Glad to see you again on the forum. The figure looks amazing. Also very detailed. The photos are great as always. Congratulations. :)

Thank you, it was a busy time with some family matters and work. So didn’t get the chance to spend time on hobby. Hopefully, it will be back to regular now :)

Thank you :) Glad you like them. The last set was thanks to a trip I had to Michaels lol. Picked up some flowers that I thought might go with the shots :D

Some pics of Figma Falslander Ronin. Out of recent Figma releases, this is definitely my favorite. Her hat can of course be removed and there is a head for that, and you can swap head-sculpts in both heads. She also comes with an alternate lower torso, so that you can display her without the skirt. My only negative complaint is that the sheathe for the Odachi doesn't come with a separate sword handle to give the sheathed appearance. So you have to actually insert the Odachi into the sheath, which can result in some paint transfer over time unless you are super careful.

Gotta say the production value of these photos is amazing. They look like stills for a movie, but with action figures.

Cyclopswc 10-03-2022 06:12 AM

I always appreciate people who go the extra mile for the "powder snow", nice!

Thank you so much! :) Part of my collecting hobby is the photography side where my goal is to create shots that look cinematic as possible with the figures I get. So I am glad if these shots accomplish that by even a little :)

Thank you, but I must confess that it is actually not powder snow in the shots. I thought about using powder for snow, but the setup was about a meter long and a foot wide for the middle roadway. That would require a large amount of powder. So what I did for this setup is use a white carpet. I found that if I take the shot at the right angle + have the right lighting, it actually comes across as snow when I did a couple of test shots. I am glad if it was able to pass for powder snow :D

Fantastic pics, you definitely have a talent for photography!

You're welcome. Keep up the good work because I really like these photos.

Well, then points must be subtracted for cheating! Instead of A++++++++++++++++++++, you now get A+++++++++++++++++++!

Ha! :)

I have seen a few figures of Figma company. The toy looks very nice. The photos are still great. I know how difficult it is to take these photos. Making a diorama, finding the best angle and light. You really work hard for the photos. Congratulations. :)

Kang 10-05-2022 10:13 AM

Everyone else has already said it, but again, killer staging and photography, these pictures are really stunning!

Thank you :) Sorry for the late reply, but I haven't had a chance to come on ToyArk for awhile now.

A pic of the S.H.Figuarts Forger family figures from Spy X Family. I really appreciated how they did Anya in scale to go with the rest of the family. Also, I found their Loid and Yor figures to be somewhat larger than the typical Figma, which is also nice.

Well, welcome back! It's been 3 months since your last post. Time to catch up on taking pictures of the new toys!

Dotanuki 01-21-2023 04:26 PM

Nice pictures. You sure know how to use photoshop, nice effects on figure pics. It is good to see someone who is into anime around here. (: Very good hauls. I used to be really into Play Arts Kai myself, but the princes just got higher and higher with Play Ars Kai line and i was really disappointed with the last Arkham Knight series, Batman that i got... I just quitted Play Arts Kai alltogether like 8 years ago. Never bought another Play Arts Kai eversince.

Thank you :) It has been awhile! Was hoping to take and post more photos during the Christ as break, but time got taken by other matters haha. So there is certainly a backlog.

Thank you so much for your kind words, and I am glad if you liked the photos :)!

On PAK, I have bit of a love hate relationship with the line. I can’t get myself to completely quit collecting them because that is the line I started collecting with when I was older. But, their quality and the value we get for the price has been all over the place. The line was dead for a few years after some atrocious design and pricing decisions toward the end of the Marvel and DC variant lines that slumped their sales. But, it got revived again for the Final Fantasy VII and Nier figure releases. I still pick some up when they interest me and the price is low enough. Square Enix doesn’t share the licenses freely, so there’s not many alternative options when it comes to certain characters.

I also do collect a reasonable bit of anime content. I do have some that I still need to photograph. So stay tuned :)

Np, yeah, i liked your photos. I agree, some of those Play Arts Kai Batman variants were really bad designs with ridiculous prices. I am looking forward for your photos. (:

I still have figures from the past few months to photograph, but I ended up skipping them for Lady Maria DX version by Figma. I had it on Pre-order for a year and a half, and was following it through the prototype stage for years. It finally arrived, so here are some pics.

For a super short review before the images, I feel that it is the best Figma in years, or perhaps the best one they have ever made. Excellent paintjob, unimpeded articulation, and tons of accessories. I haven't even used all of them in the following photos, so will definitely be revisiting this figure again in the next few days. Anyway, now to the photos :)

It looks really amazing. This figure is very detailed. The atmosphere reminded me of Bloodborne. :) Very nice photos. Congratulations.

I have been wanting to buy the Sakai figure of Figma for a long time. A little expensive, but very detailed and with plenty of accessories. Have you ever seen it? Any idea what kind of figure it is?

Thank you so much! Glad you like it haha. I was trying to recreate the Bloodborne atmosphere as well.

On Sakai, I hadn't heard of it till now. I haven't played the game, so it went completely under my radar. It looks very good in terms of detail and accessories. I PM'd you a link where the price is not too unreasonable for it. I've shopped there many times and they are very reliable so if the price matches with your expectations, go for it before it gets sold :)

Dotanuki 02-01-2023 02:56 AM

I am not fimiliar with Lady Maria character, but nice pictures. (:

I see SpyXFamily manga vols. here and there, but i haven't pulled the triger on them yet. Nice picture. (:

Thank you! :) The SpyXFamily is definitely one of the most wholesome shows/manga. It also helps that the stories are for the most part standalone.

Some pics of W40K Adeptas Sororitas 1/18 scale figures by JoyToy. I was resisting the urge to get into these lines, but I thought I'd take a quick dip with this set lol. Will have to keep myself under control to stop myself from going for the other releases for the faction. All I want them to make now is a band of Howling Banshee units for the Eldar.

Wow... Those Adaptus Soraritas figures look so good. I am really tempted to get some JoyToy Warhammer 40K Figures, i think i finally give in and get in the line to some degree but the BBTS site is not properly working at the moment.

Yea, I was pretty happy with how they turned out too. One thing though is that since these were my first 1/18, I was a bit taken back with the size. It’s the size of a nendo. But, it also helps with the vehicles and titan units when they start making them. So understandable. I am pretty tempted to get the Paragon Warsuit for this sister order. I am hesitant because there’s also the sister units from two new orders coming up, and probably Celestine at some point. It’s very easy to spend a ton if I get drawn in down this path lol.

ddarko 03-17-2023 12:24 AM

Just another shot of the Adeptas Sororitas in more of an action setting to spice things up :)
