Yea I wish DBZ received more love.

Augustus_Cole 08-14-2016 03:28 PM

CxGVoodooDoll 08-14-2016 04:10 PM

Yea, especially the Con-Exclusives. So darn pricey, but so damn cool!

Bandai doesn't know what they are losing by managing so awfully the DBZ franchise.

I mean, it is one of the most popular cartoons of all times, with millions of fans everywhere. They should mass-produce their figures and offer them at reasonable prices all over the world. Maybe don't make them so complicated and articulated, reduce some joint points to something like a regular Marvel Legends, but for God's sake, forget all the Goku/Vegeta variants and start producing other characters! not having a Boo figure after 4 or 5 years of line.....

You could just give a BAF part, make 6 figures per wave, then you can make 2-3 less important characters, they will get sold anyway, and the BAF can be any muscular, rather big character to save on costs, so Broly, Yakon, Nappa, Mutenroshi in muscular form, etc.

Now with the new Dragon Ball Super, when it gets dubbed in english and other languages (I think it hasn't been yet) nearly anything they do will be a success!

With their prices and policy, I only have two SH Figuarts and 6 copy figures. And I have more than 200 Marvel Legends....

Shodo Dragonball Z wave in Barnes and noble. Started with Vegeta and got hooked and went around three cities to find all three. These things are so small.

Those look pretty nice.

I finally watched that movie not too long ago and when Vegeta stepped in (took it long enough) and just rocked Freeza's ass off it was so awesome.

CxGVoodooDoll 12-30-2016 04:45 PM

Sweet stuff so far!

Time for a bump.

Picked up this San Diego Con Exclusive today.

I owned it long ago and have regretted it ever since. Owner still had it in was able to make a fair trade to get it back.

Sorry, the Skywarp was part of the trade and therefore allowed to be in the pic...lol

Ive just got Piccolo and Gohan (Cell Saga) but what Id really like is original Dragonball kid Goku and Bulma Figuarts. I have the DOD Bulma, but shes a bit big and not really pose-able. Just the different faces.

Pretty good idea!!

Hey I just bought a ROF Frieza off ebay. $45, has bandai logo, all seemed legit so I snagged it. Now i'm looking closer and they covered the Toei sticker with a yellow sticker and in the description it says it was made by "Bandai Hong Kong"

Did I buy a bootleg? SMH already.....

Here's the ebay number: 311593112015

Thanks

CxGVoodooDoll 01-10-2017 07:46 AM

Looks like the Japanese version maybe.

I never seen a yellow sticker like that. Is there a sticker underneath it?

not to sound facetious....
but did you REALLY think you were getting a legit one for 45.00?!?!

of all my DBZ i do have one bootleg of the original Vegeta..works fine..looks great..from the same country ;).. and a fraction of the price.

The original is $150+ for sure, but the golden frieza is pretty commonly found for $50-$60, so yeah I did expect it to be legit. I'd be shocked if you could find one of those being sold for anything over $80 even.

It's still in shipping so I guess I'll find out in a week or so what's under that sticker!

I haven't seen a bootleg of golden frieza yet so hopefully it's real. If not send it back, you can pick him up from BBTS for $40.00 and be 100% sure.

Augustus_Cole 01-12-2017 08:22 AM

What is ROF?

Resurrection of (F)reeza.

During the holiday season, BBTS had that figure as low as $36.00. Anything with a sticker to cover an authentic sticker I'd be doubtful of. Once you get the item post some pics to see what you got.

Augustus_Cole 01-12-2017 09:17 AM

OHHHHH..okay...so in my initial comment..i didn't realize we were talking about the Golden Frieza...thought the convo was about the original one.
my bad..

With that being said...YUP..i wouldn't want a knockoff if i was paying the amount that the originals cost...

Wintersplit 01-12-2017 08:34 PM

Yeah, that's my thinking as well. If it's the same price as the originals, I obviously want an original. But I've examined it pretty closely from the images, and besides the sticker being covered, it looks legit. I'll post some pics if i'm still not sure when I get it but I'm thinking it should be pretty obvious in person. Thanks for all the responses!

DBZ Rocks!

Anyone have plans on getting the Gohan and Cell?

Probably going to pick up Cell, he looks on point. Also, it's great to see them putting some effects with it like they used to. Gohan would be cool to go with the awakening goku but it's hard to justify since I just got the original gohan a few months ago. :D

Just picked up a purple Godzilla Atomic Breath effect off ebay from can of beams. Think it'll go great as a death beam!
