You could use the $90 from that on a lot of better stuff imo. |

no comic packs? |
If the 2 packs are TRU exclusives, I wonder what the case break down will be? For GI Joe, they short packed Gung Ho. It took me almost six months of looking before I found one--two weeks before the line got clearanced. Collectors would grab the short packed fig and leave the rest to rot. Tru doesn't reorder because the peg warmers aren't moving....then the line gets clearanced and the people who would willingly give Tru cash don't have the option.
Just say no to short packing exclusives, Geoffery. |
NO THEY ARE NOT TRU EXCLUSIVES!!!!!
How else can I get you guys to stop worrying? picture from a Meijer store... http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...A95638593C.jpg for some reason my Meijer has them at the very top way out of the reach of kids |

Thought id share a little love for the Wrecking Crew, well chuffed for picking this set up for a decent price courtesy of Pilkster, wanted these since I started collecting this time last year, great set to go with their origin story comics which I've had a few years. |
It's nice to have the whole set together. Only wrecker was single card, the rest were in 2 packs and hard to track down. But well worth it.
So, had to go to 3 different asda's, but finally managed to nab this fellow. I love the paint job, nice clean lines and cool colours. The blue stands out a bit from the rest of my figures, which is cool. Articulation is AWFUL though, no waist, wrist, rocker ankles! Shame. Dude is supposed to be a trained hunter/tracker right? I'm saddened that Hasbro thinks it's acceptable to realease a figure with articulation as poor as this in the same wave as spidey noir, who had the most articulation we have ever seen on an MU figure! (Apart from cat beast) silly naughty Hasbro. On a side note, I am VERY happy about the distribution of these past few waves. All have been readily available at local(ish) supermarkets. I think that's fantastic and I hope they keep it up. http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...psexjmkcvy.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...psezzvgj2t.jpg |
It is nice to find these in stores now Oscar. Even Wal-Mart is carrying them in the States.
I understand the articulation comment, I do. But when you said he is a skilled hunter and tracker- my mind immediately went to Daryl Dixon and I have never seen him do anything that the Yondu articulation can't do. I'm not siding with Hasbro I'm just slowly beginning to accept them as they are. Not as what they could be. Anyway.... Yondu is who i am looking for the most as well. |

When I think hunter, I think stealth, creeping in the shadows, stalking the prey. Crouching down, hiding. This dude couldn't get into that position.
I'm with you on the acceptance part by the way. I basically buy them, rip them open, have a good close look at them, see what poses I can get them in, find the most dynamic/action one I can, then lock them in the cabinets. I'm dealing with the reduced articulation, but I would prefer not to. If it's a new character, it gets added to the collection. If it looks cool and fits in somewhere, and I don't already have it, then it gets purchased and loved as much as the next one. Points in case; 5POA; http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...psvyreiayn.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...psderhdxim.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps2nte62xq.jpg And the record breaking 2POA figure i own http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...psbinf9uou.jpg Just to drive the point home, more articulation = cooler poses = more possibilities; http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...psecevjpr2.jpg Don't even like the costume, much prefer the 'classic' look, however, I LOVE this figure purely due to the variety of options of displaying him. Amazing (excuse the pun) Spiderman figure. |
