My Hulkbuster wave came in from HTS today. I am curious to see how heavy the completed Hulkbuster turns out to be as those packages are noticeably heavier than normal Legends!

Found JW series 2 at a TRU. Love how they made the scrambulance look just like the MVU in the film.

Also picked up these sweet corps! Plastic soldiers

imo they should've done some kinda transparent trickery when they made him as a figure...just my 2 cents

yeah, that was the same thought i had as well.

it would've been nice if the figure was more transparent and they had painted the spine on the back of the figure so it looks like the ribs are in the foreground with the spine in the back.

It would also have helped if the skeleton paint app wasn't so hard on the edges, perhaps more of a airbrushed look, and use a neon green that's semi-transparent? Well, I'm sure the cost prohibits that.

Either way, that "glowing skeleton inside a clear body" look would be hard to pull off in toy form, unless you REALLY insert a neon skeleton insert inside the clear blue figure parts, but once again, cost probably prohibits that.

I only ever remember them doing this before was with the figure of "Blight" from the Batman Beyond toy line where they put the bones inside.

I just googled "Batman Beyond Blight". That's how Bane should have been made! Sure the articulation would suffer a bit, but man, that Blight is one COOL figure!

Il Cattivo 08-21-2015 11:24 AM

I'm loving the heck out of this guy. he just feels so right scale-wise with the MU figs.

wanted to pick up the venom with the guardsman base and man-spider as well but they looked like they're at least 7" tall. a little too big. bummer. they look awesome.

Didn't the Holocaust BAF have an internal skeleton...at least on the torso?

yeah, that would've helped as well.

but you're right, combine the couple tricks that we've stated and i think the end result would've been a bit better.

He did but it was red skeleton and the shell body was not very transparent. Kind of that half opaque orange plastic.
Blight was a Glow in the dark skeleton and a very transparent green plastic.

Nice score! But you transformed Sideswipe wrong. For Sunstreaker, his windshield faces front, but for Sideswipe, it's his car front that faces front.

micah1199 08-23-2015 01:24 AM

Is that henkei sunstreaker or the hasbro version? Nice score!

I didnt realize til later my mistake. i had spent the previous 10 minutes transforming them lol. they dont make em like they used to, thats for sure. much more engineering went into these guys than todays transformers.
