Here's another shot of Sin Eater along with The Owl and Son of Satan.

That SOS looks awesome!

I know it's been said a million times, but seriously, kudos to Hasbro on the recent and upcoming Marvel 3.75" stuff. Each and every figure since the rebranding has been awesome.

It's too bad I can't afford any of them :/

Looking forward to seeing the final copy!!

Glad to see a positive comment!! I'm really looking forward to the upcoming Black Panther/Agent 13 two pack. Hopefully we'll hear some info on it in the upcoming weeks.

Saw a Thor pack in target today but the card was in terribly condition. Not to mention she Thor's boobs hadna great deal of paint scrapinhg. Is it me or is this particular Thor head extremely happy looking.

Despite using Krylon Fusion Red for the body and the same Model Masters Acryl I always use for my minor touch-ups, the red keeps coming off every time I touch the figure. Couple that with the fact that for some reason now his right arm WILL NOT stay firmly attached at the bicep swivel and keeps dropping off... yeah. This is a no-go. But I think my overall concept for his construction is solid. The parts in this scheme look good and he does indeed look like the character he's supposed to be.

Ah, well. Live and learn so that next time I'll do better.

Wow that looks great, I love seeing the customs on here. Did you wash the figure first with warm soapy water? Dove soap works great to wash off the oil that the figures are coated with. I've made that mistake and the paint will rub off. I've also made the mistake of not using acrylic paint, not good.

mrdecepticon 03-13-2016 11:51 AM

Basing the figure with a primer or a base coat and then using a sealant after finishing painting also helps.

Also sanding in and around areas of the joints with a dremel or an exacto/model knife also prevents paint rub.

It looks good you just need to do some work to prevent paint rub.

And the bicep you could try heating it or use some floor polish to tighten it.

Preliminary sculpt work on a new custom. Can anyone guess who she is?

I think he looks like robert zdar. For referance zdar played the criminal conan in tango in cash, maniac cop in the maniac cop movies and took over for roddy piper in the frogtown seguel.

Kernel 03-13-2016 12:38 PM

^ "you broke HIS jaw?" I gotta watch that movie again lol

Good guesses, but no. It's definitely a Marvel character. Also a pretty obscure character. Most of her hair hasn't been added yet. She's a long haired blonde.

This would be a good game/idea for a contest.

LordMudd 03-13-2016 01:31 PM

I got my Triton for my custom today. Walmart #3 restocked big time.

CCC.

Also, Liverpool comic con haul

http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...psib4ioejt.jpg

Cool haul man, you cant go to a comic con without buying any comics, thinking of going to the Birmingham one next week. How much was Lizard if you dont mind me asking? saw one for 20 quid last week that i was very tempted by.

ukmu 03-13-2016 02:17 PM

Nice haul Oscar.... There are are few good Marvel 3.75" groups. I saw your haul on one already before coming here. If there are any better ones I don't know about them.., try Marvel Universe Customz (note:customz is with a zed not an s) is a good one too. What's with your Unicorn kick lately?!? Figures and comics in a fortnight posted.... Are you man crushing on him? ;)

Saw someone (who is here too) post a pic of a Hydra goon (captain america: the first avenger hydra attack trooper #12 comic variant) ---(A.K.A.- the GREATEST thing EVER made in plastic)--- with a Force Awakens old Han build a weapon riffle. It looks ace and is funnily enough, the FIRST thing my lad said when we got old Han.... "Oh cool Dad, we can use THAT gun with our HYDRA army!"

Winnah! The second layer of sculpt is still curing or I'd post an updated pic.

Cool figure. You did a great job on it (is that star painted or a sticker?). It's a shame about the paint rubbing off. I typically do 2 coats of primer and 2 of finish. Usually that works, but I once had the paint rub off the face of a figure. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased. I had to scrub all the paint off the head and start over again.

UrsaMagnus 03-13-2016 05:20 PM

Thanks for the comments and help, folks.

Disassembling and washing the figure in warm soapy water is the very first thing I do. Typically, I've not had any kind of issues with this before. But for some reason the color Red has never liked me much.

As for the arm joint, I have no idea what's going on. Quite frankly I gave up on this and chalk it up to a failed experiment. I salvaged some parts from it (gloves, boots, head, and belt) and tossed the rest. I'll try again in the future with something different.

As for the star, it's a decal from a Pinewood Derby racing set. My boys had their race this past weekend and these stars were left over unused. So I thought I'd give it a try and it worked pretty well. Good to know for the future.

Hey ursa try using that cp daredevil in the next venture. Only have to paint the boots and gloves and viola...one you wont have to paint a whole body red. ;)

That 2 pack daredevil IS awesome, especially for customs. I think I've parted it out for a Shang chi and werewolf by night. That pack is on eBay for $10 shipped.
