I stated that I could see Jackal being re-used as an Avengers: Beast following NYCC. Those photos only serve to buttress my thinking on the matter.

I'll know better once I have the fig in hand, but based on his height (while crouched even), he seems larger than the average mold. It's not just stature, either; the figure seems thicker than normal. If I'm not mistaken, the fig's shoulders appear to be equally as broad as that of UK Spidey, a mold that I understand will be used by Hasbro as the new "mid-buffed" (aka Grim Reaper body) mold moving forward. Even Jackal's legs look to be longer and more powerfully muscled than usual. I know some people rankle at the notion of this becoming the template for a new Beast offering, but I think it's perfect for a Bronze Age Beast.

About Symbiote Spidey, I wasn't wowed by it from the very start, but it'll serve well enough.

This better be true , i would get that warmachine in a heart beat

Hasbro Captain America Civil War Marvel Legends 6" Assortment 2017 Case of 8. Preorder! Start Shipping on 23rd December.

TheBlueMarvel 12-14-2016 11:16 AM

^Why wouldn't it be true? It's a pre-order...

People have been talking about it for two days. Have you heard something about it being a hoax? That would be an elaborate trick...

Byrnes 12-14-2016 11:21 AM

Much like that Hulkbuster UK wave I bet Hasbro will be doing this every once in a while from now on.

warmachine6 12-14-2016 11:48 AM

yeh i dont why i say it better be true, couldnt believe it dont need to hunt for that warmachine anymore

Damn man. If you ever need anything just holla and I'll grab it for you(for the next couple of months anyway, until I quit my job in Feb). I think I had 3 of those at one point, but sold them. I don't mind mailing to UK as long as you don't want it in the package.

*Edit Oh wait is the 2 pack or something?

Ok, I get it now..."stunned disbelief." Well, congrats man! That Warmachine is pretty dope. I'm very tempted to use mine as my comic Rhodey, but I'm not a MCU guy and I just can't do it! I've similar feelings about Panther...back to that Warmachine, the only drawback (IMO) are those strange "ammo clip" things you see pictured next to the left foot. They make no sense to me. While they look cool'ish (?) slotted into their housings on the wrists, mine fall off pretty easily when placed on the thighs. I actually fear losing them due to the ease of detachment. Other than that, the figure is awesome. Bulky and intimidating, with plenty of smart details. You'll likely love it!

Hopefully, the price of that EU Avengers 5pack will drop a little after the release of this UK wave. Fingers crossed...

EDIT @Byrnes Yeah, it's the two pack (packed-in with the Disco Armor) version.

I thought the Spidey-UK mold was replacing the Hyperion body, not Grim Reaper?

Yeah, I've heard people say the same thing, but I suspect not. Again, I'll need to have it in hand, but from what I can glean from the pics I've seen, it looks demonstrably smaller than Hyperion. I think this mold will be more of a "big" rather than "massive" male hero rubric. Hyperion, Gladiator, Luke Cage, and Radioactive Man (you could also throw in Thor for that mold as a personal wishlist redraft) are massive dudes. I don't have much experience with UK Spidey, but I get the impression he is just a "big dude" in the same vein as Grim Reaper/Simon/Whirlwind/Punisher/Cap.

I might be wrong, but I generally trust my eyes...

Cheers. Thing that get us uker when we buy stuff from the US is that customs charge though.. But who knows there might be a figure out there in the future. Yh that warmachine came with disco armour to which i dont like ... and was going for about £40 for 2 figures bit much , and the disco one was going for like £1.00 on ebay not many sold at the time.

Yeah either one would do really being eyeing that EU 5 pack. Does look awesome and they finally got him right with the rocket launchers etc. I got most of the warmachines toybizs classic one , AOU one and the `iron man 2 one.

I thought if you put a value of $10 or less they don't really charge you anything? I always do that when sending outside the US no matter what the value is.

Even though I was happy enough with the Toybiz Shocker I went ahead and grabbed the new ML version- if nothing else it was a fun excuse to bust out the Superior Foes!

With it in hand I can say it screams Beast mold. I will definitely be shocked if it is not used. It would be a bit lean for modern Beast but Bronze Age would definitely work.

I do not have Hyperion but I do have Radioactive Man which is on the same mold and Spidey UK looks smaller. It seems a bit smaller than the Grim Reaper body but I cannot say for sure without digging them all out of my storage bins. I would say it is more in line with the older mold used for Agent Venom and such. Sort of between Bucky Cap and Grim Reaper.

I am not the greatest at picking out specific molds but this wave seems to have a lot of different ones represented. Black suit Spidey is probably white suit Iron Fist size. Shocker and Goblin appear to be Bucky Cap with some extra detailing for Goblin. Spidey 2099 is the same size but with the added arm articulation. Jackal and Spidey UK appear to be about the same size with the difference being in the fur sculpting for Jackal. I think Ms Marvel is a new young female body (have not been keeping up so this may be known) as she appears to be smaller than either version of Spider-Girl which if I remember were the smallest of the modern female molds.

Sandman on the other hand is huge. His waist is only slightly below the top of Spidey UK's should when standing next to each other.

Jackal is too skinny to be Beast. Beast is supposed to be big and hulking, Jackal is thin and lanky.

What is with all of these exclusive four packs?!? I never even heard of that falcon WM IM cap pack! I do love that war machine though, plus you can put the open visor Rhodes head from the hulkbuster wave on him and it'd doesn't look bad at all.

Do you guys think that the euro exclusive Thor, or the one from the amazon four pack will get reissued this year in the Thor waves? I really like him for an MCU Thor, but he's kind of crazy expensive right now, so if he gets reissued I think he'll drop, or I'll get another shot at retail, but if he doesn't, and Thor has a different look in the movie he may shoot up higher. Its a conundrum...

Beast on the Jackal body would actually make a great Byrne era Beast for Avengers or X-Factor. He only got really big when Jim Lee started drawing him.

:) Ghost Rider (of course) and a MOTUC New Adventures He-Man alternate head. Just some minor sculpting/sanding/painting on a head I would never use for NA He-Man anyways.
