Just got word that the comic pack set is on its way out to me from BBTS.
It pains me that the only Marvel stuff in stores I've seen this year are the Titans and 2.5 Cap and Bucky motorcycles. |
I'm in too deep to leave now, but I can't pay the $13 sticker price for what we are getting. Once I find them for $10 or less I go ahead and get them.
I noticed in the store that Yondu's card was different, due to the choking warning, but I was unhappy once I realized why it was there. He is the only figure in this wave with accessories... I just wished paying more meant getting more, but we all know that is not the case. I'm hoping this haul motivates me to figure out how I will display everything, but I am still unsure where everything is going to go. |

Those 2 packs are findable at target, but with taxes, gas etc it's probably the same price from BBTS. My local TRU sold them like hotcakes and has not restocked.
In a moment of weakness I bought the new legend 6" venom... BUT... since he has been drawn huge I consider it compatible with the 3.75". Kind of pisses me off he comes with 4! heads AND 4 hands... Also bought my son a batman vs superman mystery mini figures, at about 1.5 inches it has waist articulation and was only $3. Hasbro is stiffing is 3.75" collectors! |

Nice Daredevil custom kitbash; that head looks good. How does one paint stubble?
|
Guessing that's an Iron Fist head on a Panther body. Would be tempted to swap out the legs for any pair of GI:Joe cargo/military pants but that's just me.
As for stubble, I tend to water down paint and apply with a scruffy brush - results tend to vary! |
To paint stubble.... dip an old toothbrush into very slightly watered down paint. 'Flick' bristles by holding head and running thumb downward quickly. Practice practice practice on paper first...make sure figure is Standing for best result. Flick once...maybe twice. Wipe away excess from unwanted areas.
Never actually did this on a figure.... it is how one paints "foam and splash" when doing a wave or beach scene landscape. Should work titties...Practice first. It is an acquired skill set. Give it a go, let me know. |

Is the old Iron Man 2 comic series (original suit) head on a ball joint?

I've gotten some guns from Marauders recently so I could better arm my Punisher. They even sent me the gas mask as an extra freebie. Very cool people to do business with.
