@Hasbro

You are right about youthful idolization of heroes. I'd take it a couple of steps further and say that humans look to iconic "figures" -Ha! Punny!- and find themselves aspiring to be like those heroic personalities. Whether the icon is biblical, political, familial, or a product of the imagination...we chose these personalities and, to many of us, these characters represent the most altruistic (sometimes otherwise) virtues we hold dear. 'Idol'-making is what we have done as humans since thinking became a thing. lol

Buuuuut....who says you can't make an R rated Ragnarok??? Or another Blade (with Wesley, tired of youthful ageism JK!)? I think adult fans should be rewarded, every once in a while, with a Deadpool. I actually think we are about to see a growing trend of R super-flicks!

The Sandman wave has shown up my at TRU. I went to TRU every day this week except Friday and they didn't have the wave at all. I go there yesterday and they only had Spider UK and Jackal left. SON OF A BITCH!!!!! It does me absolutely no good to pick up two of them when I will still have to get the case from BBTS. And of course it figures that they get the wave in on the ONE day I couldn't make it in. ARGH!!!!

it's always the scalpers.... they either get there super early, or have an insider as to when the toys are being put out. im also sure some of the employees take stuff for themselves to buy later on and possibly scalp on ebay as well.

SymbiSpidey 12-11-2016 10:20 AM

Just got Marvel Legends Jackal from Amazon (along with SHF Super Saiyan Vegeta but that's for another topic lol).

This figure is gonna be slept on heavy, and I can already see it. But damn, I'm impressed. The details are really good. Paint is somewhat basic with some light shading here and there, but I can live with that. This buck would definitely make a pretty good Werewolf by Night (please and thank you Hasbro!). The upper torso would make a good Beast I think, but the legs and arms are probably too thin. I think a happy medium would be the Jackal torso and everything else just a bulked up version of what we have here. Very happy with this figure, and knowing how late my area is to the game when it comes to Marvel Legends, it'll probably be my only one from this wave for a while.

hasbroherofan 12-11-2016 10:45 AM

I could see the body being reused for a Legends beast with similar proportions to the 3.75 inch one.

Or they are just passionate about their hobby and check in at their local stores whenever they have some free time and are in the area. One can't hit stores only once every two weeks and always expect to find what they are looking for.

Maybe.........or they use the sentry body with jackals feet and hand and a slightly newe hair sculpt on the ankles, forearms and chest?

true... but it sucks when and if you see some person grabbing all of the good stuff and multiples of them purely for selling on ebay and nothing more.

i've been hunting for a deadpool since the release of this current X wave, and i have yet to EVER find one. i've seen just about every character from the wave except him. that tells me scalpers are on the prowl. the whole deadpool rage is over, the movie is long gone to blu ray. there should be no reason why someone can't find one at all ever in stores but they are readily available on ebay for $60-80 bucks.

Thank you very much, Tim. Just grabbed the whole wave for sixty-eight bucks! This delayed gratification thing is paying dividends!! Now, for clearance sales on the Abomination wave....yeah, I doubt that will be happening.

It looks like it's just a reuse of the Adam Warlock cape from the exclusive Red Hulk BAF wave. Though it wouldn't be terribly difficult for Hasbro to do a minor re-sculpt to get rid of the skull for Vision.

Spyne98 12-11-2016 02:40 PM

That Black Panther looks great. I have the other comic one from a few years back, but this might be a good replacement.

Never doubt Hasbro's ability to skip details like that. I think the recent Giant-Man SDCC figure still had a sculpted X-Men logo belt on it.

Actually they had most of that wave for cheap as well. I nabbed eel and ironskull for 9.97. If i had needed cap, cb or simon i would got em too. As it stands i just need, sadly not likely to find for retail, wanda or at least blonskys head, though i really want that cw wanda.

No problem man i was surprised that they were that cheap especially considering how shitty Walmart is but im happy that i got the only one I wanted from the wave for $10! And yeah im with ya there is no way the abomination wave will be that cheap i have only seen one from that wave and it was Captain Britain
