Been a completest since the beginning, only missing the Sinister pack& Victor von doom.
Well, unless you count Crimson dynamo, that Green dude from Iron man, MODOK from ML,FFF from ML.... Think thats it?
Im missing those also...

Accidently added you in that quote. But, since you replied, once you really start going through those off-shoot MU lines, you realize you need more than you thought. I don't consider myself a full completist, but definetly buying way more than originally intended. For me, it was about X-Men, Iron Man, a Spidey, FF, and that was it. Now I get every one that comes out!! However, since older figures are getting new bucks, I'm not compelled to buy, say 1st years Punishers, Daredevil, Bullseye. I prefer IM2 over MU Iron Man.

DogFashionDisco 05-02-2012 03:26 PM

Someone recently asked me if they could buy the head of one of my figures. Wtf?

..and besides, I'm used to getting 17 pm's here from strangers asking me if I'll sell them the toys I just bought and posted in the "look what you just got thread" anyway.

Same here. I grew up being more exposed to X-Men and Spiderman growing up. Either through the jim lee x men cartoon, 90s spiderman cartoon, video games, etc. Although the arcade game captain america and the avengers was the shIt too. After the avengers movie release, a lot more ppl will jump on the avengers fan wagon.

MU also has exposed me to more characters as well. There have also been times when I could care less about a mu figure that was released and then find out more about that character after reading a comic and then regretting not picking him/her up.

Funny how we are all about this new captain america remolded figure to keep us going until Hasbro releases the new waves. Way to play the kansas city shuffle card on us hasbro.

Nor am I a completist, just only certain things such as all flier's, females and etc. :p but I'm with you there on not really caring about getting a new mold, different costume yes:p

The coupons is what helped me get those, now if they would only come out with this month's coupons ;)

Really kind of surprise actually, since they're kind of new still. I know certain ones do...but I've checked Evilbay and they seem to be at retail value, unless you mean down the road 10 years or so...

bmorr 05-02-2012 04:15 PM

the classics are worth a ton. WFC megs is getting up there in value along with soundwave. TF collectors get hit in the wallet just as bad bad as SW collectors.

SoundWave88 05-02-2012 04:23 PM

Naw man, Classics and Universe are crazy priced. A lot of Generations are going for about double. Granted u can find some at Ross/TJ Maxx/Marshall's/etc., they are worth money, but great figures to begin with. And, just my opinion, CHUGS are hot, hot, hot. Transformers and MU are going hard right now. After the drought, BOTH lines will be comming with it!!!

Iceman 05-02-2012 04:26 PM

I appreciate finally finding a classic Lizard.

Called out, just trying to 'save' an Arker. Sorry to stray...I forgot to post this the other day. I have WW2 cap, and my problem isn't the waist, but his left foot. Someone else uses those same legs, forgot who ATM. Same problem.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, those wings are tiny, but love that they are swappable. X-Force 'Fall of the MUTANTS'!

Like those guns on Blackwidow. Mine has these big Desert Eagle type ones from the GI Joe Resolute 7 pack but they're too big. Any recommendations?

If you don't feel comfortable naming the Arker, let us know what figure it was. I'd like to trade for some heads. Anyone need some TRU BW heads?

Jason Abbadon 05-02-2012 06:17 PM

I might- whatya looking for?

Thanks, those were from Crossbones Capt. America 2 pack, and they are too big too :-(

Edit: Well, the right hand seems to fit, left wont, but at the right angle looks good. I even cut the trigger finger out.

Heroclix Ziran the Tester colossal fig. 0 articulation. He will look quite handsome next to Galactus...Though the Celestials are 2000 feet tall.

anytime my dude!! dio gonna look sick with the rest of your stuff!

DogFashionDisco 05-02-2012 06:55 PM

They asked for the head of one of my Sideshow figures, it was really weird but I've grown to expect people to ask me for strange shit. Why wouldn't they take into consideration that I'd be stuck with a headless figure? Rude....
