I finally nabbed a Punisher, at the flea market not Walgreens but that actually saved me from paying sales tax. Despite his lack of trigger fingers and that white shotgun I really like it. Even just having him carry the rifle by that handle can feel expressive.

i still have not ran into him in stores yet... so far my only 2 remaining needs this year are deadpool and Punisher. I'm not even worried about punisher, because i know with time and being paitent these toys will show up in store, however i can't say the same for deadpool.

I can't follow this for crap. There are just way too many changes that it doesn't even feel like an X-Men comic. So Cyclops dumped Jean and is now in love with Emma... does Emma not know that Scott ditched his son and wife for Jean? Magneto working for Shield while pretending to be an X-Men (not like that has ever happened before). Oh, and they apparently have had their powers weaken... sure why not. Prof X is dead again? Yeah, that'll last. Also, where are Storm, Rogue, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Kitty? They don't even make any mention of them. Illyana got her powers back and is an adult again, cool I guess. Where is the fun? Everything seems to be taking itself super serious and the artwork is horrible. Where is the color? I can't even tell sometimes which character is talking.

*cough* BENDISCIDE *cough* ;)

Couldn't stand seeing hawkeye as murdock so i pulled a random head from my fodder bin for his unmasked head. Painted over the pale flesh tone and whited the eyes ( he is blind after all :) ) and now he has an unmasked head i like.

That's funny because I never heard of him until I got these books and all the big name reviewers I have looked at since make Bendis sound like a modern day Denny O'Neil, Frank Miller, and Alan Moore. I started reading the first book I have and I feel like they meant the current version of Miller and Moore that don't know how to write for jackshit. How is this guy so highly praised that Marvel is now letting him do everything?

AFU 11-27-2016 04:25 PM

Just pre ordered Black Spiderman and Shocker from the Sandman BAF...Very excited some figures this wave...hope we get reviews soon...

Bendis is usually the writer that screws everything up... i can't remember the last time he was praised.

So im just doing a little guess here, but when does everyone think this new spider-man wave should start shipping out. im talking about for those who ordered the entire wave via bbts,dorkside, etc....

im hoping before christmas so i can have my fiance order me 2 extra figures for my MOC set.

Dang, I thought the 12 bucks I spent was a good deal! Such a cool figure.

If anyone is on the fence, now is definitely the time.

Late birthday gift to myself. These were the only figures I wanted from the wave. I'm good with my Toybiz Sandman and have no interest in Kamala Khan and the Spider-Men.

@Dark

That Goblin Queen is pretty wild! I'd be all over that as a Hasbro release. Nice appropriation of Wrarrl's cape...cool that the custom maker added "in-house/line" accents.

@rich

Nice haul, but that Shocker does not top the TB sculpt IMO...better articulation, but Hasbro missed by a lot.

I agree. Toybiz Spider-Man rogues gallery are some of the figures that still hold up well. I like this new Shocker but I agree with you. I'm still keeping the Toybiz version.

I could not agree with you more there. I have contemplated customizing my Classics Shocker several times so I could improve the arm articulation, but the sculpt is so detailed and unique it more than likely wouldn't come out very good, so I haven't touched it out of fear of ruining it.

I'm still looking forward to this Shocker, as he is one of my favorite street level villians, although I'm a bit disappointed that Hasbro didn't do more with it. The odd color choice for the effects, along with the painted quilt design is a huge miss IMO.

@rich & @Triv

Hasbro's offering isn't the "worst" post ROML figure I've seen by them (*cough* Claw *cough*), but there were some head scratching decisions made here. I hate criticizing figs I don't have in hand, buuuut...the tooling on the shock-gauntlets is cool, however, not matching the texture or design with that of the knee-pads creates a terrible optic. The head sculpt, especially the eyes, is a disappointment. And finally, if you are going to avoid a sculpted quilt print on the costume (I don't really blame them, as this would necessitate a new mold), at least do a better job with the paint/concept...just looks off.

Not the worst, but definitely not a fig that will retire (or prevent me from eventually buying) TB's effort.

Spyne98 11-28-2016 07:16 PM

Damn! That's a sweet custom!
