Steel was an easy preorder. In regards to the bump in price, I thought EE still had him at the regular $19.99. A quick check on EE confirmed, and if I add at least 1 figure to the order putting the total over $39.00 they had a code (Holiday39) for free shipping. Don't know how long that code will last. A lot of retailers bumped him up. I've bought more than my share of McToys for less than $20, so it doesn't bother me as much. I just bought Supergirl and Waverider (both brand new) for less than $20 each (including tax).

Same. My McFarlane figures filled up my large box already and they were all from this year! It’s so bad that I dont have shelf space for the rest of my McFarlane figs. Yeah, his figures started to get really good when he put out purple Catwoman, Arkham Riddler, Mister Freeze, and Kingdom Come Batman. That was at the beginning of this year, right? It has been a good year for McFarlane for sure!

I agree! Yeah just this year. Crazy.

I opened Sinestro last night. He's got super deep shoulder range and the thighs can actually rotate outward at the hip. That's McFarlane's newest buck so I hope the articulation range revision makes it onto all new figures.

Oh, did they finally start shaving those butts down? I've gotten used to doing it myself, but I'm always down for less modding. It sure took them a long time to figure out what the problem was there.

Questions start at 52:20

Highlights:
Someone asked about the Batman Forever Batmobile, Todd says they will get around to the other Batmobiles.

Someone asked for Rorschach and Question he went on a tangent about something he is working on and he said guys in trench coats aren't sexy when trying to get people to buy stuff though he thinks the characters are cool

89 Batwing Maybe

Punchline figure Todd say lips are sealed good vegas odds

Raine24 11-28-2023 08:41 PM

I literally just sat down to watch that. Now I'm even more excited.:D

Well, I just noticed the legs are Kyle Raynor legs. So I guess it was an isolated reprieve. (Sorry. I don't have Kyle so never noticed)

The issue, as I'm sure you know, is that the inside area of the "butt cheeks" sit flush against the vertical bracket that holds the pelvic joint. So, I always have to carve out like 1/4" of legbutt. If Todd would start giving us a cut thigh joint like the DKR Bats and Flash Batfleck figures it would be a total game changer. Can you even imagine?

I did a little work to my Knightfall Bats. Just a bit of detail work but happy with how the head came out

This is the best Superman figure Todd has ever done

Cobra1 11-29-2023 11:13 AM

Oooh. That waist piece. Superman Retuns incoming?!

VashTS 11-29-2023 11:32 AM

Waist belt is like why, but best Supes yet... just come on, just give the classic trunks.

The waist is wrong.

Comedian 11-29-2023 11:32 AM

Superman looks perfect for my superpowers collection.

News of all film Batmobiles most likely happening…….I’m gonna need a bigger boat.

firmpulse 11-29-2023 11:49 AM

That Supes looks incredible.

Without a doubt

Black Arbor 11-29-2023 12:17 PM

Beyond the trunks, I love this Superman! Anyone know if the AC1000/ Hush Superman’s trunks can fit on the Page Punchers body and not look ridiculous?

User897 11-29-2023 01:42 PM

I wonder if this Superman figure will have extra hands? I'd sure like to have a matching fist for my black suit Cavill figure.

Jeddostotle7 11-29-2023 01:49 PM

Holy Jesus, he actually did it. Only took him like, 15 tries.

Yuuup, shave the cheek and increase the rotation.

Not trying to be a hater. And I'm glad most people are stoked. But this has been my problem with this line in general. I genuinely want to buy things from this.

But how do you get so close to this "classic" look or a bunch of their other output and just not nail the last details? Do the right belt and trunks. This is literally the best time to be a toy collector. I don't need to settle for this because it's close enough or because it's the best McFarlane has done after like 20 other versions, especially for Superman.

Just do it. And when you do, don't make it some gold exclusive I can only pick up at a Wawa in New Jersey.

User897 11-29-2023 09:27 PM

7" Superman, by Todd "75% accurate" McFarlane.

Thatannoyingguy 11-30-2023 05:05 AM

I might get this one as well. I already have two McFarlane classic Superman figs, and the upcoming classic buff Supes with Krypto. I hope this one has matching colors for my AC1000 (w/Atomic Skull). Really like the chest/cape sculpt on AC1000.

Imagine long hair head sculpt from CE with Krypto, torso and cape from 2-pack w/atomic-skull, and limbs of this happy Superman. I dunno about trunks. This happy Supes seems to have slightly larger size of trunks compared to AC1000’s.

ghostbogey 11-30-2023 05:17 AM

The McF Superman....

Nice..
Real Nice

Bravo McF....
Bravo ;^)

EXACTLY! I also use a chainsaw sharpening Dremel bit and carve channels in the top front and bottom front of the ab section to expand the crunch. That bit is about the perfect width. HIGHLY recommend that. Also you can use Acetone to chemically sand any rough areas. Comes out smooth afterwards. I have a few on which the cuts look factory.

I'm not as picky about some of those details as others. I don't need a "classic" Supes to look 100% like he did during a certain time frame. Would I have preferred the round buckle? Yes. But it's not a deal breaker for me.
