Yes, this toy line is really looking good so far. I'll see if I find Red Hood tomorrow at my local Game Stop.

Happy Free Comic Book Day! Picked up some books and a few Arkham figures. The Batman was from a garage sale this morning, not a fan of the look but at a dollar couldn't pass up.

^ funny I went back and got Quinn too. Batman looked like a pass for now and there was no Arkham knight. Wonder what his deal is.

Also after sniffing scarecrow I am hallucinating and am really scared.

Not much but I've been getting Ghost Rider comics in the mail for about 3 weeks now so I guess it all evens out.

Oh I hate that. I've gotten a few used books off of Amazon recently and one had a sticker on the cover. Luckily it peeled off with little trouble. Books-A-Million puts them on the back of every graphic novel and sometimes if there's a sale a gigantic sale sticker on the front. Big time pain in the ass.

I agree. Thankfully the owner of this particular used bookstore jots the price in pencil on the first page and that makes it easily removable after purchase.

Yes they are. I like having these books to go with the individual Predator comics I have.

I saw volume 2 as well but had to pass due to lack of funds. Hopefully I'll be able to buy it on my next visit.

Those Harley and Scarecrow figures look good guys. What's the general consensus on the Batman figure?

As far as the chemical smell I think it's a preservative of some kind. I remember some of the Tron Legacy items I bought years ago had that smell so I used a microfiber rag with some rubbing alcohol and that helped to negate any sort of odor quickly.

Picked this up from my local Smyths today for £9.99. The other Hulk figure from the Sub-Ultron and Hulkbuster packs is puny in comparison to this one! Having said that, I would say this one is a bit over-sized scale wise. He's pretty much just as tall as the Hulkbuster, if not just a tad taller.

Every time I've gotten this smell (from the Arkham Knight Scarecrow and the GoT The Hound) it's been on only the one figure from the series which has led me to think that it might be the paint. I am not at all a master of paint information for toys but if it were a chemical preservative then I'd figure the other figures would share the odor, maybe it's a combination of certain paints and the preservative. This could be nothing, but both figures that have had this similar odor for me use a dark-ish brown color.

Color doesn't really matter as I've run into it on items like the Tron Legacy ID discs; those were colored white for Kevin Flynn, orange for Rinzler, blue for Sam Flynn. I remember smelling it on various McFarlane figures from the '90's as well and they featured colors all over the spectrum.

Hmmm, I dunno. It is a distinctly different smell though than the plastic smell from other figures like from NECA or McFarlane, the Scarecrow and Hound have an almost dirt with a slight hint of some kind of oil odor for a time (it lasted a lot shorter with Scarecrow).

The batman figure looked off (his torso) so it was an easy pass.
As for scarecrows smell I think it is some type of weaponized halucinagen.

But then why didn't the figure immediately break in my hands because that's what I was afraid of?!

flea market.
its the cheap version. paid $5 for it.
the "bad motherfucker" is printed on instead of sewn. pretty cool nonetheless.

Opened them up and shot a few comparisons, had a little joint sticking and both have the smell. The right pony tail on Harley is torn out of the box and will need some glue.

Like them but I think I am favoring the earlier game versions better.

Finally got around to buying a representation of one of my favorite video game characters of all time. Nearly bought the new PAK Advent Children version of her, but I just really don't like how obvious the joints look. Ended up getting this version for half the price of the new one.

It's a weird scale, so it doesn't fit in with any of my other collections. She's closest to my Bishoujo statues as far as size and aesthetic, so I placed her beside them for now. Maybe I'll make some kind of diorama base next time I get bored, so she'll fit in even better.

There are some semi-articulated FF7 figures made in the late 90s that are perfect custom fodder for 3.75'' if that's the scale you're looking for. I've been debating for awhile now on redoing Vincent, Tifa, Cloud, Aeris, and Sephiroth from those.
