For Most collectors, it'll just be one more thing to put in a ziplock bag or leave in the box. Overall, I think it's a good "bang for the buck". It's actually a better deal than some of the regular 6" figures.

tierneygreen 07-21-2020 06:44 PM

Yeah, I think the second tentacle is their way of saying, "Oops, I didn't mean it the way it sounded." regarding that one tweet folks took and ran with. I mean, I'm good with the extras we're getting. I'm down for two, so far. Contemplating a third, but I'll have to see how the financial winds blow in the next few weeks.

Archangel 08-19-2020 03:45 PM

It looks like there hasn’t been much movement on the new tier.

That new head is kind of a mess- even if it's intended to be TriSentinel vs just a random way to display the face it really doesn't work. Very few posts around of folks being excited by it or pushed to make another purchase

Dr Kain 08-19-2020 05:46 PM

I just bought 3 Sentinels last week, so I'm tapped out.

Super Joe 08-19-2020 05:48 PM

Can the Sentinel get an "Extra Month" (given the world's shared predicament)? Unicron got an extra month. Why not Marvel fans too? Hasbro / Disney will love extra sales. Collectors would love a new round of freebies! What freebies you'd like to see?!?

1. Wild Sentinel "attachments" (attachable to any of the extra noggins)
2. Spiderman Sentinel repaint. With removable vinyl "paint spatter" stickers for figure
3. Tri Sentinel Arm set

If they wanted to make a really cool add-on, they should make a Master Mold head.
A big egg head like twice the normal size and comic accurate- that way, it'll work with both 6" and 3.75" Sentinel scales.
It'd also be nice to have a speaker part that snaps over that goofy red light on it's chest- the Sentinels had a speaker there that they spoke out of. I think that was first changed in the Days of Futures Past storyline.

Heeeey- that brick wall with wanted poster would be a cool add on too!

If they REALLY wanted to get crazy, they could offer metallic variants- and New Mutants variants in silver and blue...

We're getting a Master Mold head though...

Unicron was extended because it didn't make its goal. The Sentinel hit its goal in 24 hours.

Agreed yet Unicron didn't have a pandemic. I got a feeling many others still want to buy. For a proposed "Extended Month" to buy more Sentinels; an array of stretch goals can be economically achieved. Via an endless array of Wild Sentinels / attachments...

lol Well clearly the pandemic didn't stop the Sentinel from achieving its goal in the first day.

If someone hasn't bought a Sentinel by now, they probably aren't going to in a month. I had to work hard to acquire the dough to buy them and was able to do it in the alotted time, and that was to buy three of them.

Comedian 08-23-2020 06:17 PM

Well, I ordered one. Man does my credit card company love me this last month.

Phantomcrow 08-23-2020 06:26 PM

I kept myself to just 1 Sentinel. He will be my Master Mold to the 10 Toy Biz Sentinels I have. I have no idea how I am gonna display all of them. Plus I have to wait till I get the Haslab before I can build him a seat to sit in. ( cause I want him to sit correctly. I do not want to try and make a chair and it not sit in it correctly.)

optimuslivs4evr 08-24-2020 06:59 PM

Wow. 21,000 backers. Thats insane. Glad to see lots of xmen love. Its literally the one franchise that finally got me back into marvel legends after bowing out back in toy biz days

GizmoTron 08-24-2020 07:09 PM

2 of them will be mine. I've been tempted for a third, but that really puts me past my spending limit and there's a lot of other Legends and figures I want to buy in the next two years before we even get these guys.

Benn Roe 08-24-2020 09:06 PM

Enjoy your $7.8 million, Hasbro. It's gonna be a tough year waiting for my sentinels.

Dr Kain 08-24-2020 09:24 PM

Congrats to Hasbro on such an accomplishment I did not think was possible in a covid world.

I know some of you like to believe the world ended and everyone is in the poor house but that did not happen. Human history did not start when our generation was born. People bounce back, we always have. With no conventions to burn money on, of course these online sales are going through the roof. Marvel collectors have been growing in numbers thanks to the...............MCU......yup, I said it. They have been itching for a haslab. The fact x-men were overlooked for so long is also a major player.

Hasbro said that online sales were huge for them and they see that as a way forward. Everything changes, change with it or get left behind. Most toy companies are changing, now Mattel should have their site up soon and neca is offering more on their site than ever.

It feels like we are in and have been in another golden age of collecting, may it never end.

webz 08-25-2020 06:24 AM

Phew. This was a tough piece to resist. Looked phenomenal. Very excited to see people’s pics when these ship next year.

dukefett 08-25-2020 07:05 AM

Got my order in yesterday! I went for a couple; figured I can always sell if it's too much for my collection, but would be damn hard to get cheap again.

No doubt. I can’t wait for those that bought 5 or more to have these massive displays. I was always surprised hasbro never did a sail barge diorama contest. That would be fun to see with all the haslab offerings.

Mordiganne 08-26-2020 05:53 AM

Well, they're give everyone a month to cancel. Who knows what the final numbers will end up being.

If you would like to cancel your Sentinel for any reason, you have until 9/23/2020 at 11:59PM ET to do so.

I am having incredible remorse for not funding this figure. I know it is a huge long shot but, if anybody got a preorder and is having cold feet or anything like that, I am really hoping to still get this guy. I am definitely willing to pay more than the $350 but hoping to not get close to the $1000 on ebay and other sites. I also have some very expensive figures for trade if anybody is also a Transformers collector (Fans Toys Stomp and I backed the Haslab Unicron)... if anybody is willing to sell their preorder or knows a guy, please let me know. Thanks!

There will be a few of these available from retailers after release. Yes, it will have a mark up, but it’ll be there. I don’t see this skyrocketing to the $1000s next year. I’m guessing most retailers that have stock incoming will have them at the $450-$500 range.
