I like it!!

Jason Abbadon 05-21-2012 09:58 AM

Just saw a ton of coolness at Wal mart- the ML movie Avengers...KICK. ASS.
Hulk is like two figs woth of plastic that was impressive, but the best by far ws Hawkeye!
Probably the best ML fig I've ever seen- perfect actor likeness, immaculate paint aps and it looks to have nice articulation (no rocker ankles though on any of them).
f
As or MU, they had comica packs and box sets- they had the box set with Hulk for only $20-which seemed a great deal but I passed- Hulk is SO DISAPOINTNG.
He's only as tall as the Steve Rogers buck!

SO weak. Such a great sculpt but not worth my buying a bunch od figs I already have....

Nit when there's the awesome of GI Joe Retaliation carded figs!
These...they're everything MU should be and only $6.99- The basic Cobra trooper will make an incredible Hydra soldier after a repaint- two helmetsgreat sculpt and crazt extras that would rock for kids- like a parachute.
The basic Joe trooper has two extra heads and tons of gear- and looks more like a 3.75" Halo guy than anything else. Bought Roadblock and Storm Sgadow to make Cage and Phantomex!

Cobra Commander is okay...no match for the resolute box set version though so I skipped the snake.

The red ninja fig is perfect for the Hand- just paint the eyes glowy green and you have a fig a million times better than the MU Hand fig-great posability and cool weapons.

Zartan is impossibly cool- FOUR heads! Not those dippy mask things either- full swappable heads. He's got a great hood if you want to make a custom Senyaka.

Duke is....well, he's Duke. Looks like the same guy as last movie with more of a flat-top. I got more than enough Duke, thanks.

Only Snake Eyes was a let down- he looks scrawny.

Cant wait to get some of the other Retaliation Joes now- lots of MU custom potential.
So- found a ton of stuff, only got three figs.

On an mu note, is it just me whose thinking that the herocliks giant man they announced for sdcc would go good with mu. To be used to show the growing effect.

I bought like four Shaman figs and six extremis Iron Man for their glowy bits- Shaman's electricity can by cut off and glued back together for a great effect for Doctor Strange or Electro and IM's thrust effect looks great under IM or any armored guy's boot jets- or as a cool fireball to stick in Human Torch's hand!

Quasimodo 05-21-2012 10:24 AM

Congrats on the baby shockwave! Now you have an excuse to buy those great baby costumes at halloween. :p

LapuLapu 05-21-2012 10:34 AM

Yup saw the same thing as JA and just bought 3 figs also lol , 2 stormy for fodder and a red hand ninja almost picked up zartan too. Was thinking of pickin up some of those Power rangers with the white coat for a Phantomex custom since I hate painting white and yellow.

itMFtis 05-21-2012 11:47 AM

Are you sure the Avengers 3.75" 4 pack was for $20 and not some other item? I just left Walmart with a set and it was $30. I was really kicking myself for essentially paying $30 for a 3.75" Hulk, but after taking him out of the package and messing with him, that sting was relieved, a little at least.

Jason, if you mean the Avengers 4 pack w/ Hulk, Loki, Hawkeye, IM, then please pick one up for me. Please.

NoodleChow 05-21-2012 11:50 AM

yeah couldn't justify 30 bucks for 1 hulk that i plan on using as fodder to make a better hulk. figured i'd wait for the single card to hit in a couple months. figured that money would be better spent for a beta, beast and a hulk.

I wont be by there till at least Thursady, but I'll check- that store like like 20 miles from my house.\Hawkeye looks great, BTW- a nice metallic color on the arrow pouches all over his costume.

Damn. Just foling with Roadblock and it turns out he lacks ankle articulatin....I can fix it, but still- BOO.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Storm Shadow has rocker ankles! And they're way better than the MU ones too- smaller so they'd work for women and Spidey mods!

megajonzero 05-21-2012 12:25 PM

If anyone has any extra Avengers Hawkeye, Loki, Hulk, Cap or the 4 pack with Loki and Hulk please let me know. Theres a pretty good chance I'll never find them on my own. I'm willing to pay extra if i have to or trade. Pm if so! Thanks

Thank you to everyone who sent their well wishes in our awesome thread. You guys are the best.

:)

Congrats! Welcome to the world of fathering a son. It seems to be very different than fathering a daughter, thus far, but that could just be mine.

In any case, a Baby Yoda costume in your Baby Bjorn while you are dressed as Luke works pretty great for the first Halloween!

STILL not finding 6" Avengers or Avengers 4-packs in my neck of the woods. Checking Walmarts every night now.

Jason Abbadon 05-21-2012 12:33 PM

Those 6" Avengers...man, it's a good thing I dont have room for them- I'd be broke(er) this week!

Specter 05-21-2012 12:56 PM

Anyone have a pic of a Deadpool figure standing next to someone like Ultimate Captain America?
Trying to figure out the height.

Thanks.

Nexodusrex 05-21-2012 01:01 PM

I have a question..

Does anybody know if the Spider-man 3 Movie Figures from hasbro have removeable heads much like MU or GIJoe?

My little 4yr old is my little "hunting" buddy and is now quite possibly an even bigger nerd than his daddy. If I ever get tired of fruitless searching for figures, he reminds me how its all worthwhile when he gets so extremely excited once he finally got the 4" Avengers Hulk today (you'd have thought I'd just given him an MOC Marvel Legends Deadpool, lol) ;D

I hope your little dude is as awesome for you as mine is for me!!!

It's a great feeling having the little one home. My first was just born on the 8th. There's nothing like it.

Enjoy every moment while the baby is that small they grow so fast!!! And also a word of advise when changing diapers for little Jack Dylan , keep mouth close as your little man would be prone to making unexpected fountains :)
