Yeah me too. The AoU repacks are clogging the pegs near me. I'm just happy we are getting an MCU black panther and Sharon carter.. I really liked BP in this movie.

Also went to see civil war at the imax... Wow it was even better the 2nd time around as there is a ton happening in the story. I wish the Russo bros would get a crack at the Xmen movies as I don't care for Brian singers work when it comes to comic book movies.

Well, that's what you get when people have already got those figures and didn't really like them the first time. I think the only ones worth getting are the Iron Man-Nick Fury and Cap-Black Widow packs. I really need to get off my butt on getting those, cause I really need a Nick Fury...And a Black Widow. Iron Man's a nice bonus.

Also, judging by Days of Future Past(literally the only X-men movie I've ever seen for whatever reason), I'd say that his style is good for a few movies, but I can see people getting tired of it(especially given how the MCU-Marvel movies work).

ukmu 05-19-2016 03:05 AM

K Dub.... I love that Blob figure!!! Actually one of my favourite in our scale to be honest. I absolutely hate the other one with the hole in his hand for the turkey drumstick.

ukmu 05-19-2016 03:06 AM

Saw X-Men Apocalypse yestersay..... it's as you'd expect. Not Civil War, but better than X-Men 3.

One still to be made (Meik) but these guys are on the way first! I present Warbound, and the symbiots! Bought a couple of his loose collection too, Goliath and Lizard, along with a King Odin.

I'm very impressed with his efforts and I am pleased with the outcome! Pilkster worked tirelessly with me on the design and he came up with some really unique ideas that made these very satisfying customs.

Awesome. Hulk just makes such a great villian. Here is an old pic of maestros trophy room:

I think someone wants me to stop collecting. The MU Gamoras I bought from China didn't arrive. It was even shipped second time and nothing so far. I was refunded in the meantime already and everything. I cannot find them locally and I'm not sure I will given how hard it is to find her in US. The BP & A13 pack no news on it. Right now we don't even know if they got cancelled or whatever. GI Joe is stopped reason why I've been looking into MU more recently.

If that wasn't enough today I read that the Independence Day new movie toys were cancelled. They showed a cool jet and alien ship at toy fair I think and now they cancelled it. They are not in the 4'' scale range but I think they would be cool additions to my 2.5'' collection.

Given I don't collect anything above 4'' I really don't have anything to collect. 6'' figures are cool but I do not want to start a new scale. 2.5'' and 4'' is sufficient. Plus a line without vehicles is not that appealing to me and they occupy more space also.

X3 was not hard to beat. Elektra was better than x3 ;) how was p-sylocke? And was havok in this?

My biggest problem with the x movies, all of them collectively don't add up. There is no attention to continuity, the future past and present are always being jumbled and re written. No one is true to there comic characters, in appearance or personality. Hell in present continuity none of the wolverine movies actually happened, right? The first three X movies were erased by DOFP. Juggernaut, who looked more like Charlie 27, wasn't the professors brother, but mystique is his sister! Which I feel would have come up in conversation in the first three movies at some point! I knew shit was going sideways when wolverine was 6' 2", and Cyclopes who in the films is the most boring non leader ever, was 5'8". The best x men on film as of yet were in the Deadpoool movie.

Truthfully if you ignore the Wolverines Origins movie the continuity can still all fit together (within its own universe, not reflecting on the comics universe as there are definitely differences.) I'm not saying the films are perfect: Last Stand definitely had some bad points to it (the only thing it beats every other film on is its musical score IMO) and Wolverine Origins is pretty much trash except for Sabretooth. But I thought X-Men was strong for its time being a 2000 film, and first of its series, and X2, FC and DOFP are pretty damn strong (FC does not get the praise it deserves usually, though i do wish they hadn't just so nonchalantly disposed of Emma at all, much less between FC and DOFP) The Wolverine was pretty decent as well.

To me it's interesting that for all the badmouthing Singer gets on his movies (well leave his personal life out of this point), the two movies that get the most criticism are two he did not work on. We can hardly fault singer for TLS and WO except for the fact he wasn't there to helm them.

And I get that certain characters have been mistreated in favor of others - Storm, Rogue (past the first two movies) and worst of all Cyclops...not a good thing, he should not have gone out that way in X3, and I get there are changes from the comics, but well, I just look at it as its a different universe. Changes are more acceptable to me than complete abuse of a character.

But to each their own. Personally given that W:O is so bad, and is the screw that flubs up the continuity so badly, it's probably just best to pretend it never happened and not watch it again.

To add, yeah, the Mystique being X's sister thing and not mentioned in X 1-3 does still screw up the continuity..I will give you that one....

Edited for adding some additional thoughts....

Mystique is easily explained. Something happened off screen that caused Prof X to erase her memory.

kylactus 05-19-2016 11:35 AM

All I have to say to sum up my feelings on the whole ball of wax... Silver samurai... Drop the mic.
Oh and why didn't wolverine have an adimantium skeleton and bone claws in DOFP.?
And why did they cut the costume in the suitcase scene?
Or the entire "rough cut" bull shit! Am I suppose to take that as continuity? Oh wait it doesn't matter because we see her in the school for two seconds at the end, so can I assume that x3 never happened? That makes sense because the new beast doesn't look or sound like Kelsey grammar. And if angel was a teen In x3 in the not so distant future, how can he be in 1983? Each movie is good as a stand alone, but trying to piece any logical continuity together in the x-verse requires too many assumptions, no explaination, and a lot of suspense of disbelief.

Its like idw transformers oneshots trying to be in synch with one another or dbz movie and trying to figure out when the glorf they happened in the series.

ah, rape jokes…

if they did the Genosha storyline, that could be the catalyst for her to go and join the brotherhood.

On the other hand I just figure this is kind of how the continuity flows. Hopefully we see some skulls.

Actually it was an incest joke :p as in raven slipped chuck a colada. ;)

Ninjinister 05-19-2016 12:57 PM

Mystique actually raped Chuck on earth 13729 by masquerading as Moira. If there's any way it'd happen it'd be that way. No need for jokes when that shit already is a thing.

DOFP supposedly wipes out X-3 and even the Wolverine movies I believe if I read the articles correctly regarding the ripple effect that DOFP did. Probably why the Avengers movies/MCU does so much better because they pull and keep half of their stuff comic related and original, while the X-Titles kind of got skewered a bit.

In DOFP Wolvy didn't have his Adamantium because it was prior to him going into the Weapon X program...Yeah Fox isn't great with having the X-Series be continuous, and it'll still be a bit out of sync too even with Deadpool, unless they make the next X-Men movie the same time line as DP.
