I really wish we had meijer stores in the UK. They seem to be an amazing place to pick up figures.

ukmu 02-06-2016 01:21 PM

Great pics Oscar! I don't envy you on dusting day!

bmorr 02-06-2016 02:16 PM

Walmart hardly carries them. None of my nearby 8 Walmarts carry them.

That only helps if they exist in your state. I never even heard of the place until someone here told me about them like last month.

Well you've got Fred Meyers. How are they in getting up to date items in stock?

Used to be the same here but they decided to clearance them. One Grim Reaper left at $9.76

I got almost the whole wave. They only put out 1 case. I left House of M Spidey like everyone else will. :p

My local Walmarts are in the same boat, no MU in sight. Disappointed because that Captain Marvel looks amazing.

Kamatayan 02-06-2016 06:48 PM

You guys are so lucky that you can find the new waves this easily. Idk why, but they're so hard to find in my area. I rarely get good stuff from waves at retail. LCS is where I usually get them but I always end up paying scalper prices.

if Meijer did not clearance out the Infinites we wouldn't have seen any
my TRU is stuck on translucent Wonder-Men

Madame Warlock 02-06-2016 08:03 PM

Fred Meyer is dumb when it comes to clearances. Just to give you an example... The 5 PoA Ultimate Spideys were on clearance today for $5.80 something, marked down from $6.99. Last month though they were on a regular old sale for $3.99.

ukmu 02-07-2016 02:00 AM

Madame Warlock, that 5 poa version of The Vision looked great in Oscar's set up. Doesn't need article to just "float" looking slightly over his shoulder. With four different versions of him now available, there are options. Not the options people want, but at least now they exist. Pony up the cash for.the MU version, settle for the MU variant, display a movie version or grab the upcoming figure.

Given the nature of the hobby and these forums, people will A. Not get any of above said options and complain about it....OR.... option B. Do get one of the above said options and complain about it.

ukmu 02-07-2016 02:03 AM

Also.... wonder which leg will be prone to popping off at the hip with Vision?

Bound to be one...

Yours forgetting about C: get a kit made by Vortious and have classic Vision on the Commander Rodgers buck. Cheaper than the MU release. I'll get this new one for my young avengers, but nothing beats that kit for the original.

I got these at TRU years ago, they were intended to be used to mix up some powder to make a slime drink and you can make little jelly things or what not. They were in the aisle with all the gadgets and robots.

I added a light for effect and painted the plastic parts more silver:
