I need a Kraven now.... putting a Sinister Six team together. Finally decided tyo do SOME of the Spidey villians. Got Sandman just because he was is store, picking up Vulture for a head swap and will put our old Strucker head on Vulture, will grab a Doc Ock just because now. Mysterio is 6 quid shipped from Chinabay as is Elecktro but he is a bit more.
Need a Cable now as well after getting bishop. So there is several figures i am getting that a few weeks ago i had ZERO plans of getting simply because HASBRO has upped the game on their distrobution and they available in stores here. |

Bought the marvel now cap and winter soldier. I may get into this line and just pick up the figures I actually like when they are the reduced price mind, instead of picking all of them up to build a figure and having figures I have no interest in. |
The Birstal TRU, did they have any Black Widows? I want to build a mandroid.

If you're not building Mandroid and don't want the head that came with Cap.... :D Cheers, Doug |
Good looking out JimmyO! I love how easy the waves are to get now. Indy sellers, Chinabay, preorder e-tailers, mum and pop shops, Sainsburys..... Hopefully, gone forever are the days of having to import or beg someone from the states to send you some or pay out the nose and buy full cases when you wanted only two figures.
If this is what the rebrand was for, than it worked! If, and that is a BIG if, it holds true and steady wave after wave! |

If anyone's a Turtles fan and fancies a crack at a custom 3.75" scaled Shredder, you can get a Shredder with removable helmet for £7.49 from Smyths, which if you place the helmet on a suitable MU figure is pretty much most of the custom.

Hasbro has never been consistent in this, and I think these are available in anticipation of the Avengers movie (on the retailers part). |

If you stop collecting it doesnt mean you have to sell up though. One could just enjoy what they have built up and spent COUNTLESS hours researching, hunting or talking about on the worldy widey webby.
I get it though.....it seems it is all or nothing with collecting. I thought we were about at the end of buying figures and then got sucked in to buying some other X-Men and some Spidey Villians. At least we are ALMOST at the end of army building!!! Well, we will start a Moleman army soon. I know thyat we are solid on the numbers with the armies, I wont get sucked in to upping the troop count. Oh, and ULTRONS when the goldtrons drop. And still need 4 more Doombots.... but that is it!!! ;) Mostly on to doing customs now. Not great at them but you get better each time so it is just a matter of trying them.Thiose get EXPENSIVE quick though. Thuink we will get most of the parts we need cast in the colour we want so we have ZERO paint rub. Also getting a head painted professionally isnt too expensive, so we will do what we can when we can and call in the heavies when needed. The custom list is mostly Avenger females anyway. |
The Toys R Us exclusive 3.75" AOU sets have gone from "Not sold in stores" to "Out of stock in stores" on the website. Plus, they're out in the stores over in the US now so we should be getting them very soon :)

It staggers me just how much better value Legends figures are than Infinite ones. You get the figure - larger, more detailed, better artic - accessories in almost every pack, and a part of a build a figure - all for about $20, while Infinite costs $12. If Legends were being priced the way Infinite is right now they should cost about $35. I think that Infinite is being used to mitigate costs on Legends. A seller on eBay has the latest Infinite wave but is asking like £20 a fig. I have no idea how, but it's not worth it - no way no day. Quote:

I guess seeing the nasty side of this game too many times, wants me to just get out now.i never tried to live vicariously through my collection like a lot of people do.but then I need to remind myself that its all some people have going in their life.i reckon by the time 2016 comes around,I'm definitely done and will move on from all this, let it be someone else's headache!!!

Todays mini haul - MU Cloak, Armoured DD + Vulture (sorry for the crappy pic!)

No matter how it ends up me and the kid had a wild ride through JLU to SHS and then MU with some stops at TMNT and ben 10 along the way and it has been a pleasure speaking to everyone across multiple boards (Jackieboy helped me locate a cable for my apocalypse, UKMU will eventually find those transfers from Narnia etc.) We are not leaving yet but the window really is shortening and as quality decreases and price increases I am not sure how much longer I can justify it. |

I love the 3.75 figures but hate that the quality is hit and miss between figures, some are better than others. And the new Infinite ones are terrible value with the lack of articulation. I have bought Sandman and Daredevil because these are good figures and are obviously using old molds as they have all the articulation, also got Bishop but only because I'm trying to build up an X-Men team apart from that he isn't a great figure. Then you look at new Beast and Big Time Spiderman and they are rubbish, you can tell Hasbro has no interest now for 3.75 and are producing poor figures with minimum production cost but maximum profit. I'm in a bit of quandary as where to go with my collection, if it wasn't for space I'd probably go for 6inch Legends but 3.75 don't take up too much room and I'm probably too committed now to change from this size. Plus they are the perfect scale for dioramas, which I'll post a few pics later of my first attempts. |
