lol, without chinabay i wouldnt have the number of hand ninjas i have now.
but nice to see the new stuff getting early release in a manner of speaking.so after the vulture wave, how do things stand,is colossusnaut getting released in the next run?or is it gonna be end of the year?

ukmu 04-12-2015 01:33 PM

Godbless Chinabay!!!

TheLongestDay 04-12-2015 02:28 PM

Yeah man, I dont even mind the wait at least I know Im gonna get them. With most we would have no hope otherwise!

Im just missing a few key pieces now:

Elektra
Dark Spider-Man
Doc Ock
Thunderstrike

Theres a few others Id like but those are the essentials.

ukmu 04-14-2015 10:50 AM

Absorbing Man
Red Hulk
are the first two that come to mind that we are missing.
Not completionist at all though, so there are a lot I dont care for.

Starting Arnim Zola tonight!!! He is the LAST figure in what could be the worlds biggest 3.75" HYDRA army!!!!

I've stuck an IM2 War Machine hand there for now, but that is a much better idea.
As for Red Hulk, don't bother with the tiny MU Hulks, go for a TIH movie Hulk and paint him red. My first one arrived last week and he's got the height and articulation. My second should get here by the end of the week so I'll have him painted and have pics up by the weekend.

I use TIH regular Hulk with my MU stuff too - much better scale and look. Cant wait to see your Red Hulk!

Not sure what head to use though for Rulk, I want it to be different to Banner Hulk, but the Avengers movie Hulk head and the Avengers cartoon Hulk head were just too small.

Ive seen somebody use a MU Hulk head (one of the later ones not those early frankenstein ones!)

I too have seen this custom, however I do not have any other Hulks. Perhaps the new Vort Rulk head will fit.

.... Its beautiful. I wanted to do this on a smaller scale (25 figures tops) of plain phase one, phase two 501st or phase two 212th Clones, but the best versions of them are too expensive to army build for my taste.

I do plan on getting at least three of the new Ultron figures though, so I hope HTS has a promo code when the wave launches and they don't sell out immediately.

Seems easier to army build if you are stateside.some states have free shipping plus the fact many dont do "international" one guy on another group has 50+ BAF sentinels.another crossed his 3:75 universe with his joe universe and his collection is absolutely insane.i could have increased the numbers on some of mine if it wasn't for the "us only" policy some adopt.

ukmu 04-15-2015 03:42 AM

thanks for that pic....if my son sees it we will insist we push the foot solider count on our HYDRA army to 50.

Yeah the whole US SHIPPING only thing sucks! They aren't paying the shipping, we are. I dealt with that too living in Hawaii. Some wont there or Alaska even though it is the same to ship from anywhere in the US, it didnt matter...but yet they wouldn't.

Most of the HYDRA guys came stateside to here and some were MORE to ship than the figure price was.

I hate when they ONLY use the ebay global shipping policy and it is like $42 or £30 to ship a $14 figure!!!

It's madness, but I have found a good few that give free international shipping, although I assume Chinabay is the best place

Jimmyo 04-15-2015 05:42 AM

I would have loved to grab some of the G.I Joe figs and vehicles but I don't recall ever seeing them over here

Primacron 04-15-2015 02:32 PM

God damn global shipping programme!

I noticed today that FP has variable prices for the new MI wave, so regular Sandman and Beast are only £10.

lol, sorry dude this is just highlighting how your addiction to army building COULD spiral out of control.yup thats the hilarious thing,we pay the shipping so whats the ish?are people too dumb to figure out international shipping???with china bay the free shipping works 9 times out of 10,but i wouldnt trust free shipping from the states.would insist on tracking numbers etc.yeah what the hell is up with that overpricing of shipping on ebay?noticed that back in the early days of collecting mu.

I am jealous of that photo. And of that guy who has 50+ Sentinels. I ordered my first last week and it arrived broken. (the torso is what broke too, the piece that is hardest to find by itself)

Its not shipping that makes them too expensive for me. I'm in the US, but I simply can't find any Phase One TVC45 Clones (my favorite Phase 1 buck) for under $20. Loose or otherwise. 212th would actually be the most affordable to army build for me, since my favorite version is the Saga collection one and they're like $13 shipped at the most if you shop around and they're quite abundant.

not sure if i said welcome to the ark, zend,so hello and welcome =)
man that sucks,is it beyond repair?or can it be salvaged?you could ask advice on it over on the other threads, some good customisers there may have solutions.yeah 50 sentinels would be sweet in the collection.but even 3 is a good number,in the comics they patrol in groups of 3.those starwars set ups are amazing and ive nothing but love for anyone who dedicates themselves to their hobby in that way.truly.

Zend 04-15-2015 05:31 PM

Thanks! I'm not entirely sure on the Sentinel. The seller is going to refund it, and asked me to hold on to it for now while he checks to make sure it was insured before he has me send it back. I'm thinking its beyond repair even if I find a replacement torso, because the sockets that hold the arm/abdomen pieces snapped out and are stuck on the pegs. I could try to heat them a bit and pull them off so I could glue them back into place I reckon, but for now I'm going to wait until I hear whether I need to ship it back to get the refund or if he's going to send it and let me keep the parts. If I can keep it, I might leave the left arm out intentionally and get some old junky computer wiring I can cut up and paint to look like the cables from the arm were severed since the torso has a couple chunks of plastic chipped out on the left side anyways.

I'm definitely getting another one with the refunded money, they're too cool not to have at least one. I like the Masterworks ones too, but opted for the BAF since the paint job is outstanding and the articulated fingers and Omega Red tentacles make it just a wee bit better. A trio would be great to have, but that probably won't happen for awhile.

The guys who dedicate that much time and effort to their collections definitely deserve respect. I love seeing them, which is why i lurk on this thread despite not being in the UK. Get to see y'all's collections and posts like that Stormtrooper army!

Jimmyo 04-15-2015 11:39 PM

I have 3 BAF sentinels and one has a cracked upper torso which stops the arm from doing anything but hanging limp, I was going to try and boil and pop the torso to see if I could realign the arm and repair the crack but it does not seem possible

ukmu 04-16-2015 12:29 AM

busted ones |COULD be super cool in a display! Also, maybe take that arm off and add dangling wires and the like. It would look pretty cool in a big fight scene! I know, that you are like a lot of collectors and have them in boxes, so the display thing might not work.

Yeah the torso of mine got separated in half. What you could do is leave it as is, save the arm in case you do decide to try and fix the socket back in, but do what me and Ukmu said and dangle some wiring out of the arm port. You don't have to glue them in, there's plenty of room inside the torso so you can just slide them and they should stay on their own.

I was looking at this pic again and again and again......

It would GREAT to have a full Company of troops ( 100 ) but that is why we stopped at 30 troops. Thought about pushing to 50, but no way. It is funny because when you get a new figure in the post you are all like YEA!!!!! When you army build and it is on number ridiculous,, when one comes in your all like... meh, and check it for flaws then in the bag and the box. That said...if there were some offered i would sell a kidney to get more! Just am not seaarching them out one at a time anymore! Lots of five though.... well, that would be too tempting.

Anyone have a lot five?
