I wish MU figures were still that awesome. Yeah I still call them that and I'm not stopping anytime soon either.

It just has a vest on the web gear. Remove that and the suit looks just like a MIB. They would need to create need to change up the equipment to tool that though.

That's an awesome punisher. I use that Joe gun on the right for mine too. It looks badass.

I also wish they were still this awesome. hell, i was looking at Hercules as well. guy had jointed neck and wrists, and calf swivel on top of all the other standard articulation at the time. in terms of articulation, Herc was essentially the perfect MU figure mold. Everything went right in that buck.

I believe they could reuse it.
What they need is a rotund buck.

Yeah not much of a price difference there.

I need better lighting or to break out my camera the one on my tablet isn't that great. Vance FalCap Mcu motor cap and Terry. Dint spring for a lower chopper for cap bhut will get one when I buy the whole set I just needed the fig to see if it was worth it. Probly should have put antman instead of Terry but aw well.

IcantBseriouS 02-24-2016 07:34 PM

Pulled the figs back out & now I'm not sure if I'm in or out. Either way I have some new pix of some works in progress.
The MTF Bodies are amazing. The last pic is the Retaliation Trooper I was going to paint. Still may use just the head or just grab a green MTF head.

Still waiting for someone to do an archery contest between Hawkeye and Yondu.

Zend 02-24-2016 08:41 PM

Surprised I haven't seen someone post one of the Deadpool figures with the smiling half masked head posed like he's pissing on something. That's the first thing I did when I opened my X-Suit Deadpool figure last night. Since I have the ML Sentinel I got for free because it was packaged poorly and broke into numerous pieces fighting my few X-Men MU figures, I have his arm on the ground with Wolverine posed as if he just cut it off, and I'm going to have this Deadpool "contributing to the fight" by pissing on the arm laying on the ground. Just need to make an effect that can pass as a stream of piss.

Ive also been doing some custom work brainstorming. I want a What If? Venom possessed Punisher, but I'm not sure what base to use. The new Black Panther figure is a strong candidate because the claw hand would work perfectly and I would just have to do a head swap, right hand swap (so he could hold a gun), lower leg swap, and then repaint. But that might not be bulky enough to be accurate.

Thinking about getting some GI Joe 50th anniv Steel Brigade figures while they're on clearance at TRU and then painting up in SHIELD colors as well.

Edit: Yeah, I ws going off memory for Venom Punisher, looking at a picture now Black Panther would be way too scrawny. This is the image I would base it off

Once again, those MTF figs look sweet!

Add shades and a fez to Kingpin and you have a Shadow King.

Webgear? MTF? wtf!?

I hate when y'alls start throwing out new jargon.

En Sabah Nerd 02-24-2016 10:11 PM

The easiest way Hasbro could make the Mr. Knight look, assuming they actually are doing that look, would just be to repaint the same body they used for Professor X with a new head. That and some truncheons like Mockingbird's. It would be pretty pathetic and/or horrible if Hasbro used the Chameleon body, the clothes under the jacket don't match at all and (from what I've heard) that figure has bad leg movement.

redfox 02-24-2016 10:12 PM

Stumbled back upon the MU 3.75 SDCC 2014 poll:

Ulik, Dormammu, Yondu, Armored Spider-Man, Vision, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), Gamora, Morbius, Triton, Living Laser

Kinda funny how we got the "winners" and "losers" at the same time.

I miss those old What If? stories. I was hoping that marvel select Watcher would be re-released.

Please Hasbro, never release that awful Chameleon buck again.. Use the professor X body... or destro or whoever it was in the GI Joe line.

When I say a Maximum Carnage SDCC box set, I mainly mean the obscure villians. Like Carrion, Shriek, Doppleganger, Demogoblin, and 90's firestar.

Molten man eh... wow that was probably the last character I want.. but I'll still buy it lol. That pic of him eating a wiener just looks wrong.

Agreed. I really wish they would use that buck more, like on an eddie brock venom or blue beast.

snake5289 02-24-2016 10:53 PM

I replaced Dark Spider-Man's legs with some off of that body type. It makes a world of difference. Had to repaint it all black those since I didn't have any of the sparkly purple though.

I think it would make a pretty stellar Eddie.

Zend 02-24-2016 11:42 PM

@Kernel The problem is that Hasbro would likely be jerks and put Venom and Carnage into the pack with Shriek, maybe Doppelganger, and yet another Spidey and then say "Nope, no retail release for these guys!".

Yeah, I miss the What If? series as well! Last con I went to I picked up a stack of them, they're pretty cheap unless you want the Venom possession ones. Venompool is especially expensive.

That Hercules buck is awesome, it could be used for a lot of stuff! Just by taking the gear off and giving him a custom head with long hair you could turn it into a fairly accurate Conan from What if Thor fought Conan the Barbarian! He would be missing the studded belt, and the arms wouldn't be accurate, but it would still look cool.

Well...I know who's house I'm robbing tonight. :-)

Btw, just putting this out there, but I have a personal distinction system for the Hasbro Marvel figures:

Legends=6 inch figures

Universe=Properly articulated 3 3/4 inch figures

Infinite(series)=Badly articulated 3 3/4 inch figures

Just a distinction I developed.

Lol, Nightwing is just passed out drunk by the Tardis. Guess all that secret agent stuff finally got to him.

A classic Venom on the Herc buck would be kick ass, we have a few good Venoms to choose from in the scale but none are really MU quality (some come close though). I don't think blue-hairy Beast would ever be done again unless it was just a re-release of the one we got in MI, they've already sculpted him for that and they're Hasbro so taking the cheaper route is their nature.
