So Harleyn is kind of a cougar. The Joker figure is from origins and Harley is from Knight. As she was a phd when they met that would make her mid forties at least right? I thonk the figure looks great given her age.

You can have a PHD by your late 20s. No clue how long she had it before she met Joker, and he wasn't exactly young when he was first sent to arkham. So I think it's safe to say they're near the same age to Joker being older. The way the comics have always portrayed her, she was rather fresh from getting her doctorate before she became enamored with Joker. So roughly probably mid 30s.

thewriteguy 12-04-2014 05:48 PM

There appeared to be two different sculpts of the AO Joker. Mattel may have dropped the better looking one because it could have been difficult to mold to reproduce, since its detailing is sharper. (Now I wonder if it may have been sculpted by hand.) The one that appears in the Date Night set looks similar to the one that is now showing up in stores and on eBay as a single-carded figure.

The sculpt for Harley looks the same (Date Night set and sold separately versions). It's the bad paint job on her face that kills it. The version that Mattel showed at the cons, and which appear in close-up promo shots, is probably hand-painted, I bet.

You seem to have a point there.. If you notice on Harley pg91 the front part of the hair is different than the one shown at the con, it being rounded and not as sharp. Maybe they just have a problem reproducing the more detailed look... hope not.

Ninjinister 12-04-2014 11:48 PM

I hope they're not doing the Playmate "lol it costs to much cut back everything" sort of deal.

snake5289 12-04-2014 11:57 PM

Why not it's what Hasbro's doing.

Just got a injustice harley and I tried to move here right hand and it broke off in the peghole anyone have a link and luck to deal with the asshats that made such a crap line of figs that even the gentliest of movements end in such dissarray?

Yeah, DCC ain't gonna help you. I tried a couple of times before, they just say to deal with the people you bought it from.

That doesn't seem like too bad of a breakage, though. Shouldn't be hard to fix. My Injustice Wonder Woman had both arms break off at the shoulders, and all it took to fix that was a little bit of drilling, a twisty tie, and a butt-load of patience.

Yea I figured this was the case shitty toys made a shitty company. Still I'm gonna give them a try first and then im gonna send them a letter of their shittyness and then I'll let it go. I've had issues with all sorts of figs but thats usually one per company. Of 3 DCC set all three have had issues and none are the sellers fault so I have seen no reason to involve the seller. I'm only involving DCC this time because this item was purchased at full price and the figure I wanted from the set is the one broken.

snake5289 12-06-2014 06:59 PM

Damn that sucks. I'm planing to grab the Batman/Joker and Catwoman/Doomsday packs here soon but I'm nervous as hell about them breaking. So far I've had pretty good luck with them.

If you can find a lone doomsday do it Catwoman is a complete shit figure that literally pulled apart while I cut it from its packaging

eva00kai 12-06-2014 07:18 PM

Its so odd to me seeing people having issues with the dcc injustice figures. I have almost all of them and never had any major issues. The biggest one i have is batmans leg keeps popping off at the hip and i cant figure out how to stop it.

snake5289 12-06-2014 07:22 PM

I have that same problem with Superman. So far I've got Superman, Nightwing, Harley, Cyborg, and Flash and haven't had any severe problems so far.

Why'd they have to quit before they made Shazam? They made Black Adam but who's he going to go toe-to-toe with? I wanted to make a little diorama of Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam.

Awwww and that's the Catwoman I play as in Injustice too. I was looking forward to both of those.

Good luck if you get it then. Personally I have no intention of dealing with a company that won't even help with thier shitty product

Poison Shadow 12-06-2014 07:36 PM

The quality is all over the place. I have the Catwoman/Doomsday set, and my Catwoman has had no issues at all, and I've toyed around with her poses quite a bit before settling on the final one. She's been hanging from a gargoyle by one arm for months. Aside from a stuck wrist joint that I refused to gamble with, she's had no issues.

I sold Batman almost immediately, but I kept Joker - and I'm tempted to say that I've had no problems, but there's something off about his neck post. The head movement is wonky and loose. I'm kind of wondering if the neck post is broken and is only hanging on by a thread. I haven't touched it since I posed him aiming his rocket launcher.

But yeah, DCC's 3.75" stuff just aren't worth it unless you get a deep discount and/or are good at fixing breakages.

Autobot_Goldbug 12-06-2014 07:42 PM

We've discussed this before. DCC uses some sort of cheap clear plastic. Their "fix" was to add more grease to the joints of figures. Of course this grease dries out over time.
This has been an ongoing problem with DCC figures of all scales. I don't understand why they don't switch to a better type of plastic.

Where did you buy the figure? Maybe you could exchange it for another?

oh the joys of DCC 3.75 my Supermans leg keeps popping off, Aqumans arm cracked at the elbow joint right out of the package, I don't dare try to alter Wonder Womans pose cause both her elbow joints look like they will crack if I look at her wrong, and my Atrocitous was loose straight from the box.

I've had that problem with my injustice Wonder Woman too. Other than that I've been lucky with the injustice figs too. They get a lot of play with my 4 year old. I really like the black Adam figure but I agree with snake 5289, we need a billy batson. SHAZAM!

I got so desperate for a Shazam fig i bought the IH version to do battle with my injustice Superman... His hands are so BIG!!

snake5289 12-06-2014 09:36 PM

I had that one. His hands were indeed crazy big.

Problems with the Infinite Heroes line aside the Microman figures just look awful.

True, I've already replaced them with their Multiverse counterparts. Next is Catwoman then hopefully one day Batgirl.
Don't know if I will ever get to replace my Street Fighter ones, Chun-Li and Sakura.

In this case, you may as well keep them in the packaging untouched. On the bright side, you'll have a mint, unopened item which should ensure its collectible value through the years! :)

They're also difficult to pose without them popping apart (they are designed to pop apart and be reassembled of course).

I might get a Microman Batman Begin's Ra's al Ghul if I can find a deal: Mattel never did the Batman Begins version of that character in 4".
