Can't say I'm a huge Sia fan but it was so popular I still hear little kids sing it. I try listen to all sorts of music, makes it a lot easier to relate to baby boomers, gen X, Y, or millennials.

This is what I love about 3.75" marvel toys, they are accessible to just about everyone at every level of the socioeconomic scale. If you wanna drop $8k on some figures that oh by the way DOUBLE in value, have at it. If you are on a fixed income without much disposable income (or just happen to be a little kid with struggling parents), take your chances at the discount stores or clearance sales and pick up some figures for $5 or less.

Yes sir...agreed.

ukmu 02-20-2016 02:46 PM

I always enjoy your setup Ursa.... always!

Jay, I use 6 of the Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) in that suit for SHIELD TEAM SIX- a specialist team in our (soon to be displayed) setup. To be honest, I think him and Duke would be slightly undersized for Iron Skull. What about a Hammer Drone from Iron Man? Those are beefy and have the look, what would be perfect s a Spartan 3.75 Halo figure- I know those don't exist I'm just thinking outside the box. Bound to be some more robot looking suits in our scale....

I may still try that Accelator suit Duke (wrongly called Reactive Armor by me earlier). I have no problem assuming Skull is just a small dude in armor, but maybe I want him big...hmmm....decisions.

Nice siege you got going on there Ursa! Love the big barbarian guy, is that a He-Man? How is the Thor 2 pack? I noticed his axe was pilfered by age of thunder Thor.

Thank you for the info! Does he find treasure for He-Man? Lol at the accessory!

UrsaMagnus 02-20-2016 06:58 PM

Thanks for the comments, folks. Much appreciated.

@Universe, the two-pack Thor is fine. Nothing special honestly. I'm not thrilled by his head sculpt and dorky expression, but his Jarnbjorn fits nicely in Ages' hand. I've given the two-pack Thor the Jarnbjorn from the ML BaF, as he's bigger and it looks better in his hand.

@theArchivist, that is indeed Tytus, from MOTUC. I got him because (in my shelf canon at least) he's king of the Storm Giants, and an ally to Asgard. So he came to help defend this outpost from this incursion. I've actually got some of the MOTUC Icer figures en route to me now to help bolster the ranks of the Frost/Ice Giants.

Also, Bladekiller was too cool to pass up when a friend offered him and the human hero guy (who's standing inside the castle walls) to me gratis.

You ever consider getting a kotal Kahn figure for a frost giant? They have been peg warming near me. If they go on sale I may pick up a few for frost Giants:

UrsaMagnus 02-20-2016 07:20 PM

I didn't even know that existed. That's pretty darn cool! Where is it available because I may just need to grab a few if the price is right.

theArchivist 02-20-2016 07:29 PM

Those are great figures I'll have to add both to the Archive a giants. I've seen Kotal Kahn at TRU but never thought of him as a giant before.
There is also a bloody version

I've got a whole section for MOTUC. I've got Megator and he's a pretty awesome figure.

There is also the Funko Legacy figures that make nice Giants. A little blue paint and we have some more Frost Giants.

They are at TRU but they are charging $23 at my local one.

Universe 02-20-2016 07:51 PM

That bloody version is wicked.

To keep with the fantasy theme, a dark elf Bulwark:

I will snap a pic of the Accelerator Suit a Hammer Done and an Iron Man for you for comparison. It is 7 am Sunday right now and I don't want my family thinking that I am (even more) crazy.

Also... LOVE the kotal Frost Giant idea....how big are they'

Any word on when Wave 2 is coming, I am anticipating the arrival of my dream Gamora figure

Kotal Kahn looks to be about 6.5" from the pics I've seen. I'll try to pick one up this week for scale pics.
