My TRU finally got him in:

For the most part he is awesome. In fact, he makes it hard to look at NECA's 84 toy now. Unfortunately, I don't like that they colored his tongue in grey instead of red and the tail is way too short. Not to mention it doesn't actually lock into the socket, so if you bend it too far, it just slides out, very annoying. Nevertheless, this is just down right amazing and NECA needs to show off their next toy asap! Third time really was the charm for them when it came to the Jp Godzillas because they nailed him out of the park.

Oh yeah, one really weird thing, he is taller than all of the MonsterArts Godzillas, which makes him look a bit out of place when they are all together, especially the 2000 one since they are supposed to be the same height. I won't even get into how much he towers over the 64 version.

Very good review. I do like this kylo ren better than the black series based on this. I love the black series version.....but soft goods get to me. The size difference is also nice. I have always wanted Star Wars in Neca and McFarland scale. I look forward to this coming. I will collect all Jedi and sith beyond that maybe.

Lucky, my TRU has given NECA the boot and pushed all of their stuff onto one end aisle piece in the back of the store which it shares with anything Mezco and Funko's legacy line, so my store isn't getting much of anything new from NECA for a while until they move it again.

Well they are making it look like it did in the film, not the costume, so technically the tongue being that color fits the overall black and white color scheme. They could eventually repaint this later in the actual costume colors which was supposedly some kind of brown and then the tongue would be red or some other flesh color. The tail is a bit shorter than the costume's but since we barely see his tail in the first film anyway it's not a big deal, to me anyway.

Randy has said a couple of times now on Twitter that they have two (this number might be wrong I don't know for sure) more figures sculpted and at prototype-ish level but Toho needs to clear them before they can show any teases or advance the figure making process.

Me too, but I struggle to get the new stuff as my LCS refuses to sell them due to low demand. :(

That's why I was kind of surprised to see new releases of them. Lcs and tru are the only place I see those at.

Thx! Lol...yes and no! I buy one of each to open and one to collect. I prefer Z just because it's not reduced like Kai.

Zorn88 09-14-2015 11:17 AM

Got this guy in the mail from Ebay.

I love it and am really happy with how it looks in person. Can't tell that it isn't an official Lego minifig.

I had to resort to eBay to get deathstroke. With this line (like most lines these days) changing to 6" I did not want to miss him.

Nice. I hope they eventually make a Batman Beyond Lego set. Blight and Inque would also be a must.

Thanks! I'm very happy with the price I paid - half of what I would have paid on Amazon!

So much for Friday...It is here via USPS. The earlier stuff was Fedex. Probably shipped from different locations. Anyways...complete!

Also loose from eBay...Azrael! Both the DCSH and the DCUC 2 pack versions...the diffrence is hard to see but the DCSH has dark wash all over and the armored vest is more of a cooper color; the DCUC vest is mostly black with some cooper wash but very few dark wash throughout.

Agree 100% with you bro! I mean I like the new costumes and looks and all that good stuff but this one is the best look IMO.

I would say the best 2014 Godzilla is easily the 2 foot long NECA Godzilla. He's huge (just over 12" tall, over 24" head to tail, and 7" from foot to foot) and detailed with the benefit of being actually cheaper than the SH version which is only as big as the smaller NECA one. You can get him on amazon still, if you're a Prime member he's still under $80 though his retail was closer to $60. Also he has a sound gimmick which is nice.

It really depends on the size of scale you are interested in. Like En Sabah said, the two foot Zilla with sound from Neca is excellent. However, if you are more interested in the smaller sizes, the MonsterArts one kills the NECA one in every aspect except price. It's gorgeous.

I have nearly all of the 2014 Zillas, but honestly, this guy is my favorite...He is just too much fun...

The Jakks Godzilla is the most playable and the largest but least detailed or articulated, but when you're that big...

Yeah, as a toy the SH beats the smaller NECA one but the SH is more than three times the NECA price. It's actually something that kept bugging me back when NECA released their first classic Godzilla with the '94 suit, a lot of people kept comparing it to the SH one but managed to selectively forget the notable price difference. It'd be like comparing a Hyundai sedan to a Mercedes sedan and not once acknowledging price, the Hyundai is good and gets its job done while the Mercedes is better in almost every way BUT it costs three Hyundais.

Finally got this!!! Been watching forever to get it complete for a decent price http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/...psqsqdx0pj.jpg

Iceman 09-14-2015 06:42 PM

The Firefly Yahtzee thing I had been wanting for a while but $50 was just too much. B&N had it one their 50% off clearance table so I couldn't pass it up. The Serenity inside is actually better than I expected it to be. Totally worth the price. Troop Transport was $12 at TJ Maxx.

I also noticed they are all the GOT Funko figures there, some decent Lego sets, artfx statues, some Marvel Selects (anti-venom and Magneto) so might be worth a stop if any of that interests you.

Blah!! Z is great for nostalgia, but Kai is how the series should have been in the first place. Granted, it still doesn't fix all of the filler and pacing issues (like the fight between Goku and Freeza), but at least it improves upon them. Not to mention they got rid of the piece of **** Garlic saga. Oh, and it has a real English dub.

I just can't justify the BDs of Z though. I have the DBoxes and those are as good as the series will ever get unless Funimation actually releases them not cropped and properly remastered on BD.

Anyway, nice collection there. I'm assuming you already have Dragon Ball, right? If not, you should definitely get the five sets that are out for that on DVD. Funimation is trying to get the Dragon Box versions for that series, but it seems like Toei won't give them up. The only thing that sucks about those versions of Kai is that they don't feature the original Kai music that the first four volumes had before it was revealed that the composer was apparently plagiarizing something.
