TRUST is HUGE... but ya gotta earn your rep.

IMO.

True that. If there is some one in our community being dishonest about trades I'd like to know. I was ripped off recently and then the next person to contact me about a trade had no feedback and verry few posts here. They never provided proof they even had what they wanted to trade. I got this responce: "I just dont have Internet and I'm working on getting the figures hence why you have not gotten any pictures." Red flags all over this deal. No internet but he sent me several pms because he wanted what I had. I don't want people buying things just to make a trade with me. Or people who don't have dependable internet access trying to make deals. I have a feeling this is the same person people are talking about.

I'd like to know too via PM. I don't want to be duped. I have been dealing mostly with reliable Arkers so far like Pete and Lord. :) Very outstanding, trust-worthy individuals.

Much APPRECIATED.

I can check my LCS, if PP and LM can't hook it up. I remember seeing him there a couple of months, may still be there.

Thanks Exodus! Much appreciated. LM is actually helping me BIG TIME w my other Ultimates needs. Grey Hulk is eluding me at the moment, but no worries. It always works out.

Regarding the other topic, just read fine print on BST lists and don't fall for scammers. That's all I'm saying. Do your homework, gents.

Awesome, although those are almost twice as much as retail...I may wait for BBTS too and throw it in with my other stuff, been getting my TFP from them lately. But if it's a case, is it 2 per case? If so any Arker's want to get in on it with me?

Without trust we have nothing, chances are most posters on here will never meet in person, but that still doesn't give you assholes out there lookin to scam people out of figs or money carte blanch to try to screw this community up.

This is a great site, lots of good honest people that really don't mind helping folks out in in the interest of sharing the love of the Marvel universe. And that is awesome, I've had nothing but awesome interactions with people on here and gotten the chance to acquire figs that I never thought I'd get. And that's really what it's all about. So whoever it is that sparked all this, and anyone out there that is thinking of trying to screw someone over on this site, go be an asshole somewhere else. Because we are all friends here.

I haven't posted in a while because I was laid off a couple months ago and I've been bummed out about it, as well as just feeling like I didn't have anything to add to the conversation, but this topic has been my slump buster because I've always tried to do what I can to help folks out on deals and I know a lot of other folks on here that tout the same mantra. There are too many good people on here to let a few bad apples ruin it.

@Lord Marvel, sorry to hear about your mod drama, espically since you are one of the best arkers out there, so be careful, they like to rule from their iron throne with an iron fist. I've learned that first hand and got the infraction to prove it. So tread lightly grasshopper.

On the appreciation front, plain and simple the Avengers movie, epically good, the avengers toys however, pretty much shit. That hulk is a travesty Hawkeye has a cool look but articulation sucks, loki's helmet shoulda been removeable nothing against Sam Jackson but I couldn't care less about that nick fury, his classic look and costume are so bad ass that it angers me that they don't release an updated one of the mail away with the new DD/BE body, so I've commissioned a custom from a buddy of mine using BE's body. As well as a custom that he already made himself that is Awesome and so I'm having one made for myself. I'll post pics as soon as they are done.

Also can't hate that new beast more, I'll get it just because I need a beast, but it looks like hot garbage. I'm really looking forward to Kraven so hasbro please stop shipping shitty avengers toys with ridiculous accessories that aren't worth the plastic the are made of and with steps backwards in terms of design and articulation, and focus on your awesome MU line.

I know that'll never happen since Avengers shattered box office records and now kids are foaming at the mouth to feed their tiny plastic crack addiction with sub par toys that they are to uneducated to realize how much they suck, but sometimes it feels good to vent.

Hey hasbro if you polish a turd and put it in a new package its still a TURD

Yet some of us still salivate over the turds before they're even in production!

The Light-up base thing is so jacked up. Everyone was so excited to have the back half since it included characters that weren't on the front. It's CRAZY to think that they thought this mix of characters is better.

We're DAMN LUCKY to have gotten Black Panther and Black Widow in the same group!

I really hope the exclusive figure/mail away isn't different than the Doom. The Unmasked Doom of NYCC already goes for more than $100, if they don't offer it en masse via subscription or at SDCC, it'll SKYROCKET in value. It's kind of a crappy figure, and shouldn't be as valued as it is now. I wish they'd start the subscription thing for this year already. What's with the delay on that?

