People have been doing their "chicken Little" impression since the first wave of MU- and there's usually one or two bullshitters that claim to have secret intel from a '"source" at Hasbro that absolutely, definitely said that the line was cancelled and that even the announced figures would never be made, etc.

And they were all full of crap.

The IM3 line is depressing and distressing, but it really means jack to the MU line- MU has better articulation now than ever before- Hercules and She Hulk have extra articulation even!

I agree with mark- wait till Toyfair and even then wait for an official announcment before drawing any conclusions- we still have several announced and prototyped figs coming, plus whatever else they have planned.
I'm looking forward to seeing new upcoming figures and once again laughing as I quote all the naysayers- the old 3.75" thread was choc full of such dire predictions- all wrong.

I don't know if this is the right thread or not but I just picked up a 3 Foot SHIELD Helicarrier for 44 dollars in the Clearance aisle at a local Wal-Mart. This was a big surprise to me, I'm glad I strolled down there. Pegs were barren by the way.. Hope this helps, keep it positive guys, the waves will come eventually.

That's great! I wonder if they'll get dumped to TJ Maxx/Marshall's in force like the Sentinels were.

For all the doom and gloom i've never said it's definitely going away. But ToyFair is pretty much make or break at this point. There's only a handful of unreleased (announced) figures left. There needs to be a decent amount of reveals or it's going to be a very long year with even more Chicken Little-esque sky fall.

I love this line and refuse to switch to Legends if it goes away. But when Hasbro recently stated that 3.75" is for kids and 6" is for collectors only... it fuels the speculation fire.

In the past, has Toyfair revealed alot of new marvel figures? It always seemed that SDCC was the place for the big reveals.

Generally, no. Toy Fair is an industry event and the primary purpose is for manufacturers/vendors to advertise and hopefully sell their product to retail companies. And a lot of the time, we'll see recycled displays and figures from previous cons with little or no new stuff. Occasionally we'll get surprised, but not often.

SDCC is a fan-oriented convention and a great platform to do new reveals to the community, though it has become increasingly commercialized over the years.

Cool, thanks! I'm curating a catalog/check list on ShelfLife for these and couldn't find any definite confirmation on the retail price.

The guy I got mine from said they were marked down to $15 AUD in his area, so sounds like I got a better deal than I thought. :)

Thanks for confirming that price,i had a feeling that those sets were reduced in the January sales to about 15 aussie dollars.
if they were being sold at this price at a major toy retailer(TRU or whatever),then this offer would have gone right across the board.
if it was being sold at a supermarket?then prices would have varied from store to store.

Well I hope they show something new, otherwise retailers will pretty much be seeing what was available last year.

How much are the quin jets retailing at now?

sosparadox89 01-31-2013 12:48 PM

Thanks guys, I had a feeling the Helicarriers would get marked down but not this quick. I ain't complaining though. Haha

sosparadox89 01-31-2013 12:50 PM

I actually didn't see any Quinjets, but I would guess they're still the regular 29.99.

sosparadox89 01-31-2013 12:53 PM

I'm dying for that Inhumans 3 pack though.. I keep going to the toy aisle everyday with my fingers crossed. Aren't they scheduled to come out today, isn't that the estimation? 40 dollars is just way too much.

bmorr 01-31-2013 01:08 PM

who said that?

redx24 01-31-2013 01:14 PM

i seen quinjets from 7.50-22 depending on area. i have seen $44 helliboards and some still full priced so if possible hit as many walmarts as u can they all have different prices. even on figs i seen 4.50 to 12.99 on on the normal figs good luck happy hunting

shortysben 01-31-2013 01:16 PM

I saw helicarriers at wally marked down to 39.99 before xmas...nothing new, they should be 20$ soon...ha ha ha

QuinJets are marked down at targets for 20.98 currently...I would pick one up if they dropped down to 15$

sosparadox89 01-31-2013 01:41 PM

This is what I seen from dorksidetoys:

@gunzilla

Of course! I in wales at the moment though.(science convention)
:D I almost wet myself at the service station when my bro called and told me it had arrived :) I waited so long to get that damm symbiote.

Symbiote 01-31-2013 02:51 PM

Has anyone confirmed if you can buy two of those smaller helicarrier sets and combine them? I think its two pieces since the sdcc one is three pieces.

Dark Avengers is complete. I don't really count marvel boy since that fool cut out early in the dark avengers story.

Does anyone know when we can expect to see the X-men 3-pack? The one with Rogue.

My Uncanny Avengers need her. Yesterday.

Symbiote 01-31-2013 03:20 PM

Online retailers like bbts are just shipping them out now.

fosterlager 01-31-2013 03:25 PM

If you have a local comic shop that carries MU, the Rogue/Inhumans/WCA packs have been sighted there as well.

I'm almost considering swinging into mine, I paid nearly $30 for the Fantastic Four w/clear Sue at Target last week. I'm already paying the premium, might as well get them!
