@Kirathis

Thanks for the confirmation, man...and the pics! I'm looking forward to that wave and the obligatory price drop a few months from now...I hope. lol I thought it was smaller than Hyperion (no surprise there), but I was also expecting that it would be roughly the size of the Reaper mold. Is it possible that it's shorter in height, but matches (or surpasses) the girth of the Reaper fig? I know your stuff's stored up, but just from a guesstimate perspective...what do you think?

@Dr Kain

I understand why you would say that, especially given your recent jaunt though X-books. However, you'd need to go back a bit further to Bronze Age Avengers books to appreciate what I'm saying and why some agree with me...the Bronze Age Avengers Beast was more lithe than his appearances in modern age X-books. He was still bigger than the average hero, but not by much. Additionally, while comic Jackal is normally illustrated as pretty gaunt, even without having the figure, I can tell that the Jackal figure tracks a bit on the large side in comparison to the books rendition of Warren...hence my theory that an Avengers Beast is in the works...

Do you guys think that the euro exclusive Thor, or the one from the amazon four pack will get reissued this year in the Thor waves? I really like him for an MCU Thor, but he's kind of crazy expensive right now, so if he gets reissued I think he'll drop, or I'll get another shot at retail, but if he doesn't, and Thor has a different look in the movie he may shoot up higher. Its a conundrum...

That 4 pack is a Disney Exclusive but I've yet to see it at retail. That Thor is pretty cool IMO...there's a possibility he'll be re-released in one of the upcoming waves.

Meh, minor effort to get them for some quick and dirty comparisons. Also yes, the Jackal figure is definitely larger than the comic appearances. I included a comparison of Jackal to Spidey UK.

http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/...pstertfyea.jpg
They are definitely not the same mold. Until I looked at them side by side I was not sure of the differences. They are pretty apparent to me now. For one, Reaper is broader in the upper body. Not by much but he is. Reaper's legs are noticeably larger as well. I would say they could replace Reaper with this mold but I kind of wonder if the Spidey UK look will be for larger but more acrobatic characters.

http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/...pskbd4itdw.jpg
From body scale I would say he is closest to the mold used for this Steve Rogers figure, original Drax and Agent Venom. A little shorter. I would actually call the Spidey UK mold a replacement for this one.

http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3erc3fij.jpg
Jackal is not exactly the same contrary to my original thought. Their ab crunch cuts (particularly in the back) are noticeably different. In fact, I would say Jackal is actually closer in size to Reaper than Spidey UK in the upper body area.

He is virtually a head swap and repaint away from a Bronze Age Beast as TBM suggested. I will admit I would prefer the larger hulking Beast. I liked that look better and it provided an even greater contrast between his appearance and intellect.

@Kirathis

Thanks a lot, man! Those pics are great. Ahhhh, I see now. I think you are right about this being a mold for more diesel agile heroes...Moon Knight? That would be cool!

Haha! We've come full circle, buddy. Seems like it was just yesterday that I was posting these pics for you....and now... *sniff* wipes happy tear from eye *sniff*...you're doing me the favor!

Another possible re-use of the Jackal upper body could be Vermin, it looks appropriate & even the hands & feet are matching.

But I am talking about the Byrne era of X-Men when he appeared in the issues with Phoenix.

We can all pick and choose issues (like I did finding many skinny Beasts) - sometimes jackal will be too small and sometimes he will be perfect. I've got a great Toybiz beast for the Jim Lee shelf- a Jackal repaint will be perfect for my classic Avengers shelf. So while you may think it's the worst thing ever if Hasbro were to repaint him into Beast- I think it's a great fit!

Lol...just this year I've been getting more into Iron Man/War Machine than ever before. I think it's because the major 6' action figs Japanese companies are going all out now. The future's so bright...I gotta wear shades!

warmachine6 12-15-2016 05:43 AM

i can help dim the future down a bit , just send us one of those figures ;)

Every package that I'm expecting is delayed. I have 4 boxes stuck in San Antonio and it's only 140 miles away from where I live. Usually if it's in San Antonio I get it the same day.

Anybody got an extra Hobgoblin BAF leg that came with pizza spidey??

Sorry, I saw the message, but I sold the extra Hobgoblin pieces I had in a large Build a Figure/Collect and Connect lot months ago...messed myself up too. I sold a DCUC Chemo leg and have since decided to build Chemo and only need the legs to finish him!:o lol

Love the Green Ranger vs Iron Fist pic! I initially thought that my money would be on Danny, then I remembered how powerful the Green Ranger was supposed to be...lol

Also digging the Cage custom. I see you followed through on the dialogue form a few weeks back...

I don't know if they've announced it yet, but the weather has USPS expecting serious delays. We're even working package delivery on sundays till Christmas. To put it in perspective, on a bad day I'll have about 150 packages, last Sunday I had just under 800. If you ordered through amazon your package will be given higher priority, due to the USPS contract with Them. ( if it's not on time the Post office doesn't get paid.)

Spyne98 12-15-2016 09:36 AM

My BBTS order of the Spider-Man wave is en route. Right now it says Saturday, but NY is expecting snow. We'll have to wait and see.

Oh ok, yeah I figured something was up cause it's been like this since the beginning of this month.

Thanks

Its crazy how pizza spidey has climbed up in prizes in the secondary market , when he was a peg warmer.

Yeah Im pretty happy with that simple Luke Cage custom. As for Danny and Tommy , if ever Danny gets the upper hand , Tommy can always call the Dragonzoid lol.

Really? I only saw him them 1 time I bought it. As far as I could tell he was a hot figure and everybody wanted it.

It varied from area to area. I was able to find plenty of pizza Spideys for awhile, I just didn't want one. I guess some locations just had more people who wanted a new primary Spider-Man.

I do want the new symbiote Spidey since that is one of my all-time favorite looks and since it's both a repaint and two per case I shouldn't have much difficulty.

I suppose. Living in busy city things disappear very fast around here. I only want Shocker and Symbiote from that wave. Probably have a hard time finding him also.
