Hope they release Turbo before their machine robo license expires ;)
|
And blue Jet, and Porsche Robo if possible, and a DX Eagle Robo.

Reviving this thread after picking up a couple new ones, Steam Robo/Loco and DX Bike Robo/Cy-Kill... this line just keeps revitalizing my love for it. Has there been any word one way or the other on the future of the line? |
I know they're doing classic mecha from various Anime in this style but nothing new except for what we already heard. Wasn't there some news from a convention last year that another company, possibly Bandai were going to do Revenge of Chronos toys?
|
I'd leap upon "Masterpiece" Rocklords… but regular Gobots? meeeeehhhhh… I really didn't have fond memories of that show. Crasher was quirky, but that was about it for me.
|
So, the line is not dead - Action Toys just announced on their Facebook page last night that Tough Trailer and Blue Jet/Fitor are slated for release later this year, with numerous sites putting up preorders for them today.
Hopefully, at the very least, they'll make it through the ones we've seen in prototype form, if not continuing the line proper. |
I was really happy to hear that. I had to pass on their smaller Chogokin figures which I really wanted to try but I'll go for these, still need to pick-up some of the older ones. Is Tough Trailer a DX release or just bigger? Is that the one where the original toy was a re-tool from Sentai?

Something tells me the DX Bike Robo was just a special one-off release. |
Waking the thread up from slumber. Now that Tough Trailer is sitting in my BBTS Pile of Loot, and with Blue Jet/Fitor and Buggy Robo/Buggyman in the preorder wings... have Action Toys said anything about why Supercar Robo/Turbo keeps getting delayed? Especially given that he's been bumped for Buggyman, who hadn't even gotten showed off as an unpainted prototype before suddenly getting slated for release.
I have no qualms with the line itself, and I'll support it as long as it exists, but the lack of information/communication from Action Toys is weird. |
I have Tough Trailer coming, it's very interesting that some of the more recognizable figures keep getting pushed back. Also, no word on if there will be a second DX figure. I think Action Toys is having more success with their other mini Chogokin line, some of those figures look really good.
|
Oh my, the box for Tough Trailer is HUGE, almost as big if not bigger than the DX Bike Robo. Can't wait to bust this piece of history out. By the way, it's Machine Robo #09 and we're on the 9th page of this thread, lol.

He basically said it was junk. Don't agree with that myself but, I just thought it was funny how harsh he was. And that seems to be the only English review around at the moment.

Personally I love mine, and my only qualm with him is that you hafta unpeg his gut to use the forward leg articulation. If you want to see a fun english review however, watch Thew's review from when he got the figure a year before it was released. |
C'mon Action Toys. Give Us Turbo already. We first saw the gray model in 2015!