I do like how in the new movie they portray 'she is the way she is', because her constant sexuality is a weapon. Still, a russian accent would've added to that I think.

You'd think her accent would slip here and there, but it was just too 'spot on' English. I would expect her to be able to speak accent-less English, but I would also expect that she do it with some difficulty.

Makes me wonder if her other languages had an English accent to them, or if they were perfectly accentless too.

As others mentioned, there was a BOGO 50% sale that included Iron Man, Cap, and Thor of Wave 1 on TRU.com back in December. At the time, they were already posted at $12.99, so I bought 2 of each and returned the doubles without a receipt to TRU locally to get store credit for them. That put the cost of the 4 Wave 1's at $6.50 each for 3 of them and $12.99 for Hulk, making the average price around $8.

Wave 2 I bought using their most recent in-store deal where you get a free Avengers 3.75" figure with spending $30 on others, so I bought 4 Wave 2's at $16.99 each, and got two $9.99 Avengers figures free that I hope to swap out for Waves 3 and 4 when they come out.

If you wait long enough, you'll get a good deal on them, but you run the risk of missing the harder to find ones. Hulk was gone for a long time.

Also, is Avengers Hulk rare? I just realized today that I've never seen him at any store here. I've seen a ton of all the other Avengers toys released but never him. The figure looked terrible so I guess I just didn't think about until now.

Not rare, per se, but more often bought than the Iron Men and Caps. I still see him on pegs from time to time.

Dang, well I picked up BW for a friend's bday, and kept BP for myself, saw Extremis IM though but left him, I figured he would be an easier one to find. The Hulk I've seen many times. Hopefully they'll have that sale again, I may get all of them then if that sale pops up again. They're 16.99 now though which is decent, cause if I remember right they were asking for 20 something when they first came out...

Lordy Lord is right. That's easily highway robbery, $15 for a brand new one. Yikes. I hope prices don't stay that way.

Out of context of the entire quote, but sorry to hear that dude. Times are tough all over, it seems. Well, except for the Avengers execs, they're probably pretty happy at this point.

We can see how much BBTS has them for, or HTS may be a cheaper route, I noticed that they're TFP were about 3-4 cheaper with shipping.

dude,I aint paying $19 and change for it,some of us are actually strapped for cash, and to further my point about distribution it was the ONLY figure/figures I saw out of 4 stops that was new, everywhere else was a waste,so I do find something and I cant afford it because the price is jacked up beyond my price range,so in essence there is 2 things that suck about this hobby right now,A.DISTRIBUTION,B.PRICES. So when you actually find something "htf" is not buyable, how ironic, even if I could afford it walmart dropped their cp's to like $14, F paying $19,target can keep their one htf figure of the month or year at the rate retail is going, lets not fool ourselves here SH0CKWAVE,this is a bad time to be a collector, almost enough to drive any sane person out of it completely.

Yup Target/TRU prices are insane, too bad Wally doesn't have a great distribution when it comes to Marvel. Although there is a way around that...if you really want it.

there again we go back to the distribution problem, walmart has better prices yet the worst distribution out of target, tru and walmart,so you have a nice price and an empty peg or a crazy price and an actual figure(here and there),cant win,bad time to be a collector, bad time!

Also, the shipping is $8 minimum. The great thing about BBTS is the pile of loot option. Sure, I have to wait months, but I can grab little things and throw them in there without paying another $8 to ship one $5 figure.

The ENTIRE LINE is "molded pieces of plastic". That's like calling your car "welded metal", or your house "a bunch of sticks".

I mean, I could accept it if you were talking about something like the original Power of The Force Spirit of Obi-wan "figure" that had no articulation at all, but you're not.

I was referring to the fact that its not worth paying nor can I afford that kind of money for molded plastic, but thank you for helping me relize that more then just the power of the force spirit of obi wan figure is molded plastic as well.:rolleyes

im not sure you will find it at a good price like that for much longer. I paid about the same (on preorder thru a seller on Amazon) and I feel like I got more than my money's worth. arguably 2 of the most well made figures in the whole line in one pkg.
