i know its unlikely but with the new sandman BAF sandman wave it would be cool if later on , we got a figure where that figure comes with normal arms and hands for sandman, be a way for them to make me buy that figure. I would like to see a classic moon knight ... but yeah an idea..

Good idea. Though I vote for Firestar to be in the next Spider-Man wave. Or Dr. Octopus, though I see him as more BAF potential. Mysterio or Morlun, or Spot or Vulture?

Who else is left from the big name Spider-Man villains?

Smythe, Tombstone, Spider Slayers, Grey Gargoyle, Kaine, and ( as horrible as is to mention ) Grey Goblin.

TheBlueMarvel 12-08-2016 03:48 PM

The only Sandman I really want is the Frightful Four version...

Byrnes 12-08-2016 03:49 PM

Kingpin, Prowler, Tombstone, Firestar & Mary Jane would be nice.

I thought that too, but after seeing more pictures of him (some from reviews and such), he's definitely bulkier than I thought. He might be bulky enough for a 70's Avengers Beast.

Previously, I would have thought that kind of thing to unlikely to the point of near impossibility, but after Juggernaut wave Kitty Pryde came with the classic Onslaught head, I think it's definitely within the range of possibility, even if still a tad unlikely.

EDIT: Accidental double-post. Ignore (and, if you're a mod, delete) this post.

Having in hand, I do not feel that he's bulky enough. That is of course just my own personal opinion, and your mileage may vary on it. I think the sculpt would work great if it was more bulky though, with some retooling on the head of course.

Was in Walmart earlier...
Now imma preface this with...I've only seen a Black Panther ONCE (two of them) in the wild..and i have NEVER seen a Nick Fury/Shield Agent.

Today i saw 6 Black Panthers and 13 Shield Agents...they MUST have gotten in cases of just those figs.
They also had an assortment(random figs) of the last 4 to 5 waves of legends
I've never seen that many Legends figures at once in a Walmart.
(they were in 4 different places)

I can think of plenty that neither ToyBiz nor Hasbro has touched yet. Stilt Man, Mr. Negative, Overdrive, Lady Bullseye, Calypso, Devil Dinosaur, Stegron, Scorpia, Menace, The Tinkerer, The Owl, Swarm, Vermin, Typhoid Mary, Tombstone, Smythe, the Spider Slayers, Carrion, Cardiac, the Burglar (Uncle Ben's killer) and the Life Foundation Symbiotes (who I think we may start getting in the next year or so, since two of them appeared on Marvel's figure polls this year.) Maybe even a few Ultimate versions of some of Spidey's villians, such as Venom and Carnage, Electro, or the laughably bad Shocker.

Then there's the sometimes allies...guys like Cloak, Dagger, Prowler, and of course the evential ToyBiz do-overs like Bullseye, Moon Knight, Kingpin, Demo Goblin, Scorpion and maybe even a new costume or two in there as well (such as Black Cat's current crime boss attire, or the new Venom.)

Looks like the rest of the GOTG2 wave was revealed today, with a new MCU Starlord, MCU Drax, MCU Yondu closing out the wave...

Hasbro’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Marvel Legends Hit Stores This Spring (Exclusive Reveal) | Nerdist

I honestly have no interest in this wave whatsoever, but I may end up picking up that new Star-Lord since the likeness of Christopher Pratt is so much better than the original.

TheBlueMarvel 12-09-2016 08:50 AM

25% of the country's population is comprised of children. Children lack impulse control (not to mention, something to do) and rarely appreciate the value of things. Despite not having incomes, many kids have considerable access to wealth in the form of their parents via the all powerful "nag factor" (I actually believe that is the nomenclature used in marketing parlance: "nag factor"). Hooking kids on Spiderman not only secures future dollars, but it gives Disney a mainline to the wallets of millions of parents. This is a marketing strategy that Radio Disney (and Disney as a whole) has employed for decades, long before acquiring Marvel. Corp marketing aimed at children is relentless, ask any parent how many things their kids request/demand based on some silly little toy ad or jingle. Given Disney's track record and the state of child-marketing, I'd be surprised if we ever saw an adult Peter on-screen...maybe if Kang/Immortus (for which, we desperately need modern figs!...or a fig, at all, in the case of Immortus AKA grown-up Kang) shows up in a flick, otherwise, I doubt it.

...one last thing, we adults that participate in this hobby are all examples of how successful marketing to children can be. Some of us have been collecting, in some way, since childhood...some of us have collected toys for 30 or 40 years. As much as I want an adult Peter in film, were I Disney, and considering the track record of success for this business model, I'd be constantly rebooting Spidey also.

Dr Kain 12-09-2016 08:58 AM

Darkhawk is the only thing in the Guardians wave I will buy. Oh thank the gods.

hmmm no gamora, boy does she need an update , no mantis bit disappointed, if that's all for movie figures , be cool if we got another wave.
EDIT- Anegla and Quill seem the interesting ones to me and maybe darkhawk... I might have to wait for sequels XD then again glad that Groot was the BAF of the first film , which is a good thing ... unless hasbro do it for wave 2, which i doubt

Damn, I was really hoping for a comic version of Yondu. That Starlord is a thousand times better looking.

There is going to be a second wave, maybe Gamora, Mantis, and Nebula will be in that. I was suspecting we would see both a Yondu and Starlord in one of the two waves, and I'm not overly surprised at another Drax. I'm still holding out hope for a Collector (either Comic or MCU) in wave two.

I hope that's the case, because I need a good Gamora and Nebula.

As it stands, I'm glad that we've got another wave where I'm only gonna get two, maybe three figures (Angela and Sam!Nova are the locks; Darkhawk is a maybe; Drax might also be in the running - not big on the perma-scream face, but the figure overall looks pretty nice). After all the 2016 waves where I've ended up buying over half the wave (and completing the BAF), I could use some recuperation time. :D

warmachine6 12-09-2016 10:09 AM

just found this
Exclusive First Look at Hasbro's Spider-Man: Homecoming Vulture Figure - CBR

Not a huge fan of the design.. also the wing parts are BAF items etc

AFU 12-09-2016 11:59 AM

IMO, this is an awful BAF Vulture...That's ok, can save some money on this wave...

So far im just getting darkhawk from the new movie waves unless theres a jogging pants and sports midriff top Marrisa Tomei fig :D.

Tim 12-09-2016 01:57 PM

I am almost certain that im in the minority here but i kinda Like the Vulture as what Dr.Kain i would rather have a Comic Style vulture over this one but Hell i am probably going to get him. Isn't Shocker in this movie also?
