okay, so there I was...I find myself in TRU because I told USAgent I would look for a light up stand cap for a trade with him...

So as I paruse the toy aisles (avengers display, and marvel toys in their usual spots) an employee walks up to me and asks if I "need help finding anything?".

as I already had checked both displays I tell him I am looking for wave 2 of the avengers light up TRU exlcusive figs.

he tells me what he has is what is out. So I casually explain to him (btw at no time did I become emotional, or raise my voice...AT ALL)...that it doesnt make sense that they have ordered a huge amount of the wave one figs (sorry USAgent no cap). They literally have 8 of each wave one figures that were not there before.

The employee starts getting heated, and tells me they ordered nmore of wave one because the they are "sought after"...

At this I gawked and pointed out that they were in fact NOT sought after thus why there are so many wave one figures sitting on the shelves, and EVERY wave 2 figure has been bought.

He tells me the Iron Man ought of wave 2 was CRAP anyway and continued to list reasons why what I was looking for was not in the store.

So I continue to talk to him and explain (calmly) why what he is telling me makes no sense (i mean cmon I know the game and know why there are no wave 2 figs there), I then ask why there are no wave 2, he gets even more distrought at me (I dont know why) and continues to make excuses as to why there are only wave one! I am not quite sure why he was so pissed as I was not...

He then gets a store supervisor involved and to the SS's behalf she was (i guess) backing her employee...

she starts rambling on about how if I wanted them I would have to order them online and have them shipped, as I was simply just stating how her store employee was completely wrong (in the most open minded tone I could), and she started to change her demeanor...

~Again~ I dont know why as the employees were the ones making a big deal out of it...

I dont know if they knew they were wrong or what?

Then they asked if I WOULD LEAVE. So I politely left with nothing...and trust me I WILL NEVER go back there again...

I just didnt get how I had done nothing wrong, and I was asked to leave...

yea my tru has a shit load of wave 1 that they orderd for the avengers movie... dont know why they didnt order wave 2.. lucky i was able to grab them a day befor they put all the wave 1 stuff out and up the price by two bucks... TRU SUCKS!!!!!!

I thought it was a big joke...I mean I have been in that place countless times, and left empty handed...I dont really have time to hunt anymore, but there is NEVER anything there I buy...whatever, at least I came home with a funny WTF moment...thought you guys might like that

I work retail and I can tell you that what you described is the worst example of customer service I've probably ever heard. A supervisor should never ask a customer to leave the store unless they are a threat to others physically or are disturbing the other shoppers in a profound way.(drunk, swearing loudly, yelling, etc.) or possibly if they are damaging store property but at that point they would probably get the cops involved.

I really am shocked that happened, but TRU really does have crappy service anyway. (I use to work there years ago and I can tell you this with all honesty) you'd think being the only major toy retailer left in this horrible economy they might wanna actually keep their customers lol.
