CCC.

What, that's an awesome price, may need to go check out my Walmarts then...

Shane Black is saying he was forced to change Iron Man 3's villain from female to male so they could sell the toy.

Uhhh... What toy?

Perhaps this?

Or, if he was referring to the Mandarin, perhaps he meant the cancelled 6 inch Legends figure?

Agreed. I can now walk into any Walmart and buy a 6" legends figure for $15.83 and get just about any figure from the last 2 years or so. I can now get the 6" figures cheaper than the 3.75" ones. Makes no sense.

I understand, and I sort of agree but it kind of comes down to cost vs. availability in some cases. If I only want one or two figures out of a wave, $20 each with tax and shipping is acceptable to me. And LL and Gamora are the only two I want from this wave; Gamora is still more than I will pay. On the other hand if I wait for these figures who knows how long I will actually be waiting....six months? one year? two years...who knows.

On the other hand if I want the whole wave I know I can just order it online and it ends up being a little less. Also if there's a figure I might end up wanting at some point but not a huge want for me, I don't mind waiting until they decrease in price closer to $13 or so.

That's my balancing plan for cost vs. want vs. compulsive addictiveness to what I want...I guess it works for me.

It was Killian and that Lego and a Heroclix are the only ones I know that were made.

I was by no means criticizing your decision to pay that amount captain Nash. It's actually cheaper than what you would pay on eBay or Amazon even at this point. I don't like the case packs that suck ass and make it hard to get these figures at a decent price. It seems like you have to order these by the case just to get them for the MSRP of $13 or whatever, or you have to wait over a year just to spot them at retail. The lack of torso articulation really limits these figures and they should not be charging that much for them.

I just got home from seeing Civil War and I thought it was pretty damn cool and overstuffed in a good way. I definitely want to get the TRU Black Panther and Carter two pack (assuming that's still gonna happen) but I am upset that there isn't an overall line for this film in this scale. I thought every character was handled fairly well with each getting their own moments to shine but I have a tiny little itch about it. SPOILERS Was that it for Crossbones in the MCU? I would be okay with that I guess but I read so many things stating Frank Grillo had a multi-movie deal contract that didn't just cover two films so it feels like they are somehow not done with that character yet. They showed him being a little more than just human with his endurance/resistance to Widow's stings but they'd have to do something more than that to explain if he made it out of that big boom. I dunno maybe magic or some shit will bring him back. END SPOILERS

I think they left it so he could come back if they can use him somewhere, he was heavily armoured and had obviously been enhanced. I dont think he will be back anytime soon though personally.

PLUS he survived a burning building falling on him when he was "normal"....hes a tough S.O.B.

That's what I'm hoping because even though he is a horrible, terrible, monstrous person Crossbones is a pretty fun villain and I'd love to see more of him on the big screen because what we got here was pretty great stuff in my opinion. He's the kind of guy who would empty a clip into Wolverine just for the satisfaction of shooting him even though Rumlow's well aware it's not actually doing any permanent damage.

Captain Nash 05-17-2016 07:39 AM

@Kernel, no worries man, I didn't think you were criticizing me. Just outlining my game plan because, at first glance, nearly $20 for a figure absolutely is high.

If this line could be found at retail (past the odd first wave for each year), then I think my plan would be completely different and I think a lot of us would resort to retail vs online. It's a vicious cycle of course -retail doesn't get the support it needs to adequately distribute the lines, but without the distribution why should the collectors bother with retail? Wish it were like the good old days of the MU line, RIP 2009-2011/2012 somewhere in there.

Totally agree with this statement....and it's really sad too.

Yeah agreed back the good ol days when most brick n mortar stores would get them every 2-3 months!

Madame Warlock 05-17-2016 11:28 AM

It feels like they're trying to excuse getting rid of the smaller line by overpricing them and failing to distribute them. It's often how stuff is phased out.

Ding, Ding, Ding!

You hit the nail on the head I said this on another thread, but I swear we are going to hear "Stores asked us to only carry one sized legends figure and since the 6" figures sell better (Due to better pricing and distribution) we are going to no longer produce the 3.75" line."

I think we are in for a rude awakening at this years SDCC...

Gosh I hope not. Ending this line before we get a Kingpin, Viper, and Lady Deathstrike would suck.

K Dubious 05-17-2016 01:49 PM

I agree Nash, we need Kingpin. I just think they are taking the right steps to end the line, by manipulating sales numbers to reflect their point of view.

I began setting up the NEW Dio this weekend and while I was "Posing" Blob I realized how awesome he is. I know a lot of people will be quick to say he is a statue, but the action feature doesn't take anything away from that figure and neck rotation is enough to save him from looking static. I think if Hasbro gave us something similar for Kingpin and put him in a two pack with an unmasked Daredevil (MCU Hawkeye head) I would be all over it.

Plus he wouldn't feel as cheap compared to rest of the crap they are releasing *cough Leg-Less Hydroman cough*

Ive posted this on alot of fb groups so some of you may have seen this but Im really bummed about this so here goes.

First off let me start by saying that I am NOT in the habit of calling people out online.
In fact this marks the first time I have ever had to do so unfortunately so I apologise for bringing this here, Im worried there might be others out there who have a had a similar problem with this guy though.
I was just hoping for some info / help / advice on a problem Ive had with a seller who goes by "FLIPWILSON" on here, Hisstank and possibly a few other sites/boards.
http://www.toyark.com/members/flipwilson-32624/
Email + Paypal address is thewerewolfnews@gmail.com.

I purchased some items from Flipwilson a while back and even though it took forever, the items did finally arrive.
Unfortunately there was a figure missing. So rather than making him send it to me separately I offered to buy a couple more off him so he could just include the one he missed out with this lot. I paid him a further $50 via paypal as a gift as he had requested.
After about 6 weeks I contacted him to let him know they had not turned up and he assured me they were sent. He said he would look into it and we exchanged a couple of messages but after that he just stopped replying to my messages.
As its been months I probably would have given up by now but I saw that another member had the same problem with Flipwilson so I am trying to get it sorted if possible?
I have contacted the BST mods. I also sent him a paypal request for a refund but so far its been ignored
Anyway sorry again for the rant, its just really frustrating after all my attempts to contact the guy and resolve the matter, I keep seeing him logging in here on a regular basis.

I don't understand how they do that though like... isn't it in their own best interest to do what sells instead of artificially messing with the market? THe problem is you get people with agendas etc...

You sure he doesn't have mail issues for that second shipment? 'Cause I shipped out a DW Caretaker backpack a few months ago to a fellow Arker, and I'm not sure if he even got it. I also can't recall getting his check(Though even if he did get it, I don't care about the money since it was just a small amount).

Well he told me he would look into it then just stopped replying.

Ive had stuff go missing / not turn up in the past and just let it go but I know of at LEAST one other Ark member who has had this same problem with Flipwilson. :/

Universe 05-18-2016 07:25 AM

I'm sorry to hear all that grim news, TheLongestDay; hopefully you get all sorted out soon. Just wanted to pop in and share what Pilkster is sending out to me today, can't wait to get these in hand! One still to be made (Meik) but these guys are on the way first! I present Warbound, and the symbiots! Bought a couple of his loose collection too, Goliath and Lizard, along with a King Odin.

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c9...psfsv8tts5.jpg

I'm very impressed with his efforts and I am pleased with the outcome! Pilkster worked tirelessly with me on the design and he came up with some really unique ideas that made these very satisfying customs.
