I'd appreciate LORD MARVEL even if he didn't slang plastic crack.

that's my gangsta.

Iceman 05-05-2012 07:41 PM

Can anyone recommend a black suit Spidey? Are and of them good? I want one but I'm not sure which. I know the Spider-Man line is one too small.

The secret wars CP version is the best.

Tiberius 05-05-2012 07:44 PM

I hear that the 2 pack one with Magneto is good, and if you give him Dr Strages legs, he is amazing.

That's what I was afraid of. Can't find that one anywhere for a decent price. Those packs were all over before I really starting buying MU. I need him, Nightcrawler, and Spider-Woman from those packs.

Colder Soldier 05-05-2012 08:17 PM

The Nightcrawler from the Giant Size Box set is better. Same figure with better paint apps.

I thought the CP black Spidey was the same the single card black Spidey?

I recently bought a CP Spider-Woman I really don't need. I may be able to help you out...

ThatClixGuy 05-05-2012 09:05 PM

If you're looking for a black-suited Spider-Man, then yeah the Secret Wars fig is the way to go. But if you're looking for the Dark Spider-Man, I really do enjoy the Dark Avengers 2pk version. The hand sculpt and overall body looks quite menacing.

That dark spiderman is awesome

I actually just happened to get mine in the mail today. I'd been hedging on it, as I wasn't too sure what the difference would be, but wow! Once I got it in my hands, I knew the fig was perfect for the Dark Avengers Spider-Man. Definitely a must-own fig.

Yeah- that's the shit, right there.
I was thinking of swapping the lower legs wih a repainted Steve Rogers for the ankle swivel but they are too big.

'sokay- he kicks butt as is! The Captain Britian CP Spidey is equally badass- spray some dullcoat on him so he looks like he's got cloth on instead of plastic shine and stick him to a wall with quakehold- looks badass.
Mine is casually sitting above a shelf- his feet and butt attached to the wall with Quakehold...I just need to make him an in-scale Daily Bugle to read.
Maybe a Gameboy.

Anyone know of any 1:18th scale beer mugs? My Guardians of the Galaxy need beer to function as a team (if you read the series you knw how true this is).
http://i.annihil.us/u/prod/marvel/i/...288/detail.jpg
The team taht gets into regular drunken bar fights with all of marvel's ailen species is the team dearest to my heart.

I've decided to use the movie War Machine for my Heroic Age Secret Avengers instead of my Dark Reign one. Re-reading SA and realized they based the pre-I'M 2.0 armor on the movie one. A movie series just became a comic series figure!

Argh, now I have to go back to TRU to get one lol.

That's the one I use... I big ol' Secret Avengers wall poster with War Machine in it, and that movie fig is almost exactly like the Secret Avengers War Machine.

I have a question why does everyone here say that the upcoming ult.spiderman is a smaller figure where is this info from?

He looks err bit the same size to me, too. But I was hoping he would be smaller than other MUs.

People at one of the first cons he was shown at said he uses the Bucky mold. Beyond that, you can look at his proportions and tell that it's the same size as Bucky and Patriot.

gunzilla 05-05-2012 11:08 PM

Thanks guys, I just didn't notice a difference.

An update to my Wasp custom, switched her arms the original ones looked too long to me, still need to find a good set of wings

Thanks. I didn't notice either. After looking at pics of him in package, now I can sort of see it. He'll be my new default Spidey.

Them is just lazy artists and poor editorial oversight- WM was in something like the movie armor at the same time he was in the 2.0 armor and neither matched his armor from Iron Man issues just before that (which had danglng wires and sucked bigtime).
It's even worse in the issues of X-Men he guest starred in- and they made him seem like a total rookie.
What bullshit.

Of course, next up is the "tron armor"...I just dont know what to say about that noise.

But yeah, I use a modified movie WM for my team- I just added the missile rack from some mecha game mini and he kicks ass!
Both him and the current IM look great together but insanely too small next to any Mu figure. Stick them on flight stands and they look fine though- as long as they're not next to any other figs.

You might want to consider using a Redakai fig for your Wasp wing , they are on clearance on Tarjay right now. Heres a pic of those wasp wings.

Those would be great, first thing tomorrow, field trip to target

Also:

I decided to make Sue's uniform sleeveless, not sure if I should make her gloves longer or not

Tarooster 05-06-2012 05:04 AM

Found that Bucky cap up here in Maine on vacation at a Walmart clearance for $5, looks like a great figure. Also got the commander Rogers for free at TRU when I bought some of the legend two packs.
