Question about Vulture: will the figure itself come with no wings at all or like, smaller replacement wings? It would be somewhat lame for them selling you an incomplete figure.

I'd imagine probably no wings at all.

Boo. Can't say I'm surprised after the SamCap debacle though. I do love the figure though so I may have to shell out for the whole wave. I'm so shocked they actually made Vulture look badass.

In anticipation for the upcoming waves, I've been doing a bit searching for some alternative figure effects that will work well with some of the new recruits. The first is from the S.H. Figuarts series, which is known for it's spectacular effect pieces. The other is from the Saint Seiya line, which I honestly know little about, but the effect pieces are pretty phenomenal. Thoughts or any other ideas?

I'd love to use those fire effects with Ghost Rider but I don't really have the extra space for them.

Those green swirly effects would probably look great with Dr. Strange.

They also have the swirly effects in purple/lavender.

That dio is sick man! You need to do a tutorial. Is that the stock AOA sabertooth, or custom?

Where do you all find those effects like the flames and such? Do they sell the 6" blank figures?

Those effects and the blank bodies are by S.H. Figuarts, and you can find the effects pieces for pretty reasonable prices on Amazon. The blank bodies are a bit more expensive though. They are doing reissues of them, however, so that should drive the price down a bit.

Those flame effects have become a major staple in many figure collections. Very versatile and fit with many different characters.

There's a pic of those two effects used together that would be perfect for Strange.

Also check Ebay. There are some effect pieces that are priced ridiculously low. There are also Knock-offs of these effect pieces that are cast in pretty unique colors.

I currently use the Saint Seiya: Phoenix Ikki fire-bird effect with my Legend's Phoenix.

I'm thinking of buying a Tamashii Act 5 display stand. Does anyone know if they could take the weight of the ML Falcon or any of the Iron Men and War Machines?

They could take the weight, but the better question comes to whether or not the arms could actually grip around the figure. Most MLs are too thick for the stands to work right. You'll either need to put them in a pose where the stands can keep them up by their leg or have it keep them up from beneath their crotch area.
