I know it's been said a million times, but seriously, kudos to Hasbro on the recent and upcoming Marvel 3.75" stuff. Each and every figure since the rebranding has been awesome.
It's too bad I can't afford any of them :/ |

Basing the figure with a primer or a base coat and then using a sealant after finishing painting also helps.
Also sanding in and around areas of the joints with a dremel or an exacto/model knife also prevents paint rub. It looks good you just need to do some work to prevent paint rub. And the bicep you could try heating it or use some floor polish to tighten it. |
Preliminary sculpt work on a new custom. Can anyone guess who she is?

Cool haul man, you cant go to a comic con without buying any comics, thinking of going to the Birmingham one next week. How much was Lizard if you dont mind me asking? saw one for 20 quid last week that i was very tempted by. |
Nice haul Oscar.... There are are few good Marvel 3.75" groups. I saw your haul on one already before coming here. If there are any better ones I don't know about them.., try Marvel Universe Customz (note:customz is with a zed not an s) is a good one too. What's with your Unicorn kick lately?!? Figures and comics in a fortnight posted.... Are you man crushing on him? ;)
Saw someone (who is here too) post a pic of a Hydra goon (captain america: the first avenger hydra attack trooper #12 comic variant) ---(A.K.A.- the GREATEST thing EVER made in plastic)--- with a Force Awakens old Han build a weapon riffle. It looks ace and is funnily enough, the FIRST thing my lad said when we got old Han.... "Oh cool Dad, we can use THAT gun with our HYDRA army!" |

Thanks for the comments and help, folks.
Disassembling and washing the figure in warm soapy water is the very first thing I do. Typically, I've not had any kind of issues with this before. But for some reason the color Red has never liked me much. As for the arm joint, I have no idea what's going on. Quite frankly I gave up on this and chalk it up to a failed experiment. I salvaged some parts from it (gloves, boots, head, and belt) and tossed the rest. I'll try again in the future with something different. As for the star, it's a decal from a Pinewood Derby racing set. My boys had their race this past weekend and these stars were left over unused. So I thought I'd give it a try and it worked pretty well. Good to know for the future. |
