I think time skip is on par with Legion of Super Heroes.

Bottom line is, the time skip could've been handled better.

I second that.

Is that another DC animation that's out?

xhavoc86 05-02-2012 03:06 PM

Kinda a big spoiler...

Don't Click if you don't want to know!

Trying to be vague soooo...I'm not sure what to make of this...but I think this is a pretty big indication of where things are headed...I think this is the big thing that happened in the time gap, which is why they haven't updated us on some of the previous members...

bmorr 05-02-2012 04:18 PM

what comic is that exactly?

Jlogano20 05-02-2012 05:31 PM

TheSymbiote 05-02-2012 05:48 PM

What does the Teen Titans comic have to do with Young Justice?

From the Teen Titans issue that was released today.

Its not like they craft storylines out of no where, the show (as do many other comic book animations) takes a lot of inspiration and pulls from the comics as a source...albeit with there own creative twist.

LXL_Guy 05-05-2012 04:01 PM

My oh my...

The latest episode was actually good. The story continues as we get to see what Konner, Gar, & M'gann are up to on Raan. Kind of formulated my own conclusions but I know why Konner dumped M'gann. What is even more shocking is that he dumped her. I also wonder about Gar's mother now that it was touched on. I didn't think it was possible for him to humanize his appearance either.

Then next weeks episode should be good as well since it should expand upon them saving a comrade fallen from grace.

Iceman 05-05-2012 04:06 PM

The tease for next week's episode has me impatient. This is why longer story arcs make better television and make you feel like you need to watch the next week. If they weren't building a larger story I would probably just drift in and out.

Crazy Jetty 05-05-2012 04:27 PM

I have to say I *really* love the relationship between Gar and M'Gann.
I know they're not true siblings, but it's really nice to see siblings who're affectionate and caring towards one another, when they're usually shown to be rivals.
Of course, M'Gann probably feels responcible for Gar, if not for his changing, then she probably has something to do with his mother's death (Or at least feels like it's her fault).
But all in all, seeing how close they are, is really heartwarming. Not every close relationship between a male and a female *has* to be a romantic or sexual one.

^ This as well.

I too like this older sister/younger brother relationship the two have.

Then I just remembered, I like that Conner called L'gann a jerk. That put a smile on my face.

warmachine6 05-06-2012 01:58 AM

okay so superboy dumps m'gann that bastard why he said that i yelled out loud "why?" hopefully reveald in next episode

xhavoc86 05-06-2012 11:07 AM

this episode felt like filler imo... but i do agree that Miss Martian's and Beast Boy's relationship is nice...

maybe im just tired of the Megan and Connor show (Superboy has been in every episode and Miss Martian has the second most appearance only because she wasn't in the premiere) other characters deserve screen time more than these two...

hrothgars 05-07-2012 08:13 AM

Is there a specific reason other than being a former lab rat why Superboy hates monkeys? I think I missed this earlier in series.

Long story short, MONQI robots by Professor Ivo.

...but more specifically...

In the episode "School", Superboy was having problems with Superman, he wanted so badly for Superman to acknowledge him but Superman avoided him constantly. They had a dead beat dad - son type relationship, even Bruce tried to get Clark to get more involved lol

Later, Black Canary is there trying to teach the kids combat training. And Superboy says she has no business teaching combat training to someone like him who has super strength, she challenges him and beats him over and over.

On their mission, thats when all his rage built up and then all the MONQI robots attack and he just associated his hate to monkeys lol

Those laughing black & green robo-monkeys? Yeah, I agree with Superboy. Those things are annoying. :)

Thanks.

I thought g2 was the rodimus/galvatron era and g1 took place before the movie

To be fair it's both as there was a cartoon known as generation two on on WB11 back in the early 90's. It was basically generation one repackaged to maket the baddass figures.

There's also the chronological generation two which is Rodimus.

Saw new young justice, I don't hate BB's voice actor now that it makes sense. I thought the kid died from the blood transfer.

Not at all. "G1" is everything that happened between 1984 and 1991. This includes the toyline (Japanese and US), cartoon (Japanese and US), animated movie, and comicbooks (UK and US).
Generation 2 is the subtitle for a toyline and comicbook that existed between 1993 and 1995.
There's some blurring in the UK, as G1 never ended the way it did in the US, and some of the "Late G1" toys over there got G2 repackages (And some even got released over here as proper G2, like Rapido, and the Aquaspeeders)
But Galvatron, Rodimus... they're still technically early G1, being introduced in the third year (And technically, they're among the first "true" transformers. They're some of the very first toys ever made specifically for Transformers)

That is correct.

That is entirely and factually incorrect. Rodimus and Galvatron are every bit as much G1 as Optimus and Megatron.

Iceman 05-07-2012 06:41 PM

But who decides this stuff? Was is Hasbro? To me it seems like the G1/G2 switch should be the movie. Then start naming the stuff after whatever you want. Just would make more sense.

generation 2 didnt really start until the 12 issue marvel comic came out.(my sig is part of the cover ironically). Generation 2 was marketed to sell repainted 1984-1985 toys. The tv show in question was just reruned episodes of the orginal show highlighting the repainted toys. Dont forget the use of cg pre beast wars:

A quick recheck on the topic says you're right. I always thought that was the second generation, made more sense to me, anyway let's not bring this up again, we've got a full page in the young justice thread dedicated to this now.

So how about that Black Spider?

It's all official Hasbro.
And it's all toylines that decides this.
The term "G1" wasn't even canon until a few years ago. It was fan created when Hasbro introduced Generation 2 in '93, as a way to distinguish the toylines.

Transformers (Original)- 1984-'91
Transformermers: Generation 2- 93-95
Beast Wars Transformers- 95-99
Transformers: Beast Machines- 99-2001
Transformers: Robots in Disguise (RiD) 2001-2003
Transformers: Armada- 2003-
Transformers: Energon
Transformers: Cybertron- -2007 (The three are commontly referred to as The Unicron Trilogy, or UT, or A/E/C for short)

Generally anything since, that's dealing with the "G1" characters, Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, Rodimus Prime, Galvatron, Starscream, Megatron, Fortress Maximus, as they were presenting in the toyline that existed between 84-91 is usually referred to as "G1. This tends to include Dreamwave comics, and IDW comics. And now with growing regularity G2 characters, such as Jhaxus, and Rapido, it's growing more and more common for them to get rolled into G1, as with the IDW comics.
So, the three seaosns of the cartoon, and the movie are absolutely not G2, as they predate the existance of Generation 2 by seven full years.

And I agree with Yourfacehere. Back to Young Justice.

TheSymbiote 05-12-2012 12:35 AM

We just watched the last episode of Young Justice, We think Miss Martian killed Queen Bee in some horrible way and that is why Superboy broke up with her.
