Yeah, a lot of old school stuff predates when I started watching wrestling. I didn't really appreciate it until the early 90s and then started getting into the late 70s/80s stuff from tapes. I thought the Royal Rumble was the coolest thing ever with Yokozuna winning by throwing Randy Savage out. Bob Backlund lasted in there for 2 hours and Berzerker hit him with a chair. Giant Gonzalez made his debut and eliminated Undertaker and he wasn't even a participant. LOL.

It was at Wrestlemania 9, probably one of my favourite Wrestlemanias of all time. It took place outdoors at Caesar's Palace. It was also when Crush was doing his thing with Doink the Clown and a second Doink came out and beat up Crush during the match. GG tried to smother Undertaker with chloroform and lost by DQ. Mr. Perfect got KO'd by Lex Luger with his steel plate forearm. Tatanka suffered his first loss against HBK. The Mega Maniacs (Hulk and Beefcake) took on Money Incorporated (Ted Dibiase and Irwin R Schyster). Beefcake had a mask on because IRS apparently hit him with the steel briefcase. At the end of the match, Mega Maniacs started passing out Money Inc's money. In the main event, Bret Hart faced Yokozuna. Fuji tosses salt in his face while he has Yoko in the sharpshooter. Yokozuna pins Bret for the title. Hogan comes out of nowhere and challenges Yokozuna for the title and beats him in seconds and becomes WWF champion again. One of my favourite events, ever. LOL.

Oh yeah, it was definitely one event. I remember I marked out big time for this event and it on to inspire many "galactic wrestling" storylines with my Ninja Turtles and He-man figures. LOL. Also, the reason why Yokozuna fought Bret was cause he won Royal Rumble. Bret fought Razor Ramon at Royal Rumble and it was also the Royal Rumble where Marty Jannetty had his revenge match against Shawn Michaels for doing the afformentioned superkick during the Barber Shop segment. :D

Damn, thechris is like a wrestling almanac lol.

WTF? So they build up Bobby Roode only to have him lose at the PPV then Storm wins it at the next Impact? I guess with TNA writing this should be no surprise but, what the hell? They are both deserving but, whats the point of the Roode push, to waste time?

Beyond that....the match was less then five minutes.

Dude, The Midnight Express rocked! Loved Jim Cornette's tirades and that tennis racket of his. Also especially enjoyed the fueds between ME and the Rock N' Roll Express. Beautiful Bobby Eaton was ok, but Stan was my favorite of that team.

Is that old school enough for you? ;)

I haven't watched it yet, thanks for spoiling it for me.

Storm's a better choice to win the title first than Roode. He's more over I think.

Now Roode can flip heel out of jealousy and win it from Storm.

Roode can get more over as a heel than a face because he lacks the personality Storm has.

Its all good dude.

I got through Hogan's bit, but then had to go to work just before Dixie's reunion with Sting.

Changing gears a bit, a little tribute to my favorite (modern) heel stable.
