I think this would great with a nice wash and a little paint job

Autobot_Goldbug 02-11-2016 04:48 PM

Using some Colossus arms & legs Hasbro could make a MU version with a new torso.

The articulation actually didn't look bad and they looked more like 5 inch figures, I would love a 3.75" agent venom, can't wait for those new 3.75" legends 2 packs.

Is it weird that seeing this is causing so much hype?! I mean, I know they're not exactly 3.75" but the main characters I want from these are Zola, Ultimate Goblin, and Agent Venom, all of which should be taller than the average character.

They also have more than 5 POA which allows us to put them in better poses.

Il Cattivo 02-11-2016 06:54 PM

ebay

En Sabah Nerd 02-11-2016 08:03 PM

Saw the new 4" figures at TRU today, they only had these 4 though and they were the full $13 price (those $7.99 tags are for the Sandman figures still hanging around). The only one I really wanted from this wave anyway was Marvel so I'm glad I found her already and with pretty nice paint too. The only slop on mine is her right shoulder's black lines are smudged and bleed into the gold.

I'm working on the same custom, I've worked out how to get the legs on, but the arms are a bit trickier.

And if they have a Rhino, I'd be inclined to grab one of him as well just to have a Rhino of a larger scale for my display.

Looks like I'm going to need to manufacture an excuse to go to TRU sometime.

I was looking at these last night in my local UK ASDA, ok they are for kids and 5 inch scale but the Ultimate green goblin is in great scale for our Universe figures when i measured it next to the Legends series that were stacked next to these he looks like a jacked up green goblin just like in the cartoon, would be great for display. Don't like the look of the Rhino version in this though personally but will pick up the GG for sure. Not that it matters as i wont be buying it but when you put the spiderman versions of these figures next to the Green Goblin version they are the same height and just looks off like a jacked up spiderman, but for the kids dont think they are going to get their tape measures out and complain about scale.

Personally i know agent Venom is big but he isn't portrayed the same size as Green Goblin in the cartoon, which is how these figures are, he actually looks a bit taller that GG in this photo, so its no for me on him defo like the GG version though he will fit in nice with my collection nice.

I think the Ultimate Green Goblin head would be perfectly moved to a Hulk body. The head looks just the right size, and with a little painting...viola.

NYC ToyFair tomorrow!!!!! Never much for our scale of Mar el but maybe a nibble or two. Very exciting seeing ALL new front page every few hours though because of so many NEW reveals! Stuff I don't or ever would collect but it is stil fun looking at new stuff!

LordMudd 02-12-2016 09:57 AM

Just got in from Target/TRU/Walmart. TRU had a case of the new MU. Did not see Ironman, saw 1 each Triton, Ulik, Yondu, Captain Marvel. Only had enough for 1 so I got Triton to go with my Inhumans. With what I had left I got a $5 Ultron. Now I have 1 of each from that line. Hope to get a few more before they are gone.

Saw Goblin, Rhino and Spidey. No Zola. Thinking he might be in the next "wave."

CCC.

UrsaMagnus 02-12-2016 10:23 AM

I went to the closest crappy Wal-Mart over lunch to see if they had anything and as is par for the course with them it was just a waste of my time.
