i think its safe to say we're getting a F4 wave, looking at the packaging

Boy Blunder 01-06-2017 10:35 AM

...it's weird, because as far as I know, the Walmart exclusives up to this point haven't had a 'Walmart exclusive' sticker on them (I'm including other toy lines, since I still have never seen Falcon or Bucky). So I'm wondering if T'Challa is a Walmart exclusive outside of the US? Especially given that the sticker looks to be bilingual (can't tell if it's French or Spanish, given the blur of the photo), and we know Walmart operates in both Canada and Mexico, while Walgreens doesn't have any non-US stores (aside from ones in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands).

Sue... hard for me to say since, again, the photo quality is meh, but she could be looking good. Glad to see an alternate hand option, too. Something looks off about the way her hair sits on her head, but that might also be due to the low quality of the image.

If that Groot is legit, I'm dead. I never got the previous GOTG figures, and would love to get a Groot without having to hunt down the parts or buy a Nova and a crappy Iron Man. Plus the head sculpt and the tinier Groots make me smile. Again, if legit, I'm down. The TRU exclusives haven't been too hard to find in my experience.

No need for Panther, but F4 figures and Groot are must haves. Panther does look nice though. Walgreens has been killing it with exclusives since Namor and Punisher. Daredevil and Ant Man were ok, but these blow those away with accessory value

Yes they stock them plentiful almost to the point where they kind of shelf/peg warm. Hopefully it doesn't hurt them though and they continue to get the Marvel Exclusives.

Except for Punisher. I saw him all of once, when I picked him up. I frequent three nearby Walgreens, and none of them have had him in since.

Namors a-plenty, and still some Daredevils and Black Ants, but Punisher was a hot seller, methinks.

advocatepinoy 01-06-2017 10:57 AM

Woah. Well that's something!

Captain Nash 01-06-2017 11:20 AM

Front page has a side and back image of the Groot packaging now, instead of just the front. Suspicions that this is a custom are fast decreasing, which is great because I AM GROO--I mean I really want this!

Boy Blunder 01-06-2017 11:46 AM

Question for anyone who's completed the Dormammu BAF - does the chestplate/shoulder armor (packed in with Iron Fist) need to be put on before attaching the arms? I just snagged Brother Voodoo last night, but given that I don't see any connecting point for the armor, I wanted to make sure it wasn't held in by the arms before popping the right arm on.

TheBlueMarvel 01-06-2017 11:53 AM

It's the head that keeps it on...

I hope that Sue is not on the teen body. Having a Kitty Pryde that stands taller than Sue is less than ideal.

That sucks, I've seen Punisher as well at various Walgreens. Not sure if they're still there, great looking figure for sure though.

From what I can see, it looks like she's on the Silk base body.

Augustus_Cole 01-06-2017 02:08 PM

nice fig...i wish more of her was "invisible" than just the slightly invisible arm...

SIDE NOTE: i think that Herbie is up to something...look at that pervy digital smirk

Captain Nash 01-06-2017 02:14 PM

So is anyone going to try and put an OML head on Chameleon's body and try to customize a Reverend William Striker? Just a thought I had....I know it's not really Striker's outfit but maybe repainted black it's closer.

Yeah, that's what I feared. That's the teen mold, but it has been fudged into an adult woman body recently with Silk and Ashley. The height thing isn't a deal breaker, I've had to swallow many other Legends scale issues. It just doesn't sit well with my mind's eye version of Sue. I was hoping they might introduce a new female mold with her, guess not.

The rumors circulating are that Sue and Johnny are coming out this year and next year we will see a release of Reed and Ben. I wouldn't give up hope so easily. I don't recall seeing any additional figs on the Punisher, Ant-Man (Black Ant), or Namor boxes either...

Namor did , just showed the rest of the civil war wave. i.e being linked.
as well as Punisher with the spider-man absorbing wave.
ant-man didnt...
which is what i wanted to see on sue, though could be done like 2 packs, but i want a new dr.doom

Captain Nash 01-06-2017 02:35 PM

Man all this talk about F4 figures is great, but the lack of a cohesive wave makes me sad that we won't get a BAF out of it. Attuma, Dragon Man, Galactus even a Thing BAF would have been good.

Also if it's just singular releases we'll likely only get the 4 and Doom. There goes my hopes of a Wizard.

Ok, I gotcha. By teen body, I thought you were referencing the Spider-girl mold. Yeah, this mold appears to be Hasbro's option to a young adult/petite female body size. While it's not perfect, I don't mind it much for Sue.

Yeah, just checked google and saw that. I believe the rumors have legs. Releasing only Sue would represent the height of madness from a marketing perspective.

We received tweaked re-releases of Panther, Daredevil, Brother Voodoo, Enchantress, comic Starlord, and the Vision. A-listers like the FF could get the same treatment. As silly as it sounds given that we're taking about the FF, maybe they are testing for interest.

Yeah...no clenching of upraised fists, nor gnashing of teeth over here. Just mild disappointment. Kitty is petite, not Sue. I don't hate that mold, but I ain't a fan either.

Could be. I hope so. They may not be as interesting to me as the Avengers or X-Men but I definitely have interest. They are one of the four cornerstones of the Marvel Universe, without any of them to hold them up the whole thing is tilted and will eventually topple.

warmachine6 01-06-2017 03:21 PM

if anyone remembers i dont want the case of the Wrecking Crew...
i.e a figure one per year, kinda. 2012 = thunderball & piledriver ,2013 = wrecker, then er wait 2 years 2015 for bulldozer -.-

Bo Ttef 01-06-2017 03:22 PM

seeing Sue makes me glad i ended up grabbing a Namor, there might be a decent FF line-up in the modern ML after all! Now... about that Ronan....
