Unfortunately, that kind of packaging runs counter to Hasbro's statements a couple years ago about heading in a more 'green' direction as far as their packaging. The window-box package uses less 'heavy' materials and is easier to recycle than the older clamshells. Also, I imagine it's a bit cheaper to manufacture, and they're all about saving that money.

And for this, you are BANISHED!

Though I would love to take credit I can't, the base is Hellcat, so very minimal yellow paint

If you do recall, we did spider gwen and space venom thus far. Idk dude.

Did we get Spider-Gwen? I don't know, I've never seen one ;)

We've gotten or are getting like three or four of them as the comic variant presents them but there's like 20+ of these variants. I also can't really count Space Venom because it was the BAF and not an individual.

Because we hold ourselves to a higher standard of basic human decency.

Well that and it screws us as collector cause until those repacks sell they take wont order new thus taking longer for new waves to get ordered or they clearance legends and order lots less. Plus like bb said...its just a crap thing to do.

How they sell what amounts to broken/incomplete/partially stolen goods, is beyond me. They should be considered "shrink/theft" and chalked up as a loss...I understand that the items may still have value to bargain hunters, but it's like Best Buy selling a flatscreen without a remote, or a PC tower minus a monitor/keyboard (I know these examples are disproportionate...buuuut...)

Best Buy is a bad example as it's a place with a system set up for selling electronics that may be missing parts or are incomplete, so they probably would sell that TV or the PC tower by themselves.

Wal-Mart is more of "it's a cheap toy, as long as it comes with a figure and a leg we can still sell it" kind of place.

I did not know that about Best Buy...weird how big box stores are resembling pawnshops more everyday.

Nice! I like the Eye of Agamotto sawg! heh...I said "swag"...I'm cool now...is that a fridge magnet?

Maybe they are real. I'm watching this latest batch and may move on one, but I was hoping LordBest might get his and give us the low down before scooping one up...

The Wakandan flag is a patch and the Eye is a pin. Both are really nice and the pin has a nice weight to it. Definitely not a cheap freebie.

Couple more Carol pics:

This is a special shout-out to all the FUCKS out there who hide action figures in the stores. If you can't afford something at that point in time, and don't feel like using lay-away, leave the product for people that can afford it.

I know this occurs at many stores. But today (there's much more to this story but I'll stick to just this portion of it for now) I'm in Walmart. A Walmart that seems to NEVER have shit, but you KNOW they had it at one point because you'll see a straggler figure from the wave here and there. I pick up this Star Wars figure (whatever the new droids name is) and am reading the back of it..
I get what i call "product paranoia", meaning...I haven't yet reached the Legends section because I stopped to look at something else. ..and i see someone else in the aisle that MIGHT be looking for Legends as well...so I hurry over to the Legends section JUST IN CASE there was something new there and that person was looking for it. <SIDE NOTE>: he didn't really "look like" your average collector...but then again I'm fairly certain I don't either.
When i start walking to the Legends the dude says "..are you looking for <insert new star wars Black Series figure's name here>.". I say ..nah..i was just reading up on this droid. He sees me looking through the Legends and says..."There were some Falcon's and Winter soldiers, but I hid them for later..He then tells me about some other guy he knows that hid other figures..and how he saw Deadpool and Wolverine and hid them and ..blah blah blah....you get the point. In my mind I'm like...WTF..that's why i can't ever find shit here because these damn dingle-berrys hide shit all over all the time. The same store a couple months back I saw a guy looking through the shelves up top and he told me he had hid some Legends but when he went back they were gone....
*sigh*....
to me..this is almost as bad as scalper tales...and annoying as fuck. Another reason why ordering online is the easiest route for me.

Seems a little odd making a character like that. I guess we'd have to see the product finished prior to making that decision. Definitely stoked about cosmic spidey and moon knight!

En Sabah Nerd 10-04-2016 05:32 PM

Re: people hiding things for later; I really love when I move a lot of stuff around and look in the hard to reach places and find something that was clearly hidden and then I buy it so I know I've defeated whoever went out of their way to hide it for themselves. This has only happened a few times but each time it was something rare/demanded at the time so I felt rather triumphant over those easter-egg-hiding scum.

Also the Dr Strange wave is in stock at TRU online last I checked so if anybody wants to get them from there you can give it a look.
