Amazon today. He may have awkward leg joints and green on the torso that doesn't quite match that of the arms and head but I think it's a great figure. Love that headsculpt! Here's some "fun" shots I took of him with his predecessor from the 2008 movie.
