wolverine2281 05-06-2012 05:43 PM

Found this. Apparently there were more things in Thor I never even new about

BigHanksCustoms 05-06-2012 06:50 PM

Sitting down for my third round right now!!

Can.t remember the last time I did a three-fer!!

Kaewin 05-06-2012 09:36 PM

I have seen a lot of comments on the Thanos scene but what did you all think about the last scene at the end of the credits. Our friends from outside the US didn't see it because they added it extra for us but what does the others think of it.

Oh and I know he died but didn't Clark Greg sign up for more pics? I thought I heard that in an interview a couple of months ago.

I did enjoy the movie but I still liked Norton better. His Banner was more awkward and introverted while Ruffalo felt more open to others and that is not Bruce.

LORD MARVEL 05-06-2012 10:13 PM

since Thanos will most likely be in A2.. does that mean the chitauri will be back aswell?

DogFashionDisco 05-06-2012 10:18 PM

Probably.

I'm pretty sure the last scene was the Avengers in whatever kind of restaurant Stark was rambling about after he fell back to Earth.

It is. If you stay till end of credits the team is eating shawarma.

DogFashionDisco 05-06-2012 10:32 PM

Ah, thats what he said. WTFuck is shawarma?

Yeah, I stayed all the way tonight, they were chowing down at the "Shwarma joint" pretty funny in an awkward way. None of them spoke, they were all still in uniform. Chomping away....I dug that Thor had like both cheeks full of food, eating like he did at the diner in his movie.

As for Ruffalo, I like his Banner much better than Norton's (which I loved).

Ruffalo was twitchy and paranoid, every time he walked by a shield agent he ducked his head down or turned away. It really worked.

I wouldn't count on it. So far Marvel has avoided playing the "extended edition/director's cut" double-dip game with everything except the Edward Norton Incredible Hulk (which had I think 19 minutes of some huge amount of deleted footage restored). Plus Joss Whedon has said the theatrical version IS his "director's cut."

Now he did say that we might get 30 minutes + of deleted scenes on the blu-ray/DVD. Apparently a good chunk of the stuff is more "Cap in the modern world" kind of stuff which was cut both because of time constraints, but also because it made the overall movie too much "about Cap" and possibly started interfering with stuff that they might want to cover in Captain America II.

Though that almost makes me wonder if they might hold the footage back and re-tweak it to use in Captain America II as it is.

its pretty much like you stated: http://insidepulse.com/2012/05/07/th...eleted-scenes/

Here's a wiki link: Shawarma

I kind of want to try it now. I t sounds kind of good actually.

MegaPrime33 05-07-2012 07:26 AM

Shawarma is really good middle eastern food. There was a place near where I went to college that I used to frequent. They made really good hummus.

I'm dying to see this movie again, I just wish I had the time. There is a bunch of dialog that I missed because the whole theater was cheering so seeing it again would be helpful.

neatogecko 05-07-2012 08:40 AM

Ok, for me one of the stars of the show was the Hellicarrier! Holy crap they certainly did that thing justice.

Zictor 05-07-2012 08:59 AM

Yeah I missed the "Puny God" line the first time because everyone was laughing. It annoyed me a bit!

LORD MARVEL 05-07-2012 09:12 AM

"i have grown odinson!!" great line from loki to thor

bmorr 05-07-2012 09:16 AM

ok. i think we can start talking about this movie more now and ive got some questions. So whats up with that council fury keeps talking to?( BTW the senator is Powers Booth) Ive never seen this in the 616 comics, but if any who read the ultimate comics, please chime in. My theory is that one of the people on the council could be this charming fellow:

Henry Peter Gyrich - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I was kinda disappointed they didnt give a hint of new/ future members though. Is Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver still tied up with the Xmen license? Or even Antman and the Wasp?

Howevor, with Thanos coming to Earth in the next movie, it does open the possibility of any cosmic level avengers(ms. marvel, capt. marvel, quasar, adam warlock).

The acting was awesome, although it took awhile for the film to pick up. but when the halfway mark came, man did it become thrilling. The part where Loki gets slammed on the floor by Hulk was hilarious. Stark was all cocky and pompous just like his original characterization(it worked). It was also neat showing the next evolution of the armor.

I dont know why people keep complaining about the cheering/clapping in the theater. I see this posted everywhere. Its part of the experience. Its no different than going to a play/broadway show. But thats just my two cents. I was lucky enough to be in a half full theater.

jveron 05-07-2012 09:35 AM

finally saw it. my brain exploded. best superhero/team movie yet. The thanos stinger is pretty damn ambitious but I am all for it. loved the very last stinger at the end of the credits, though i would've suggested the Halal Guys food cart. even Thor wouldn't be able to handle that hot sauce.

looking forward to my 2nd, 3rd and 4th viewings... THIS week.

Thanks for this, didn't realize that was Adam's soul gem in a sense, I did see the Gauntlet and the Eye of Agomotto when watching Thor.

FrankCastle 05-07-2012 09:48 AM

So are they not allowed to call the cube the "cosmic cube" due to liscensing issues too? (Fantastic 4)

FrankCastle 05-07-2012 10:04 AM

Can't wait for the movie poster... :)

proteus 05-07-2012 10:23 AM

Loved the film, great performances from the WHOLE cast!!! I really wasnt bothered that the Chitauri were a bit faceless, they were there to just get beat down!! Hahahaha!! My only real complaint/dislike is Cap's outfit,i REALLY think they should have gone with a modernised version of the WWII style stars n stripes torso with combats and army boots,i just think the all blue is a bit too cheesy superhero for my tastes!!!

SoundWave88 05-07-2012 10:41 AM

I was really looking forward to seeing Hawkeye more, so was a little bummed he was "taken out" so early for like half the film. But he was crucial for the SHIELD raid. Black Widow was great! I wish they would of had a Pym and Wasp cameo...can't wait for my neck viewing.
