I need Adam Warlock to make Crimson Commando and the cape will complete my classic Drax (as he should be), Triton with Falcap's head for Super Sabre, and 2 Rage to make Redstone and Lei Kung the Thunderer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I'm seeing a Namor body with Zemo legs and a Strange cape, correct? And is that head the head from Vort's shop? Because I may end up attempting that myself.

The head, cape and boots came from Vort. However, Zemo's boots would definitely work. I didn't have a Zemo at the time I made SoS, or else I would have used them (as it stands, they'll now find a home on a Conan-style evil wizard I'm working on).

As for the legs, I think they came off a Daredevil. That's why his pants are darker than his cape. I hate painting joints for fear of it rubbing off, so if I find a figure with a close enough color, I settle for it.

He's a fairly easy figure to do (even though sanding the scales off Namor's trunks was a pain). :)

If you don't mind me mentioning it, have you seen the Strike Force Trooper from Zica's New Adventure People kickstarter? The first time I saw him, I thought "Super Sabre".

Regarding the boots, Ah, I see. So I gather those are the Medium Male "Boots" with Cuffs added, as I don't think he has a set with that style of cuff included. And good idea with the legs as well. Looks like I'll have quite a bit of materials gathering before I can make one of my own.

Good stuff Villano! And welcome to the Ark. As for a pitchfork, I have seen Playmobil ones...they might work?

Got my flight stands in yesterday, a dozen for less than 20 bones shipped! Great tip from Oscar. Now I need to start getting more stands.

No I haven't, but I realized, almost by accident, that Tritons boots and gloves are exactly like Super Sabre's, and it is a shame to waste a perfectly good pair of goggles.

And you KNOW that I'd love this!!!!
Been away for days and just read back over the last few pages. Cool stuff. Love the Goddess of thunder pic from Kerns and a late welcome to Mordiganne.

Got my batch of customs off Pilkster last night (and spent a while at his house drooling over his collection and work) VERY happy with these. Now got him working on another 7 or so for me. Lovely man.

He also hooked me up with lady death. I know she is basically a statue, but she is more than enough to be longingly gazing at deadpool. I'm a happy chappy

Sithlord1963 03-09-2016 02:49 PM

Hi Oscarv,
kind of new here but been around on Rebelscum Forums for a long time. Where did you get the Deadpool katana's? Looking for something along the same lines for my Movie Deadpool Custom and the MU and GI Joe Ninja weapons don't look quite right.

En Sabah Nerd 03-09-2016 03:20 PM

So yeah Hasbro clearly you're right in saying that the 6" line is the better developed more sought after scale for collectors, that clearly explains why at my TRU today there are still a plethora of Misty Knight and White Tiger toys clogging the pegs alongside everyone from the Cap wave who isn't Taskmaster or Scourge but then there aren't any of the 3.75" figures left.

Villano 03-09-2016 03:23 PM

UrsaMagnus, he has "Cuffed Boots" as a set. The picture shows boots with the cuffs attached, but they are separate pieces. It's cheaper than purchasing the boots and cuffs individually (unless, of course, you need the glove cuffs for something).

EDIT: I tried to quote you, but I got a "New Members Can't Post Links" message again. Which is weird since there are no links in my post.

Oscarv 03-09-2016 04:41 PM

Silthlord, I can't be 100% certain what fig they came from, as they came in a big bag of mixed weapons from eBay. But it just so happens that I have a couple spare that you can have if you want? Pm me your address and I will post them out to you

It's great stress relief and I can make them exactly how I prefer character and/or costume wise. Eventually Hasbro is going to run out of known/popular characters to make anyway. However, for those of you that don't/won't make customs or just want to buy & collect I feel for you.

I love doing customs too but I started a new job 4 months ago sometimes working 6 days a week 50+ hours... Just don't have time to customize anymore but hopefully I'll get some soon. You are right tho it's a ton of fun and a good stress reliever.

Yeah it's that way here too. Hopefully we get some good 3.75" stuff soon.

uhh do bears shit in the wood! saw it straight away, epic, not just saying it but this is going to be the best version of Spidey yet, webshooters, utility belt, just needs the webbing underarms and it will be full retro.

Harbinger 03-10-2016 03:13 PM

Did they ever make a julia carpenter spider woman in mu?

Ninjinister 03-10-2016 03:38 PM

Finally found a Walgreens that had more than the stupid dollar store/drug store type toys but nothing in this scale for Marvel unless you count the Hiro Hamada that was hiding way in the back on a peg behind 6 Detective Mode Batmen. But I did see a Superior Spidey for Hero Mashers... why the hell are we the only ones to not get this guy!?
