^^^ Same. Except it'll be Tuesday for me.

Comedian 07-28-2018 12:06 PM

I received my shipping notice as well. I noticed Neca did not display these at Sdcc. Im think obvious reasons.

graphyt 07-29-2018 10:59 AM

Looks like mine are still listed as preshipping. Soon hopefully

ynnek4 07-31-2018 07:29 PM

Anyone else had a “shipping label created” for the past 4-5 days?

My shipping label was created on Wednesday of last week with expected delivery tomorrow. It hasn't moved at all since, with no explanation for the holdup.

I actually came here to post the same question. Mine originally had an expected delivery date of the 30th.

I sent NECA an e-mail yesterday asking about this. Haven't heard back yet.

webz 08-01-2018 05:52 AM

Mine is at my local post office now, delivery later today.

Post office? Mine was shipped via UPS for some reason...

K Dubious 08-01-2018 09:24 AM

I got the notice on 7/27 that the shipping label was created, but that is still where it stands today...

Mine also is UPS tracking information

Trivial Psychic 08-01-2018 09:44 AM

Apparantly, we are not alone. Neca posted this on their Facebook page yesterday.

SDCC Pre-Sale Shipping
==
If you placed an order during our online Pre-Sale Event in June, we have begun processing orders for shipment today. If you have not received a shipment notification e-mail yet, do not worry! We will be sending out more e-mails tomorrow, into next week!
==
Update 7/31: All shipping labels were created as of last Friday(7/27). Orders have been boxed and set aside for the daily UPS pickup over the weekend. Once a box is picked up by UPS, it's scanned in, but at times their system updates right away and other times it takes a few hours. Orders have already started going out. It is just a matter of time. There are too many orders for the warehouse to process in just 1 or 2 days (they can't halt their incoming deliveries), but everything will be finished shipping this week!

This was posted on Twitter:

Same here, no movement. I know they've got thousands of orders though.

webz 08-01-2018 10:11 AM

Got mine. Awesomeness!

My stuff finally started moving. Should be here Wednesday.

name 08-03-2018 09:47 AM

Still waiting for mine to ship.
At first it showed it would be here Monday and then it went back to “shipping label created waiting for pick up”

...sigh

metalalchemist 08-10-2018 07:19 PM

For those that already received them. How good was your box condition?
The external casing of the box arrived a bit banged up for me. Packing did not seem too meticolous (at least for what they charge in shipment)

Trivial Psychic 08-10-2018 07:47 PM

Mine arrived today, looking like it had been tossed around a bit. Kinda surprised NECA went the Sideshow route and sent it in an unwrapped shipper box with just paper to keep the items from shifting or getting damaged.

Inside, the boxes were mostly okay. I had some dents and creasing in the figure box, but since it's supposed to represent an old VHS cassette tape, it kind of worked in its favor. Still, sucks for those who like to keep their stuff mint, but I didn't buy this set for a cardboard box, even if I am keeping the packaging.

The dio was in slightly better shape...a dinged corner and some pressure crinkles here and there. That could happen though just as easily taking out of the box, and since the packaging is also retro, the damage kinda worked with the look. Everything in side was just fine though, and outside a scary moment trying to remove one of the windows to insert the glass, it assembled with no problems. I do wish the roof supports were a bit more secure and sturdy. I can see those tiny pegs breaking off at the slightest bump. Gonna have to look into a much better method.

metalalchemist 08-13-2018 08:21 AM

Yeah, the packaging is lacking honestly. And for what they charge for shipment, it should not be the case.
I wrote to them in this regard, will see what happens.

juggernaut209 08-13-2018 08:32 AM

I received my set on Thursday and have really been enjoying them. This is a fantastic set of figures, and having such high quality versions of my favorite iteration of the TMNT is awesome. Unfortunately, my Leonardo has the ankle tear issue that I have seen other collectors reporting on other sites. I hope I can get at least a new lower leg from NECA.

Black Arbor 08-13-2018 08:32 AM

Hoping they re-release these at some other conventions as well, maybe they can change up the box art too to represent one of the sequels? I don't think the main turtle costumes changed between the movies, did they?

K Dubious 08-13-2018 08:57 AM

Well I finally opened my turtles and dio over the weekend and overall I am very pleased, but I did have a major issue with Leonardo's head. The bandana was glued on really bad and was glued down against his left eye...

I heated him up and removed and replaced the bandana, but since it was glued to the actual eye it removed the majority of the paint from that eye. The glue buildup made it extremely difficult to get the bandana placed properly, but the lack of paint on his eye is now completely an eyesore...

Hopefully getting a replacement will not be too difficult.

Pretty sure they did change quite a bit. The eyes, color of the skin and the patterns (they got more spots further and further into the series) all changed. I'm fairly sure that the costumes were all new (or at least heavily altered versions of the original) much like the Robocop costume was from the first film to the last.

Jim Henson's Creature Shop made the costumes for the first two movies while All Effects Company made the costumes for the third. While the turtle costumes changed from movie to movie, the costumes for the first two movies were mostly consistent with each other while the costumes for the third were noticeably different. I would say the biggest changes between the first two movies is that in the sequel, the Turtle's eyes are more prominent and their bandana colors are more vibrant.
