probably an unpopular opinion here but...
Mcfarlane figures are trash. yeah the paint apps are good and sometimes the sculpt isn't terrible, but the poseability is horrendous. It would be so much better if Mcfarlane replaced their figures with statues you can't move. Their joints serve only to make them hard to stand up. And stand up is the only pose they will do, until eventually they do their only other pose - laying down. The toe articulation is so loose it's a bug. The joints are so crappy they don't move, stay or look good in any position other than straight. Look at the promo photos for a figure. If they didn't manage to get the figure in a compelling pose for the promo photos - what chance do you have? Sure if you like a bunch of figures standing straight up awkwardly, then Mcfarlane are for you. Otherwise this company is consistently biting off more than it can chew and trying to deliver figures that look good before trying to deliver figures that function properly. I just wish someone had told me this before i bought a bunch of these. I kept them in the box and slowly opened them over time, slowly realizing that they never display better than they do in the box, because the box is the only thing keeping them standing upright! Seriously, take it as a warning if your figures all come with a stand - they won't stand up on their own! Final beef with Mcfarlane: at first the cards included had neat comic art on them and they were somewhat cool. Then the cards became just a snapshot of the action figure itself! To me, the card was like the art on a carded figure - helps with display of the figure because you look at the comic art and your imagination connects the action figure to the character. The figure snapshot card is just a useless slap in the face. |
One Target in the area had an endcap full of Waverider, Midnighter Batman and the Animated Series Alfred (19.99 each). Far too many to count, in fact (probably close to 25-40 figures in total. Has my hopes up that I may be able to get some sale items after Christmas. The same Target had the MASSIVE Batwing and figure at half off ($19.99) I think. Wish I had somewhere to put it. In other news, one area WalMart hasn't stocked anything new since late spring/early summer. LOL.

so i finaly got that Wonder Woman in hand:
Pros: Good proportions (in the right areas) albeit slightly too tall. Love the classic-ish design. Decent amount of accessories to justify that 29.99 pricepoint. Great paint job on the flesh parts of the body. Cons: Head sculpt not terrible, but should be a lot better.(McFarlane just cant figure out how to make women look attractive I guess. They had Supergirl looking like one of the White Chicks) As expected the hair really hinders movement and the head seems to be sitting too low. Knee cut is hideous. I almost don't want to pose it using the double jointed knees. The arms are so sculpted in a way that the sculpt break up is so glaring when you swivel it from the biceps. As expected the "butterfly" shoulders are rendered useless by the lack of a range of motion and major gappage in the shoulder area. Lastly the lasso is basically a piece of gold string, not bendable. Might be better off with molded plastic one instead because its functionally useless. OVERALL SCORE: 3/5 I wanted to like this one so much more than I do but wow, McFarlane just has these glaring flaws in their figures that take a figure down a peg. (Gonna be gifting this one to a buddy of mine, because tis the season!) |
Honestly if this Batman V Superman Batman is half as good as I would like it to be I'm gonna be a very happy camper.

So a BvS wave? Makes sense I guess but I wish he jumped to '89/Returns instead.
So maybe Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Speed Force Flash, and BAF Doomsday? |

Softgoods cape. Maybe dome vehicle for him incoming?

The cloth cape kills it for me. Bummer.
|
Wonder if it's a repaint of the 60th Set JL one?

Guess the reports of Affleck no longer allowing his likeness to be used were true.
Farewell to this misbegotten universe! |

Congrats to those who wanted another Bat figure. |

I wouldn’t mind if McFarlane made 1/12 scale statues like how Kotobukiya did with DC ARTFX figures, tbh. Heck, they can have SOME points of articulation like the neck and shoulders, that’s it. I’d probably buy them all if they’re $20 each, tbh. |
And let's not forget that we (mostly) get ZERO extra hands. One fist and one open hand is STUPID.
