Ok skydive Batman (with Bruce head that never appeared that way) preordered from BBTS and catwoman and Batpod preordered from mcfarlane’s store.

Bring on the cinema stuff!

Batpod set is up. There's also a bundle with the Bale skydive figure. Runs about 80 bucks after the McFarlane discount code.

Find it kinda sad and yet fitting that the batpod comes with no bike gripping hands for the previously released Bale figures. Meaning if you have the Bale figure from the 6 pack set...you are totally hosed...as he came only with two fists.

what's the code?

Trivial Psychic 01-24-2024 10:09 AM

Mts10

Takes 10 percent off the top of the order.

Lobo's the same at $70. In comparison, the Batman with Batmobile at $75 seems like a steal, and that was only 1/2 year ago. However, I will still say McFarlane's stuff, when they do it right, is worth every penny. Lobo is VERY well done.

Trivial Psychic 01-24-2024 10:18 AM

On the plus side...I do like how Selina's "ears" flip down into her goggles. I was completely expecting them to be part of the sculpt, with a PE chase featuring them in the goggles down position.

ShabbyBlue 01-24-2024 10:20 AM

The bundle with Skydive Batman is now sold out

I guess that's why you'd need to get the Skydive Batman, so you can use the gripping hands he has.

Or, gripping the handlebar of a bike is for losers, Batman can ride a bike with clenched fists.

RedisPower 01-24-2024 10:26 AM

The price for the Batpod set is simply disgusting when you include the shipping cost; but at the least it comes with the GUNS!

StudioOneTwelve 01-24-2024 10:47 AM

That first promo pic of Catwoman leaning against the batpod looked great but now seeing the figure full on is like a clinic on bad McFarlane sculpting. Some parts work but overall it's a lanky mess with a bad face sculpt. And given how much I got with the $75 Batmobile 2 pack this batpod 2 pack at the same price is ridiculous. I know the Nolan movies have die hard fans out there but the only figure I'd ever be interested in would be Bale in the Batman Begins suit.

tagmac 01-24-2024 10:48 AM

Well, I ordered Catwoman after all. The Batpod does look cool, and it's smaller than the Batmobile.

I really am not interested in the platinum version unless I could get it at a good price, I have the normal version and it's a beautiful figure.

Krydion 01-24-2024 11:49 AM

The price just is too high for the Batpod at this point. As a reference, the motorcycles for The Batman ran about $30(thought you can find them now for less than 20) and a figure like Selina of Drifter Bruce ran for $20 each. So that's $50, which is acceptable to me. But the Batpod and Selina comes in at an extra $20, and I would expect both pieces are smaller. I suppose I'd rather allocate my funds to the upcoming Tumbler or something, for example.

Skydive Bats' Amazon link is for EE. Here's the proper linky

snake5289 01-24-2024 12:59 PM

It's a solid likeness of Bale but except for maybe a figure of the Begins suit I have no interest in anything related to the Nolan movies.

I've supported Mcfarlane verbally and as a paying customer since he got the DC license, but he has done nothing but piss me off since 2024 started.
His wack pricing and bizarre product availability this month has made me just not care about releases anymore. If he keeps this nonsense up, I'm just going to walk away from the line and be happy with what has been.
We had a good run.

Comedian 01-24-2024 02:46 PM

The price is higher than I hoped but not out of line. This is a single use vehicle with a new figure as well, all while exclusive to his site. The batwing was absurd as well. I just paid $54 for two 3.75” Star Wars figures. One of which is a repaint. That has me more ticked.

As I said in the super7 thread, toys are going ever higher in cost and value seems to waning. This is just the way it is. Not really much we can do about it. It’s this or….nothing. I’m not quite prepared for nothing yet so I’ll eat the cost for now.

A buddy of mine did that very thing after McFarlane made one of his favorite characters, The Spectre, an Exclusive AND behind a pretty ridiculous price wall. He could afford it. It just pissed him off THAT BAD.

See, Harbinger, that's why you're not greeter of the month like BlueMarvel. :)

I think Walmart's going to replace their greeters like they did with their cashiers, with something automated...it'll just be a mirror that says "Welcome to Walmart. Greet yourself!"

Darth Revan 01-24-2024 04:27 PM

Bale wasn't maskless for the Hong Kong raid, easy pass.

He's not even maskless when he fires that gun that the figure comes with.

Dude. Seriously. Get your eyes checked. That likeness is 100% Rob Lowe. There is no Christian Bale in there at all.

I remember the Movie Masters Bat-pod, which this one draws from, was $25-$30 at Target. The toy companies are pricing us out. I guess I'll direct my wallet elsewhere once I've had enough.
