So on another website, they did the announce on these new movie-line figures. I guess this is what monopolies do when you're Disney's finger. You can literally ignore all your consumers and continue to heap out entire new molds of 5 POA; while giving your attention and love to the 6" Legends. This is another slap to the face to all who collect 3.75. When I was a "kid" since this argument will no doubt be used to justify the deduction to do 5 POA; I played with Gi Joes and He man. I preferred the GI Joes because OF THE ARTICULATION. I never banged my toys together, I played out a whole story in my head while playing. So anyway, nothing new it seems for the direction of the movie line figures but south. Oh and the 2.5 have high quality paints now. So much money being spent to make all this; but we can't get the standard MU articulation?
Now the 2 figures out of the whole civil war period worth noting and picking up are the motorcycle cap and the falcon with the detachable wings. Those look solid and have the quality we yearn for. Someone noted that it probably shares the same articualtion as the Movie Antman. If they did the whole cast in molds like that, we wouldn't be scoffing so much. I am personally tired of the total disregard to fans when they know what we want. We want awesome figures to awesome movies! Why settle for these McDonald toys when your collectors want quality for the price we pay? |

While there may be a light at the end of the tunnel for a movie in the future; Legends get every movie line figure, the same quality as the rest of the Legends brand (6in). I love the comic series, the civil war was a pivotal moment in marvel comics. Just sad to see another opportunity wasted again by Hasbro because _______ excuse. The bias is real and what a shame another company can't have the liscense to make these figures for the mass market consumer, creating competition to blow these bad ideas off the drawing table. This is not free enterprise, this is just cornering the market to their image.

I got my Captain Marvel in the mail over the weekend. I guess I wasn't paying attention to any of the pictures or I'd know this, but I'm kind of surprised she doesn't come with a swap helmet head. I mean I like the figure it just seems like it would be a no brainer.

Good point Universe.....
And Cap'n instead of including a head they are offering another figure. The masked version is in the Kree two pack. Perhaps we will know in a few weeks when the release date is. ToyFair NYC is right around the corner. I told my wife that Valentines weekend is one of the highlights of my year. She said,"oh UKMU you're so romantic, to put the lovers holiday as such a priority."...Lovers weekend?? I was talking 'bout ToyFair lady!" I stand by it, but it is a little cold at night downstairs on the couch. |
I really, really wish that Captains Marvel pack was either two Kree soldiers (one pink skin, one blue) or that they would just sell that figure individually.
The desire to troop-build Kree soldiers is strong with this one. |

Stumbled upon lots of the new Marvel Legends 3.75" figures in my local Asda today, including the Civil War Cap with motorcycle. I wouldn't say this is a brilliant figure but with all the articulation it has, it's a lot of fun and definitely superior to the AOU one. He doesn't have any wrist joints unfortunately but he does have a waist joint under the belt.

There are a couple other minor ancillary shelves around the rest of the room, but this is my central figure display if anybody was curious as to what the whole monster looked like...

DREWLLLLLLLL!!!!! AMAZING collection!! everything just looks spot on!! |
Hmm, may have to check asda again tomorrow then!
Excellent collection and set up there ursamagnus. Yep, that's probably the best thing to do with this 2.5" nonsense ;) |
Is there going to be an Ant-Man figure for that 2" line? It would be a good small Scott Lang that would be just a little bit taller than the really small one.

They had the new Cap bike at my ASDA didn't get it though. No 2.5" stuff yet though, not that I'm looking-just found it odd.
Good call Kam about a 2.5" Scott Lang. Ursa, I'm your biggest fan! Even love your Eric figure on the wall!! |
